More Stars for Netflix's No Good Deed; ID Premiering Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV; Remembering Carl Weathers

Netflix announced the additions of five recurring cast members joining No Good Deed, creator and executive producer Liz Feldman's upcoming dark comedy series. Matt Rogers (Fire Island, I Love That for You), Anna Maria Horsford (Amen, B Positive, The Wayans Bros.), Kate Moennig (The L Word, Ray Donovan), Linda Lavin (Being the Ricardos, Naked Singularity, Alice), and Wyatt Aubrey. No Good Deed is a half hour, dark comedy that follows three very different families vying to buy the very same 1920s Spanish style villa that they think will solve all their problems. But as the sellers have already discovered, sometimes the home of your dreams can be a total nightmare. Previously announced cast includes series regulars Lisa Kudrow, Ray Romano, Linda Cardellini, Luke Wilson, Teyonah Parris, O-T Fagbenle, Abbi Jacobson, Poppy Liu and Dennis Leary.

Investigation Discovery, the leading true crime network, announced Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, a four-part docuseries that uncovers the toxic and dangerous culture behind some of the most iconic children's shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV pulls back the curtain on an empire, built by creator Dan Schneider, that had an undeniable grip on popular culture. Series such as All That and The Amanda Show, among others, were obsessively consumed by children across the country and defined comedy for a generation. But behind the upbeat onscreen presence on these shows with questionable jokes and over-the-top sketches, Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV reveals an insidious environment rife with allegations of abuse, sexism, racism, and inappropriate dynamics with its underage stars and crew. Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV will premiere across two nights on ID from 9PM-11PM ET/PT on Sunday, March 17 and Monday, March 18.

Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV features unprecedented access to key cast members, writers, and crew spanning Schneider's popular series at Nickelodeon. Former All That cast members Giovonnie Samuels, Kyle Sullivan, Bryan Hearne and Katrina Johnson and director Virgil Fabian pull back the curtain on the culture on set of the beloved teen sketch series. Writers Jenny Kilgen and Christy Stratton expose allegations of a toxic and sexist environment in The Amanda Show writer's room. Alexa Nikolas offers insight into being a part of Zoey 101. Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV will feature additional cast and crew from iCarly, Sam & Cat, Victorious, and other iconic series such as Marc Summers from the popular game show Double Dare. Poignantly, the series will also offer emotional testimony from parents of cast members who attempted to advocate for their children on these sets.

In four parts, the series will shine a spotlight on these emotional accounts, chronicling a pattern of gross, abusive, and manipulative behavior that unfolded across decades, as well as exclusive stories about child predators on set. These interviews, woven with archival footage (some of which has never been broadcast), scenes from the shows and social media commentary, will recontextualize many moments within these series that may have seemed silly or off when first aired but now carry a much darker undertone, offering a powerful reframing of these beloved shows.

Actor, director and football player Carl Weathers, who portrayed a fictionalized version of himself in Arrested Development and who starred as Coach Trainor in Brothers, has died. He died of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease at his home in Los Angeles on February 2. Mr. Weathers was 76.

Weathers made his television acting debut as Calvin Brooks in the Good Times episode titled "The Nude", which aired on January 14, 1975. A woman, known in the projects as the "Wiggler" (Betty Bridges, the mother of Todd Bridges), asks J.J. (Jimmie Walker) to paint a nude portrait of her as a birthday gift for her husband Calvin. Calvin suspects his wife of cheating on him with J.J.

Some of his other early television guest appearances included Kung Fu (1975), S.W.A.T. (1975), The Six Million Dollar Man, Cannon, Switch, Bronk, McCloud, Most Wanted, Starsky & Hutch, Barnaby Jones, Serpico, Delvecchio, The Streets of San Francisco and Tales of the Unexpected.

Weathers starred as Fortune Dane in the short-lived 1986 ABC police drama Fortune Dane. He had a recurring role as Col. Brewster in nine episodes of the third season (1989-1990) of the CBS military drama Tour of Duty. He portrayed Sgt. Adam Beaudreaux in the 1991-1993 syndicated action crime drama Street Justice. He starred as Police Chief Hampton Forbes Police Chief Hampton Forbes in the sixth and seventh seasons (1993-1995) of In the Heat of the Night.

He portayed a fictionalized version of himself in four episodes of the Fox sitcom Arrested Development from 2004 through 2013. He serves as Tobias Fünke's (David Cross) acting coach.

He starred as Coach Trainor in the short-lived 2009 Fox sitcom Brothers. The series stars former NFL star Michael Strahan and Daryl "Chill" Mitchell as estranged brothers who are pressured to get along by their parents (played by Carl Weathers and C. C. H. Pounder) after Strahan's character moves back to his home town of Houston.

Weathers had a recurring role as Bolton "Beau" Miller in the first season of the science fiction drama Colony in 2016. He starred as State's Attorney Mark Jefferies in the 2017 NBC legal drama Chicago Justice. Some of his other television guest appearances included The Shield (2 episodes), Psych, Chicago Fire (2 episodes), Chicago P.D. (4 episodes) and Magnum, P.I. (2018).

He had a recurring role as Greef Karga in the Star Wars series The Mandalorian from 2019 through 2023. In 2021, he was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.

Weathers directed two episodes of The Mandalorian. Some of his other directing credits included Renegade, Silk Stalkings (8 episodes), Pensacola: Wings of Gold (2 episodes), Strong Medicine, 18 Wheels of Jusice (3 episodes), Sheena (5 episodes), For the People, Hawaii Five-0 (2019), The Last O.G. (2 episodes), Law & Order, FBI and Chicago Med (2 episodes).

His film roles included boxer Apollo Creed in the first four Rocky films (1976–1985), Colonel Al Dillon in Predator (1987), Sgt. Jericho "Action" Jackson in Action Jackson (1988), Derick "Chubbs" Peterson in Happy Gilmore (1996), and Combat Carl in the Toy Story franchise.

Mr. Weathers was a talented and versatile actor. He was able to show his comedic side on Arrested Development and Brothers. We thank him for the laughs and entertainment he brought us on television and in films. He will be greatly missed.

We also remember actress, singer, and dancer Chita Rivera. She played Connie Richardson in The New Dick Van Dyke Show. She died in New York following a brief illness on January 30. Ms. Rivera was 91.

Rivera appeared as Connie Richardson in seven episodes of the third season (1973-1974) of the CBS sitcom The New Dick Van Dyke Show. Connie and Richard Richardson (Richard Dawson) are the neighbors of Dick (Dick Van Dyke) and Jenny Preston (Hope Lange). The cast in the third season included Dick Van Patten, Barry Gordon, Henry Darrow and Barbara Rush.

She guest starred as Lenore Portillo in the Will & Grace episode titled "Dance Cards and Greeting Cards", which aired on February 10, 2005. Lenore Portillo and Lucille (Michele Lee) are the lesbians who ended up dancing with Will and Jack.

Rivera had a recurring role as Melody Rambo in the ABC soap opera One Life to Live in 1982. Some of her other television guest appearances included The Maurice Chevalier Show, The Gary Moore Show, The Judy Garland Show, The Outer Limits (1964), The Carol Burnett Show and Johnny and the Sprites. In 2011, she guest starred as Gladys Franklin in the comedy web series Submissions Only. She provided the voice of The Witch for two episodes of Dora the Explorer in 2004 and 2019.

After making her Broadway debut as a dancer in Guys and Dolls (1950), she went on to originate roles in Broadway musicals such as Anita in West Side Story (1957), Velma Kelly in Chicago (1975), and the title role in Kiss of the Spider Woman (1993). She was a ten-time Tony Award nominee, winning the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical twice for her roles in The Rink (1984) and Kiss of the Spider Woman (1993).

Ms. Rivera was a Broadway legend. She received numerous accolades including two Tony Awards, two Drama Desk Awards, and a Drama League Award. She won the Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2018. We thank her for her work on television and on Broadway. She will be deelpy missed.

The Simpsons Season 34 Streams October 11 on Disney+; Good Burger 2 Set for Holiday Season

Disney+ announced that season 34 of the hit animated series The Simpsons will launch October 11 on the streaming service. The new season of the Emmy® Award-, Annie Award- and Peabody Award-winning animated comedy takes fans back to Springfield for 22 more episodes of fun with the Simpson family. Season 34 also marks an exciting milestone – the 750th episode of The Simpsons titled "Homer's Adventures Through The Windshield Glass." The season features guest voice appearances from Fred Armisen, Anna Faris, Will Forte, Simu Liu, Lizzo, Rob Lowe, Melissa McCarthy, Jade Novah, Aubrey Plaza, John Roberts, and more.

The longest-running primetime scripted show in television history, The Simpsons exploded into popular culture in 1989 and has remained one of the most groundbreaking and innovative entertainment franchises, recognizable throughout the world. Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie are instantly identifiable television icons. In the premiere, Homer is desperate to prove he's not dumb and sets out to solve the case of the tortoise missing from the zoo. Season 34 also features a double dose of "Treehouse of Horror" episodes, marking the first time in the show’s history there have been two "Treehouse" -branded episodes in a single Halloween.

Paramount+ revealed the official key art and premiere date for Good Burger 2 (yesterday on National Cheeseburger Day), the new original movie sequel to the iconic '90s feature film based on the sketch from the Nickelodeon comedy series All That. The highly anticipated film sequel follows Dexter Reed (Kenan Thompson) and original cashier Ed (Kel Mitchell), as they reunite in the present day at fast-food restaurant Good Burger with a hilarious new group of employees. Produced by Nickelodeon Studios, Good Burger 2 is set to premiere in time for the holidays on Wednesday, November 22, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S and Canada, on Thursday, November 23, 2023 on Paramount+ in the UK and Australia. The film will also be available in additional Paramount+ international markets shortly after.

In addition to Thompson and Mitchell, Good Burger 2 stars Lil Rel Howery (Get Out) as Cecil McNevin, Jillian Bell (Murder Mystery 2) as Katt Boswell, Kamaia Fairburn (Blockbuster) as Mia, Alex R. Hibbert (The Chi) as Ed2, Fabrizio Guido (Perry Mason) as Mr. Jensen, Elizabeth Hinkler (The Good Doctor) and Emily Hinkler (The Good Doctor) as Cindy and Mindy and Anabel Graetz (Free Guy) as Ruth. The film will also feature surprise celebrity cameos as well as original Good Burger cast members who are reprising their roles: Josh Server as Fizz, Lori Beth Denberg as Connie Muldoon and Carmen Electra as Roxanne.

The original '90s sketch first aired on All That in 1994 and was centered around fast-food restaurant Good Burger and its clueless cashier Ed, played by Mitchell from Seasons 1-5. The feature film Good Burger was released worldwide on July 25, 1997, by Paramount Pictures. Later, in the All That revival series in 2019, Mitchell returned to guest star as Ed, who has been working at Good Burger for 20 years as manager of the trainees.

Reservation Dogs to End with Season 3; Good Burger 2 Announces More Cast Members

Sterlin Harjo, Taika Waititi and Garrett Basch announced that the upcoming third season of FX's Reservation Dogs will be the series' final season. The third and final season will premiere on August 2 exclusively on Hulu with the first two episodes. 10 episodes will be available. The first two seasons of Reservation Dogs are available to stream now on Hulu. This season, the Rez Dogs find themselves stranded in Cali and have to figure out their way back home. After making it back to Okern, Elora considers the idea of college, Bear comes across a conspiracy theorist named Maximus (Graham Greene), Willie Jack grows more invested in healing her community and Cheese, well, he still lives with his grandmother who's not his grandmother. Meanwhile, the aunties, uncles and elders explore their pasts and try to heal old wounds. We learn more about tribal cop Big (Zahn McClarnon); cannabis-loving Brownie (Gary Farmer); physics-obsessed Bucky (Wes Studi); the enigmatic Deer Lady (Kaniehtiio Horn); Bear's mom Rita (Sarah Podemski) and her cousin Teenie (Tamara Podemski); Willie Jack's dad Leon (Jon Proudstar); Daniel's mom Hokti (Lily Gladstone); medicine man Old Man Fixico (Richard Ray Whitman); junkyard prophet Kenny Boy (Kirk Fox); gum-smacking Bev (Jana Schmieding); and ride-less rap duo Mose (Lil Mike) and Mekko (FunnyBone). Season three is full of road trips, bathroom wisdom, unexpected fathers, boarding schools, Bigfoot, rumors, revenge and healing. Paramount+ and Nickelodeon Studios announced additional casting for Good Burger 2, an all-new original movie sequel to the iconic '90s feature film based on the sketch from the comedy series All That. The movie follows Dexter Reed (Kenan Thompson) and original cashier Ed (Kel Mitchell), as they reunite in the present day at fast-food restaurant Good Burger with a hilarious new group of employees. The film will premiere later this year exclusively on Paramount+.

The additional cast members announced are:

Jillian Bell (Murder Mystery 2, Brittany Runs a Marathon) as Katt Boswell, the CEO of MegaCorp.
Kamaia Fairburn (Blockbuster, Holly Hobbie) as Mia, a cool and confident teen who works at Good Burger to help her mother when she can.
Alex R. Hibbert (Moonlight, The Chi) as Ed2, a mini-me version of his dad, Ed, and Good Burger’s newest trainee.
Fabrizio Guido (Perry Mason, Mr. Iglesias) as Mr. Jensen, a 16-year-old employee who tries but often fails to keep his employees in line.
Elizabeth Hinkler (The Good Doctor, Tiny Beautiful Things) and Emily Hinkler (The Good Doctor, Boy Erased), as Cindy and Mindy, 16-year-old identical twins who are the cooks at the restaurant.
Anabel Graetz (Free Guy, The Mothership) as Ruth, the most senior employee at Good Burger among a bunch of teenagers.

The movie will also feature original Good Burger cast members reprising their roles: Josh Server as Fizz, Lori Beth Denberg as Connie Muldoon and Carmen Electra as Roxanne. Additional celebrity cameos will be announced at a later date.

All That Stars to Reunite for Good Burger 2; Jim Belushi Returns For Another Season of Growing Belushi

Nickelodeon Studios and Paramount+ announced the greenlight of Good Burger 2, an all-new original movie sequel to the iconic '90s feature film based on the sketch from the comedy series All That. The movie will follow Dexter Reed (Kenan Thompson) and original cashier, Ed (Kel Mitchell), as they reunite in the present day at fast-food restaurant Good Burger with a hilarious new group of employees. Production will begin in May, with a premiere slated for later this year exclusively on Paramount+. The news was revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

In Good Burger 2, Dexter Reed is down on his luck after another one of his inventions fails. Ed welcomes Dex back to Good Burger with open arms and gives him his old job back. With a new crew working at Good Burger, Dex devises a plan to get back on his feet but unfortunately puts the fate of Good Burger at risk once again. The original '90s sketch first aired on All That in 1994 and was centered around fast-food restaurant, Good Burger and its clueless cashier, Ed, played by Kel Mitchell in Seasons 1-5. The feature film Good Burger 2 was released worldwide on July 25, 1997, by Paramount Pictures. While the authorities work to identify a suspect, Jim and his team must race to find a place to dry and cure their next harvest of cannabis, greenhouses and outdoor fields filled with plants that must be processed in 10 days. With another $500,000 of cannabis on the line, the future of Belushi's Farm is at risk.

Are You Afraid of the Dark and All That Get More Episodes; Tyler Perry Gets Nick Sitcom

Nickelodeon has renewed some of its biggest franchises and hit series for the 2020-21 season. Among them include: Are You Afraid of the Dark (Season 2) - The beloved anthology series returns with more scary stories and a new Midnight Society group of kids who tell a chilling tale, only to witness the events of the terrifying story start to unfold around them. ACE Entertainment (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, The Perfect Date) returns to produce, with ACE founder Matt Kaplan and Spencer Berman serving as executive producers. And All That (Season 1, additional 10-episode pickup) - With a first season totaling 36 episodes, the reboot of the iconic '90s pop-culture sketch series showcases the comedic talents of eight kid comedians and features musical performances and guest appearances from today's biggest stars.

Kid rapper and pint-sized powerhouse Young Dylan will join the Nickelodeon family with the premiere of the brand-new live-action series, Tyler Perry's Young Dylan, on Saturday, Feb. 29, at 8:30 (ET/PT). Executive produced, directed and written by Perry, the series follows a family whose world is turned upside down when their nephew, Young Dylan (Dylan Gilmer), an aspiring hip-hop star, moves in unannounced. Michelle Sneed is also an executive producer, with Will Areu and Mark E. Swinton serving as producers.The series is currently in production at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Ga.

In Tyler Perry's Young Dylan, Dylan's grandmother Viola (Aloma Wright) realizes that raising her grandson is too much to take on, so she decides to send him to live indefinitely with her affluent son Myles Wilson (Carl Anthony Payne II), his wife Yasmine (Mieko Hillman) and their two kids Rebecca (Celina Smith) and Charlie (Hero Hunter). Suddenly, the Wilson family household needs to adapt as lifestyles clash between rising hip-hop star Young Dylan and his straight-laced cousins. From Dylan giving Charlie, Rebecca, and her best friend Bethany (Jet Miller), lessons in "swag" and street smarts, to learning that even rappers have rules in the Wilson house, the series follows the hilarious hijinks this family faces as they try to get on the same beat.

Nickelodeon's partnership with Perry is part of his long-term pact with ViacomCBS, producing original series for BET Networks (The Oval and Sistas) and other ViacomCBS networks, with exclusive licensing rights on this programming. Additionally, Perry recently announced his joint venture with BET Networks for the new streaming video on demand service BET+. Tyler Perry's Young Dylan marks Perry's first kids' scripted series.

Raven's Home Gets 4th Season on Disney; Nick Orders More All That Episodes

Disney Channel has ordered a fourth season of its popular family sitcom Raven's Home, starring and executive produced by multitalented Raven-Symoné. Alison Taylor (Just Jordan) will join the fourth season creative team as executive producer, alongside Raven-Symoné and executive producer and showrunner Warren Hutcherson (Reed Between the Lines, The Bernie Mac Show). Production on season four will commence later this year. Made for kids age 6-14 and their families, Raven's Home is a spinoff of the iconic Disney Channel comedy That's So Raven (2003-2007), which followed the whimsical, somewhat psychic teen Raven Baxter. Now, Raven is a divorced single mom of teen twins, Nia and Booker, and she's not the only one in the family who can catch glimpses of the future--her son Booker has inherited her gift. Just like his mom, Booker can see just enough of the future to try and change it. Hilarity ensues as Raven and Booker try to understand their unpredictable visions while navigating a hectic but loving household that also includes Raven's longtime best friend Chelsea and her son Levi, and Nia's best friend Tess.

The series also stars Issac Ryan Brown as Booker Baxter-Carter, Navia Robinson as Nia Baxter-Carter, Jason Maybaum as Levi Grayson, Sky Katz as Tess and Anneliese van der Pol as Chelsea Daniels.

Nickelodeon has picked up an additional 13 episodes of '90s icon All That, bringing its first season total to 26 episodes. Also announced, is new cast member Aria Brooks from Atlanta, Ga., who is joining the show's talented and diverse cast of comedians. New episodes of All That air on Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. All That is executive produced by Kenan Thompson (Saturday Night Live), Kel Mitchell (Game Shakers), Kevin Kay (All That, SpongeBob SquarePants, Lip Sync Battle, Lip Sync Battle Shorties, Yellowstone) and Jermaine Fowler (Superior Donuts, Sorry to Bother You). Kevin Kopelow & Heath Seifert (All That, Cousins For Life, Austin & Ally) also serve as executive producers.

Shot in front of a live studio audience, All That stars Ryan Alessi, Reece Caddell, Kate Godfrey, Gabrielle Nevaeh Green, Nathan Janak, Lex Lumpkin and Chinguun Sergelen, who have popularized new characters, impersonations of today's celebrities and new original comedic sketches including "Cancelled with Nathan," Bed, Bath & Beyoncé" and "Marie Kiddo." To date, recording artists the Jonas Brothers, Ciara, H.E.R., JoJo Siwa, Ella Mai, Ally Brooke, Kane Brown, Bryce Vine, Daddy Yankee and CNCO have performed on the show. Dancing with the Stars Cast for Season 28; Lilly Singh Gets NBC Primetime Special

With a lineup of celebrities including a supermodel, a former White House press secretary, a Bachelorette, pro-athletes from the NFL and NBA, a Supreme and a '90s TV icon to name a few, Dancing with the Stars is waltzing its way into its highly anticipated upcoming 2019 season. The new celebrity cast is adding some glitzy bling to their wardrobe, breaking in their dancing shoes and readying themselves for their first dance on the ballroom floor, as the show kicks off Monday, Sept. 16 from 8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT, on ABC. For the first time ever, viewers will have to tune in to the season premiere to find out with whom their favorite professional dancers are paired. This season also features the return of a loved pro, Peta Murgatroyd, and two new professional ballroom dancers. Episodes can also be viewed the next day on ABC.com, the ABC app and Hulu. NBC will air A Little Late with Lilly Singh: The Primetime Special on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 10 p.m., two days following the premiere of her new late-night show on Sept. 16. The telecast will immediately follow the two-hour season finale of America's Got Talent. The hourlong special will introduce primetime audiences to Singh as she partakes in sketches, interviews, games and interacts with the audience. Celebrity guests and a musical guest will be added at a later date. Singh is a multi-faceted entertainer, finding success as an actress, producer, writer and creator. Final Space Returns for Season 2 But on Adult Swim; Cast Set for All That Revival on Nickelodeon

The second season of the epic sci-fi adventure comedy with a plethora of heart, Final Space, will premiere on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT now on Adult Swim. In its first season as a TBS original series, Final Space found a huge audience of new fans during replays on Adult Swim, the #1 destination for young adults. On average, the weekly replays regularly won the timeslot. So, to shake things up, new episodes will now premiere on Adult Swim before encoring the following week on TBS. Buckle up your butt cheeks - it's about to get wild. Season two of Final Space finds Gary restarting with a new ship and a new AI voiced by Jane Lynch (Glee) as they recover what's left of his crew. Conan O'Brien reprises his role as Clarence, now a series regular, alongside Ron Funches (Undatable) and Ashly Burch (Attack on Titan) as they embark on an epic mission to free the Titan Bolo (Keith David). Along the way, Gary battles new villains led by Alan Tudyk (Firefly), Christopher Judge (Stargate SG-1) and Gary's Mom, Claudia Black (Farscape).

Nickelodeon unveiled the brand-new cast of '90s icon, All That, featuring a talented and diverse group of comedians who reflect the spirit and humor of today's generation of kids. Ranging in age from 12-15, each kid brings their own unique comedic skill to the show, from impressions of today's biggest celebrities, to original characters inspired by their lives, to physical comedy sketches. Executive produced by original cast members Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, All That premieres on Saturday, June 15, at 8:30pm (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

The new cast members of Nickelodeon's All That are:

· Ryan Alessi - Born and raised in Chicago, Ryan Alessi, 14, began studying improv comedy at age eight with The Second City Improvisational Comedy Troupe. After moving to Los Angeles, he started studying with The Groundlings and developing his own characters and performing various impressions and accents.
· Reece Caddell - A Denver native, Reece Caddell, 12, started acting at the age of five and began performing sketch comedy when she started a YouTube channel with her two older sisters.
· Kate Godfrey - Kate Godfrey, 15, is an actress, singer and dancer from Scottsdale, Ariz. She began her career in her local community theater at the age of nine and was quickly accepted to the Broadway Youth Ensemble where she performed in New York City.
· Gabrielle Green - Gabrielle Green, 14, moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career after studying theatre at BAK Middle School of Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, Fla. Her credits include acting, voiceover work and working as a brand representative.
· Nathan Janak - Originally from Sugar Land, Texas, Nathan Janak, 14, began acting at six years old. In 2016, he participated in a nine-month intensive actor training program and later moved to Los Angeles. Janak has previously been seen as a guest star in Nickelodeon's Henry Danger.
· Lex Lumpkin - Lex Lumpkin, 13, is an actor, singer, writer, impressionist and pianist from Indianapolis. His acting career began two years ago when he played the role of "Stuart" in the Indianapolis Repertory Theater's production of Stuart Little.
· Chinguun Sergelen - Raised in Chicago, Chinguun Sergelen, 13, began acting at age nine. He is a Youth Ensemble member at The Second City Training Center Chicago and Laugh Out Loud Theater.

In the series premiere, the new cast will be joined by original All That cast members Kel Mitchell, Lori Beth Denberg and Josh Server. Beloved roles are reprised in some of the series' most memorable sketches including Mitchell as fast-food slacker "Ed," and Denberg as "Ms. Hushbaum," the hypocritical "Loud Librarian." The episode will also feature a performance by Grammy(R)-nominated multiplatinum powerhouse trio Jonas Brothers of their smash hit "Sucker." Shot in front of a live studio audience, this season of All That will also feature musical performances from today's hottest artists, including Daddy Yankee, Ally Brooke and Kane Brown, with surprise guests from the worlds of TV, film, comedy and more.

TV Land Moves Retired at 35 to Wednesdays; Remembering William Asher, Director of Classic TV Series Like I Love Lucy and Bewitched

TV Land premiered the second season of sophomore sitcom Retired at 35 three weeks ago (June 26), but on Tuesday nights instead of the normal Wednesday original night. As a result, the sitcom has not done well in the ratings for its first three episodes of the season. In its defense, the series has been airing on an island surrounded by repeats. It makes it look like a burn-off, as the series was also delayed a few times in premiering its second season. TV Land will give it a better chance starting this week. It will not air tonight (Tuesday at 10), but instead will move to Wednesdays following new episodes of The Soul Man and The Exes. Now because of that move, Retired at 35 is no longer in primetime, since it will be airing Wednesdays at 11pm.
The new season brought a new cast member as Marissa Jaret Winokur joined the show. In Retired at 35, after 37 years of marriage, Alan Robbins (George Segal) and his wife Elaine (Jessica Walter, Arrested Development) are expected to cruise into retirement and live out their days happily ever after. However, they get an unexpected surprise when their uptight and overworked son David (Johnathan McClain), sick of the NYC rat race, decides to move in with them in their active-adult community. David finds himself dealing with his overzealous parents as well as his sister Amy (Marissa Jaret Winokur), who, while successful in business, has made less than impressive choices in her love life. Among the guest stars this season include Robin Givens (Head of the Class), John Ross Bowie (The Big Bang Theory), Melissa Peterman (Baby Daddy) and Daneel Ackles.
After these three very low rated airings (all at a series low 0.1 adults 18-49 rating), perhaps a third season is not in the cards unless it does pretty well on Wednesdays at 11. That might be a tough task as The Soul Man and The Exes slipped in week two: The Soul Man from a 0.6 to a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating and The Exes from a 0.4 to a 0.2 adults 18-49 rating. However, there was a week off in between for the 4th of July, but TV Land should have premiered both sitcoms a week or two earlier when they had repeats on June 13 and June 20.

In related news, Nick at Nite has pulled the airings of All That and Kenan & Kel after only three weeks. They both started airing Mon-Thurs in the 8pm hour on June 25, but Nickelodeon has now replaced them with back-to-back episodes of the original series VICTORiOUS as of last night. There will be no other schedule changes on Nick at Nite, which means VICTORiOUS is being brought in to help out struggling Nick at Nite original drama Hollywood Heights, which has only mustered a 0.1 adults 18-49 rating in recent airings in its 9pm time period. The series was ordered for 80 episodes, and they are about only a little over 25% done with that.

We now have some sad news. Todd will report on the passing of TV director and producer William Asher.

Legendary director and producer William Asher, best known for his work on I Love Lucy and Bewitched, has died. Asher died July 16 at a board and care facility in Palm Desert, California, of complications from Alzheimer's disease. Mr. Asher was 90.

Asher's career in television began as a writer and director for a filmed anthology series called Invitation Playhouse. He later started working for CBS Studios. His first directed TV pilot became Our Miss Brooks, which starred Eve Arden and aired on CBS from 1952-1956. In 1952, he was asked by Desi Arnaz to direct a few episodes of the second season of I Love Lucy. Asher went on to direct over 100 episodes of the series, including the classic Job Switching episode where Lucy and Ethel work at a candy factory. In 1955, he was nominated for the DGA award for the Lucy's Mother-in-Law episode. His other early directing credits included Racquet Squad, Big Town, The Danny Thomas Show, General Electic Theater, The Colgate Comedy Hour, December Bride, Sally, The Thin Man, Fibber McGee and Molly, The Twilight Zone, and The Patty Duke Show, which he co-created with writer Sidney Sheldon.

His best known work was as a producer and director of Bewitched. Asher produced the 1964-1972 ABC sitcom, starring his then-wife, Elizabeth Montgomery. He directed over 130 episodes of the series. Asher received four Emmy nominations for his work on the show, winning once in 1966 for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Comedy. Some of his other sitcom directing credits included Gidget, The Paul Lynde Show, The New Temperatures Rising, Operation Petticoat, Tabitha, Alice, The Bad News Bears, Private Benjamin, and Harper Valley. He also directed a couple of TV reunion movies - I Dream of Jeannie... Fifteen Years Later in 1985 and Return to Green Acres in 1990. His film credits as a director and writer included three popular beach-blanket movies starring Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello - Muscle Beach Party, Bikini Beach, and Beach Blanket Bingo.

The Archive of American Television conducted an extensive interview with him on March 31 and April 26, 2000. His survivors include his wife, Meredith, daughters Liane Sears and Rebecca Asher, sons Brian, Bill Jr., Robert and John, four step-children, nine grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren. Asher was married to actress Elizabeth Montgomery from 1963-1973. They had three children. He was married to actress Joyce Bulifant from 1976-1993. Mr. Asher was a true pioneer in the industry. He's considered the man who invented the sitcom. He was one of the most proflific directors in the early days of television. We thank him for bringing us sitcom classics like I Love Lucy and Bewitched. He will be deeply missed.

Antenna TV's 4th of July Gidget Marathon; Nick at Nite Adds All That, Kenan & Kel, Drops Brady Bunch

Celebrate the 4th of July with Gidget as she celebrates Independence Day with life, liberty and the pursuit of boys. Antenna TV, which airs on 65 affiliates across the U.S. reaching 60% of TV households, will air a "Gidget Independence Day" marathon beginning at 7am ET on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 and running through 7am ET on Thursday, July 5. The 24-hour marathon will feature all 32 episodes from the 1965-66 series starring Sally Field from 11am-3am ET, as well as feature films, Gidget Goes Hawaiian (1961) at 7am & 3am ET and Gidget Goes to Rome (1963) at 9am & 5am ET. The films do not star Sally Field, as the Hawaiian one stars Deborah Walley and the Rome one stars Cindy Carol. Both films were sequels to the original 1959 film starring Sandra Dee. All three films were before the TV series. After the TV series ended, there were two ABC TV movies - Gidget Grows Up (1969) and Gidget Gets Married (1972) - and a new syndicated series - The New Gidget (1985), which was spun-off of the TV movie Gidget's Summer Reunion (1985) - but Antenna TV will not be airing any of those.
The 1965-66 series only lasted one season on ABC but it has still popped-up in syndication, often paired with Sally Field's other comedy, The Flying Nun. In fact Antenna TV airs both series every Saturday afternoons from 1-3pm ET.

In a last minute schedule change, Nick at Nite has added All That and Kenan & Kel to its line-up beginning tonight. The two classic '90s Nickelodeon comedies will air in the 8pm hour to try and give a better lead-in to Nick at Nite's new original telenovela Hollywood Heights, which airs weeknights at 9pm. The original series has struggled in the ratings thus far and Nick at Nite is trying to give it a more compatible lead-in than Friends, which was airing in the 8pm hour. Friends was airing 8-9pm and 11pm-12am, but now it will air in a two-hour block from 11pm-1am. This means George Lopez is out of the midnight hour and only air approx. 4am & 4:30am. Yes, Dear remains in the 10pm hour out of Hollywood Heights. Also of note, Nick at Nite will remove the '70s classic sitcom The Brady Bunch effective tonight after a month of airing and replace it with The Nanny, which returns to weeknights on Nick at Nite during the 5am hour.
Stay tuned for further updates, as I just don't see George Lopez being out of primetime for long.
