Fox's Baywatch Premieres January 6; aspireTV's First Sitcom Premieres January 7
Same beach...new era. Fox's all-new Baywatch finds wild-child legacy character HOBIE BUCHANNON (Stephen Amell) serving as a Baywatch Captain, following in the footsteps of his legendary father, Mitch, leading a new generation of lifeguards to the Southern California coast, where high-stakes rescues collide with attraction, friendship, family and responsibility.
Hobie's world is turned upside down when his daughter CHARLIE VALE (Jessica Belkin) shows up on his doorstep eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy. The series also stars as members of this new Baywatch team, Hassie Harrison as NAT, Shay Mitchell as TRINA, Thaddeus LaGrone as BRAD, Noah Beck as LUKE, and Brooks Nader as SELENE. In recurring roles, Livvy Dunne will make her acting debut as GRACE and David Chokachi will reprise his original series character of CODY MADISON.
Fox's Baywatch will celebrate the franchise's enduring legacy, while re-energizing it for today's global audience. Fans can expect all the adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry and beachside heroics that defined the original - now with a new cast, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges, and a renewed mission to save lives along Los Angeles' beaches. Baywatch will have its series premiere Wednesday, January 6 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on Fox.
New friends. New challenges. New State of Mind. Get your first look at New State of Mind (previously titled Savannah State of Mind), a new multi-camera comedy from legendary creator Bentley Kyle Evans (The Jamie Foxx Show, Martin) and aspireTV's first scripted original series! Welcome to Oakley University, where unforgettable students, new experiences, and plenty of laughs are just around the corner. 📺 Coming to aspireTV on January 7, 2027.
Get ready for a whole new state of mind! The core student cast includes Charles Grant DeBose, Kiarra Raine, Kylee Evans, Quan, Destiny Ashlynne, Bentley Evans Jr., and Nathaniel Sudenga, playing a mix of character archetypes introduced in promotional teasers: Taylor the Scholar, Malik the MVP and football player, Marcus the Artist, Darius and JJ, and a group of students bringing their own distinct campus personalities to the ensemble.
The faculty roster includes Dorien Wilson, Chico Benymon, Missy Lee, and Vincent M. Ward. That pairing of newer actors in the lead student roles with veteran sitcom performers in the faculty roles reflects a deliberate structural choice: giving emerging talent the spotlight while leaning on familiar faces to anchor the show’s tone and credibility for longtime fans of the genre. The video preview has been released.
