Three's Company 50th Anniversary NYC Event Recap; Disney+ Reveals Details for A Proud Family Wizmas

On Monday night, we attended a special Three's Company Reading in honor of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the beloved sitcom. The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health presented an "Evening From the Heart," a special live NYC stage reading at Joe's Pub (fitting for the Regal Beagle!). The live reading celebrated the show's late star John Ritter while raising funds to support the Foundation's aortic health mission.

Three's Company Reading

Original cast member Joyce DeWitt co-hosted alongside Ritter's widow and actress, Amy Yasbeck. Richard Kline, who originated the role of Larry Dallas, performed as the evening's narrator, alongside Jason Biggs, who stepped into Ritter's iconic role of Jack Tripper, with Christine Taylor as Chrissy Snow, Bellamy Young as Janet Wood, Richard Kind as Stanley Roper, and Susie Essman as Helen Roper. The reading was for the very first episode "A Man About the House." Amy Yasbeck played the guest role of Patricia Crawford. One of Ritter's sons, Tyler Ritter talked about the Foundation and how its work to advance aortic health carries forward Ritter's legacy.

The event was well done with the live reading a big hit with the crowd and after 50 years the first episode is still very funny. We talked to Joyce DeWitt, Richard Kline and Tyler Ritter on the red carpet about Three's Company and also the John Ritter Foundation. We will post the videos on our YouTube channel, so stay tuned.

Also in attendance in the audience was Jordan Charney who played Mr. Angelino on the show. Special guests who also attended included Ben Stiller, Ella Stiller, Kathy Najimy, Dan Finnerty, Krista Braun and Isabella Coben. Finnerty sang the theme song before the reading began. The NYC event kicked off a multi-city "Three's Company: Come And Knock On Our Door" 50th anniversary tour and will expand to Dallas, Cleveland and Los Angeles in 2027.
