Conan O'Brien Must Go Season 3; Disney's Hidden Heroes: A Descendants Story

Season three of the Emmy®-winning HBO Original series Conan O'Brien Must Go debuts Friday, August 21 at 9:00 p.m. ET on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. New episodes of the four-episode season will debut weekly on Fridays at the same time, concluding with the season finale on Friday, September 11.

Hidden Heroes: A Descendants Story, a new, music-and-dance-fueled movie expanding the Descendants universe, has been greenlit for Disney Channel and Disney+. The brand-new Descendants story centers on the journey of the unsung heroes behind Disney's greatest adventures - the sidekicks! The film goes into production next week.

Hidden in the center of each fairy tale is a portal to a secret training facility where the descendants of legendary sidekicks are challenged to join the elite ranks of partners to heroes. When a villainous duo comes to Sidekick Academy, a group of fresh recruits must band together - without heroes, without parents - using only their new skills to save the fairytale realm before it's too late.

The lead cast includes the following:
· Dior Goodjohn (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Poser) as Jennie, the daughter of Genie from Aladdin
· Momona Tamada (The Baby-Sitters Club) as Zara, the daughter of Yzma from The Emperor's New Groove
· Jacob Rodriguez (Tell Me Lies) as Kronk Jr., the son of Kronk from The Emperor's New Groove
· Eva Fossaceca Smedley (Welcome to Flatch) as Meri, the daughter of Merryweather from Sleeping Beauty
· Harry Jones (Bury Your Nephew) as Lou, the son of Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast

Also joining the cast are Rhys Dawkins, Connor Wong and Kyra Wong as the Potts Siblings (from Beauty and the Beast).

Disney's Big City Greens Brings Out the Guest Stars; The New SuperKitty Premieres Today

The star-studded guest cast for Big City Greens Season 5 was announced, including Stephen King, Luke Combs, Dylan Sprouse, Megan Stalter, Chad Michael Murray, Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes. Additional guest cast joining the new season include Cobie Smulders and Clark Gregg (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.); Matt Gourley, Sona Movsesian and Aaron Bleyaert (Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend); Martha Kelly (Euphoria); Steve Schirripa (The Sopranos); and Mike Colter (Marvel's Luke Cage).

The official Season 5 trailer and key art were also revealed. The new season kicks off with the first five episodes premiering Aug. 21 on Disney Channel (8:00 p.m. EDT/PDT) and next day on Disney+. Additional episodes will roll out throughout the remainder of the year and 2027. This new season will feature a Halloween-themed episode starring Stephen King and a winter-themed episode starring Megan Stalter.

The series stars Chris Houghton as Cricket Green, Marieve Herington as Tilly Green, Bob Joles as Bill Green, Artemis Pebdani as Gramma Alice, Wendi McLendon-Covey as Nancy Green, Zeno Robinson as Remy, and Anna Akana as Gloria. Recurring guest stars for Season 5 include Danny Trejo (Vasquez), Alfred Molina (Cogburn), Jameela Jamil (Phoenix), Colin Hanks (Mark), and Dan Stevens (Saxon).

A full-length special, The New SuperKitty, premiered today on Disney Jr. and Disney Jr. On Demand, revealing that Willa the Wildcat is officially joining the crew as the newest member of the cat-tastic superhero team featured in Disney Jr.’s hit series SuperKitties. The special will be available to stream on Disney+ starting today, Friday, Aug. 7.

In the special, the SuperKitties invite Willa to officially join them on the team after putting her skills to the test when Cat Burglar (voiced by Justin Guarini) and the Glamsters (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin and Utkarsh Ambudkar) team up to take over Kittydale.

Trailer for Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Finale Event; HGTV's Totally '90s House with '90s TV Stars

The official trailer for the Wizards Beyond Waverly Place 4-part finale event was revealed today, including a first look at the return of fan-favorite characters Harper Finkle (Jennifer Stone) and Mason Greyback (Gregg Sulkin). A marathon of the 4-part finale event kicks off Tuesday, Aug. 4, on Disney Channel (8:00 p.m. EDT/PDT) and Disney Channel On Demand. All episodes will be available on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets on Wednesday, Aug. 5.

Billie, still reeling from losing Alex at the end of Season 2, discovers that the only way to rescue her mother is to reunite with her long-lost father. As her family bands together to find Alex, Billie realizes that their combined power is the only way the Russos can defeat the evil plaguing them.

As previously announced, executive producer Selena Gomez will make her directorial debut with the premiere episode. She will also reprise her role as Alex Russo in multiple episodes. Popular nineties television idols with a passion for design and renovation will go step by step back into the iconic decade as they search for America's homes frozen in time in the new HGTV series Totally '90s House, premiering Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. A true blast from the past, the six-episode renovation competition, hosted by actor, producer and game show host Jaleel White (Family Matters), will follow two celeb teams as they scour the country for houses stuck in the 1990s - think honey oak cabinets, sponge-painted walls and mirrored closets - with each team ultimately picking their perfect throwback in need of a major overhaul.

78th Primetime Emmy Award Nominations; Disney's The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen

Nominations for the 78th Emmy Awards were announced today from the Wolf Theatre in the Saban Media Center. The live ceremony was hosted by Emmy winner Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear) and Emmy winner Jeff Hiller (Somebody Somewhere) along with Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego.

Hacks has set the record for most nominations in a single year in the Comedy category with 24 (previous record jointly held in 2025 by The Studio and in 2024 by The Bear each with 23 nominations) and The Pitt led this year's Drama category with 25 nominations (down from last year's leader Severance, which had 27).

The 78th Emmy Awards, hosted by Emmy Award winner Mariska Hargitay, will air Monday, September 14 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE., airing live coast-to-coast on NBC and streaming on Peacock. The Creative Arts Emmy Awards will take place on Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, 2026.

The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen has been greenlit for Disney Channel and Disney+, from executive producers Debra Martin Chase and Raven-Symoné, who returns to her role as Galleria alongside Adrienne Bailon returning as Chanel. Lynn Whitfield and Lori Alter are set to reprise their roles as Dorothea and Juanita, while Sabrina Bryan will make a special appearance as Dorinda, and Sophia Bush is set to appear in a supporting role as Jennifré. The music-driven film goes into production in South Africa this month.

A new cast of talented young actresses stars in the movie, including Leah Sava' Jeffries (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) as Galleria's daughter Faith, Carmen Sanchez (Electric Bloom) as Chanel's sister Dior, Kaileen Chang as Ruby, and Sophie Lennon as Brooklyn. Newcomer Kamogelo Ramashala, a local South African actor discovered during Disney's global open casting call, is set as Kendi.

The story picks up when Cheetah Girls Galleria (Symoné) and Chanel (Bailon), alongside Galleria's daughter Faith (Jeffries) and her three friends, travel to Africa to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary. Along the way, these four teen girls test their friendship, find their voice, and discover the true Cheetah spirit as they save the preserve and ultimately take the stage as the new Cheetah Girls.

Mark Harmon Returns as Gibbs in NCIS: Origins; Disney's Camp Rock 3 Details

Mark Harmon, who starred as Leroy Jethro Gibbs for 18 seasons on NCIS, returns for the next chapter in the iconic character's story this fall. Harmon will appear in all episodes of NCIS: Origins this season as part of a present-day mystery tied to his '90s Camp Pendleton days in an action-packed story that unfolds all season long.

Harmon, who serves as executive producer on the series, also narrates each episode. He previously appeared onscreen as Gibbs in the NCIS: Origins 2024 series premiere and made a special guest appearance during the first crossover event between NCIS and NCIS: Origins in November 2025.

NCIS: Origins follows a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) in the early '90s, years prior to the events of NCIS, and is narrated by Harmon. Also starring Kyle Schmid, Mariel Molino, Tyla Abercrumbie, Diany Rodriguez and Caleb Foote.

Disney revealed the brand-new teaser for Camp Rock 3, showcasing the next generation of rockers taking center stage and a first look at the performance of the new single "One Beat Away." Camp Rock 3 premieres August 13 on Disney Channel and next day on Disney+.

Netflix Adds to the Cast of A Hundred Percent; Disney Channel's Descendants: Wicked Wonderland Trailer

Netflix has begun production in Los Angeles on its new comedy series A Hundred Percent, adding Tiffany Boone, Lisa Gilroy and Diane Lane to the cast alongside previously announced stars Nick Kroll, Sam Richardson, Jason Mantzoukas and Vanessa Bayer.

A Hundred Percent is a half-hour comedy about a group of friends who are stars in the world of wellness and self-optimization. Their books, podcasts, and morning routines might help us live our lives more perfectly, but away from the screens and mics, they are most definitely far from perfect.

The official trailer for Descendants: Wicked Wonderland debuted on Good Morning America, alongside a look at the film’s poster and a special recording of "Mad-Wicked Wonderland." Onyx Collective announced that the second season of Hulu's acclaimed comedy series Deli Boys, produced by 20th Television, will premiere May 28 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S. and on Disney+ internationally.

FETV Acquires The Carol Burnett Show Uncut; Hey A.J.! Coming to Disney Jr.

FETV (Family Entertainment Television), home to beloved and timeless television series and movies carried across cable, satellite, and virtual platforms, announced that The Carol Burnett Show will debut on the network with a "Ring in the Laughs" New Year's Day marathon. The show will then join the regular schedule on Saturday, January 3, 2026, airing nightly at 12:50am ET. As with all series on FETV, The Carol Burnett Show will air in its original, uncut format.

Get ready for Mary Tyler Moore-nings on UPtv! Start your day with this witty sitcom featuring the loveable cast of The Mary Tyler Moore Show starting Monday, September 22, 2025 at 10am ET. The classic '70s sitcom will air weekdays from 10am-12pm.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show centers on Mary Richards (Mary Tyler Moore), a 30-year-old single woman who moves to Minneapolis to start a new life after a romantic break-up. Disney's SuperKitties Adds to Voice Cast; Netflix Renews The Hunting Wives for Season 2

Utkarsh Ambudkar (Ghosts) and Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon a Time, Zootopia 2) have joined the Season 3 voice cast for Disney Jr.'s hit series SuperKitties, voicing villains Champster and Pamster Glamster (aka The Glamsters), a glamorous and hilariously clueless brother and sister hamster duo who cause chaos for the SuperKitties.

The new season, which introduces a "Su-Purr Wild" story arc that finds the SuperKitties traveling into the Kittydale Wild Jungle to adventure with their wildcat friend Willa and new jungle critters, premieres Monday, September 22, on Disney Jr. (7:30 a.m. PDT), Disney Channel (8:00 a.m. PDT) and Disney Jr. On Demand, with the first six episodes available to stream Wednesday, October 1, on Disney+. Netflix announced the Season 2 renewal of the hit series The Hunting Wives from Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment. Season 2 will release exclusively as a Netflix-branded series in nearly all countries where Netflix is available, with the original cast set to reprise their roles in Season 2. HBO Comedy The Chair Company; Trailer for Disney's Vampirina: Teenage Vampire

The HBO Original comedy series The Chair Company, created by Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin, will debut Sunday, October 12 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. New episodes of the eight-episode season will debut weekly leading up to the season finale on Sunday, November 30.

After an embarrassing incident at work, a man (Robinson) finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy. In addition to Tim Robinson as William Ronald Trosper, series regulars include Lake Bell as Barb Trosper, Sophia Lillis as Natalie Trosper, Will Price as Seth Trosper, and Joseph Tudisco as Mike Santini. Lou Diamond Phillips recurs as Jeff Levjman.

Disney Branded Television revealed the official trailer and poster for the upcoming original series Vampirina: Teenage Vampire. The music-driven series premieres on Disney Channel September 12, with all episodes streaming October 15 on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand.

Vampirina: Teenage Vampire tells the story of a tween vampire girl who leaves the safety of Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school. Living amongst humans for the first time, she pursues her passion for music while keeping her vampire identity a secret, something that’s made more challenging when her overprotective father charges an overzealous ghost to live with her at the school. Vampirina, or “Vee,” is an already beloved character from the popular book saga and the record-breaking Disney Jr. series. Vampirina: Teenage Vampire is the first live-action portrayal.

Paramount+ announced that the new original comedy series Crutch, starring Tracy Morgan, will premiere on Monday, November 3. Produced by CBS Studios, all eight episodes of the series will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ at launch.

Set in the world of the CBS Original Comedy The Neighborhood, Crutch centers on its titular character Francois "Frank" Crutchfield (Morgan), who goes by "Crutch," a brash, yet beloved Harlem shop owner whose world is turned upside down when his highbrow son and free-spirited daughter move back into the family home.

Crutch also stars Jermaine Fowler (Superior Donuts), Tony Award winner Kecia Lewis (Hell's Kitchen), Adrianna Mitchell (Snowfall), Adrian Martinez (The Amateur), Braxton Paul (Sesame Street) and Finn Maloney (Suncoast).

In a special event within The Neighborhood universe, Morgan will also guest star as "Crutch" in an all-new episode of the hit CBS comedy The Neighborhood, airing the same night, Monday, November 3 (8:00 - 8:30 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs).

"Welcome to Family Value" - Calvin (Cedric The Entertainer) reaches out to his cousin Crutch (Tracy Morgan) to get Malcolm (Sheaun McKinney) a sweet deal on a new floor. However, Crutch insists on coming to L.A. to oversee the work himself, where he drives Tina (Tichina Arnold) crazy — and reveals an emotional vulnerability.

Peacock has released the trailer, key art and images for the The Office spin-off series. The Paper premieres on Peacock with four episodes on September 4, followed by two new episodes every Thursday through September 25. The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch in the Emmy Award-winning series The Office find a new subject when they discover a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it.

Comedian Ms. Pat Gets Season 3 of Courtroom Series; Disney Branded Television Animated Slate

BET Media Group proudly announces season three of the hit courtroom series Ms. Pat Settles It. Ms. Pat will be back on the bench, calling on a jury of her friends, celebrity guests, and fellow comedians to help settle real-life cases where everything from family ties and friendships to messy breakups and rocky romances hang in the balance.

This season, expect to see some familiar faces in the courtroom, as a few of the cases include popular influencers bringing their drama - and their followers - with them. Production begins this month. As previously announced, BET Media Group extended its multi-year overall deal with Patricia "Ms. Pat" Williams under which she will produce and perform in new series and other projects across BET.

Disney Branded Television announced a slate of new and returning animated kids' content for Disney+, Disney Jr., and Disney Channel - including the new Disney Jr. series Sam Witch, created by Mia Resella and produced by Brown Bag Films, new holiday special Dasher from Trustbridge Entertainment and 9 Story Media Group, an enhanced acquisition with Disney Branded Television, that will stream on Disney+ and air on Disney Jr. during the 2026 holiday season, and the acquisition of Miraculous Stellar Force from Miraculous Corp, the first original spin-off for the franchise. Also announced were the renewal of top streaming preschool series Marvel's Spidey and his Amazing Friends (season six), SuperKitties (season four), Disney Jr. Ariel - The Little Mermaid (season two), and RoboGobo (season two).

Disney Branded Television's original shorts slate will include a fourth season of the kids series Chibiverse, as well as preschool-focused shorts and music videos Disney Jr. Ariel - The Little Mermaid: Songs from the Crystal Cavern, Playdate with Winnie the Pooh season three, and new series Me & Mickey: In the Clubhouse+, an extension of the popular Me & Mickey Disney Jr. vlog series. Two new holiday sing-along stop-motion shorts, Mickey & Minnie's Holiday Songs: Halloween and Mickey & Minnie's Holiday Songs: Christmas, round out the lineup.

Disney's Electric Bloom Gets Premiere Date; Conan to Guest on NBC's Late Night

Disney Branded Television revealed a first look at the upcoming comedy series Electric Bloom (former working title How We Became the Biggest Band in the World) with the official teaser trailer and poster. The first two episodes of the music-driven original series will premiere on Disney Channel on Thursday, July 10, at 8:35 p.m. EDT/PDT, following the world premiere of the Disney Channel Original Movie ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires, with new episodes weekly. The show will debut on Disney+ on September 17, with the first 13 episodes of the season and the remaining coming to the service in October.

Electric Bloom follows the three members of the now mega-famous pop group Electric Bloom as they look back and tell the story of their band and friendship, starting with the day they all met in high school. The girls go on a journey to becoming the biggest band in the world and the best friends in the universe. The series stars Lumi Pollack (The Fallout) as perfectly put-together Posey, Carmen Sanchez as school rebel Jade, Ruby Marino as quirky and optimistic Tulip, and Nathaniel Buescher (Circuit Breakers) as class crush and band supporter Lucas.

Emmy Award winner Conan O'Brien will make his first appearance as a guest on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers, on Wednesday, June 11. O'Brien hosted the critically acclaimed Late Night franchise for more than 16 years, between 1993 and 2009. Former Late Night hosts David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon have previously joined Meyers for sit-down interviews in Studio 8G. O'Brien was recently honored with the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. His travel series, Conan O'Brien Must Go is currently streaming on Max.

Late Night with Seth Meyers has received two Critics Choice Awards, eight Writers Guild of America Award nominations and 11 Emmy nominations for the show, its specials and digital series, "Corrections." Late Night with Seth Meyers airs weeknights at 12:35 a.m. ET/PT on NBC and streams next day on Peacock.

ABC 2025-26 Season Renewals for Scripted Series; New Season of Phineas and Ferb Returns June 5

ABC has renewed most of its hit scripted line-up. 9-1-1 for Season 9 (and the third on ABC), Grey's Anatomy for Season 22, The Rookie for Season 8, Shifting Gears for Season 2 and Will Trent for Season 4 all for the 2025-26 Season. These join the previosuly picked up High Potential for Season 2 and Abbott Elementary for Season 5. ABC has also picked up new drama 9-1-1: Nashville, while The Conners is ending. Still no word on a second season for Doctor Odyssey. Stay tuned, as ABC will still announce its unscripted pick-ups (Shark Tank, AFV, The Bachelor, Dancing with the Stars, and more are all expected to return).

Disney Branded Television is rolling out the teal carpet for the highly anticipated return of the five-time Emmy® Award-winning and BAFTA-nominated Phineas and Ferb. The new season will premiere on Thursday, June 5, at 8 p.m. PDT/EDT on Disney Channel and Disney XD with two episodes, and the first episode will be available the same day on Disney Channel YouTube. The first 10 episodes of the season will premiere on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets on Friday, June 6, with additional markets to follow later this year. Disney Branded Television announced that Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, the continuation of the Emmy® Award-winning Wizards of Waverly Place, has been renewed for a second season. Premiering on Disney Channel, Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand, the new season begins production next month in Los Angeles. Wizards Beyond Waverly Place follows an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family, Giada, Roman and Milo. When Justin’s sister Alex brings Billie to his home seeking help, Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.

Prime Video turned up the heat by revealing the first look images for the third and final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty. The Amazon Original series will return to Cousins Beach this July with an 11-episode season and will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.

Season three of The Summer I Turned Pretty is led by showrunners Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka. Han, Kucserka, and Karen Rosenfelt serve as executive producers, along with Paul Lee, Hope Hartman, and Mads Hansen for wiip. The series is a co-production of Amazon Studios and wiip. The series is a multigenerational drama that hinges on a love triangle between one girl and two brothers, the ever-evolving relationship between mothers and their children, and the enduring power of strong female friendship. It is a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer.

Apple TV+ Renews Shrinking for Season 3; Guest Voices for Phineas and Ferb New Season

On the heels of the second season premiere of Shrinking, Apple TV+ announced that the critically acclaimed, Emmy Award-nominated comedy has landed a renewal for season three. Co-created by Jason Segel, Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, the first two episodes of Shrinking season two are now streaming globally on Apple TV+, and new episodes premiere every Wednesday. The news was announced at New York Comic Con where creators Segel and Goldstein, along with stars Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley, took the Main Stage for a special discussion around the new season.

Starring Jason Segel and Harrison Ford in one of this first television roles, Shrinking follows grieving therapist Jimmy (played by Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people's lives ... including his own. In addition to Segel and Ford, Shrinking stars Emmy Award nominee Christa Miller, Emmy Award nominee Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley. Also at New York Comic Con, Disney Branded Television officially revealed the voice cast for the highly anticipated new season of Phineas and Ferb. For the first time in over a decade, co-creators and executive producers Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh will reunite with the rest of the beloved cast at their NYCC panel, which also includes exclusive sneak peeks of the new season. Phineas and Ferb is scheduled to debut next year on Disney Channel and Disney+.

Known for its history of celebrity cameos from fans of the show, Phineas and Ferb's next season will feature new guest appearances from notable actors, musicians, athletes and more. NBC to Air Mr. Throwback Premiere; Ariel Winter Returns for New Sofia the First Series

NBC will air the first episode of the Peacock original comedy series Mr. Throwback on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Mr. Throwback premiered Aug. 8 on Peacock and stands as a top 5 Peacock original comedy series through their respective opening weekends. The first weekend of the series arrived on Peacock as star Stephen Curry helped deliver a gold medal for the USA Basketball team in its championship game over France. 77% of the accounts who watched Mr. Throwback also watched basketball at the Olympics. Disney Jr. announced a series greenlight for Sofia the First: Royal Magic, a continuation of the Emmy® and Humanitas Award-winning Sofia the First, which premiered in 2012 with the animated television movie Sofia the First: Once Upon A Princess, and remains one of the most successful global preschool franchises for The Walt Disney Company. The Sofia the First series still holds the record for the Top 3 cable TV telecasts for Girls 2-5 and, lifetime to date, has garnered over 755 million views on Disney Junior YouTube. From Disney Branded Television, the new series is currently in production and is slated for a 2026 premiere on Disney Jr. and Disney+.

Aimed at preschoolers and their families, the sequel is created and executive produced by Emmy Award winner Craig Gerber. Ariel Winter (Modern Family), who voiced the role of Sofia, Disney's first little girl princess, in the original series, is set to reprise her role. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
