In Adults 18-49, Dancing with the Stars scored a 1.36 rating, earning its second-highest performance of the season (basically tied vs. 1.38 rating on 10/21). On a competitive night with the World Series, Dancing with the Stars stood as the No. 1 non-sports program of the night on broadcast and cable among both Total Viewers (6.74 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.36 rating). The show also towered over last year's "Halloween Night" by double digits in Total Viewers (+41% - 6.74 million vs. 4.77 million) while nearly doubling in Adults 18-49 (+97% - 1.36 rating vs. 0.69 rating). Dancing with the Stars

Dancing with the Stars is still making television history for the fifth straight week. It has continued its upward climb, bedazzling viewers with last week's "Wicked Night," and scoring 6.63 million Total Viewers and a 1.38 rating among Adults 18-49, hitting new season highs in both demographics.

Amidst a season full of highlights, Dancing with the Stars has made history, growing for the fifth straight week following premiere over last week's "Dedication Night" in Total Viewers (+11% - 6.63 million vs. 5.98 million), the first time in measurement history that a fall show has grown its audience for five straight weeks following premiere, dating back to 1991.

Head-to-head from 8-10 p.m., Dancing with the Stars led the competition among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 (6.63 million and 1.38 rating, respectively), including CBS's NCIS and NCIS: Origins (4.81 million and 0.25 rating) and the season debut of NBC's NBA basketball coverage (4.73 million and 1.29 rating).

Fan voting leapt to another new high of 53.10 million votes cast (+6% vs. 50.15 million votes cast on 10/14). Dancing with the Stars Surging in Viewership, Especially Among Younger Viewers; Remembering Kimberly Hébert Gregory of Vice Principals

Dancing with the Stars

ABC's formidable Tuesday lineup notched another win this week with both Dancing with the Stars and High Potential continuing their upward trend. The shows' strong performances in week three pushed ABC to a resounding win for the night in entertainment among both Total Viewers (5.30 million) and Adults 18-49 (0.92 rating), with the network leading second place NBC by double digits in Total Viewers (+59% - 5.30 million vs. 3.33 million) and triple digits among Adults 18-49 (+197% - 0.92 rating vs. 0.31 rating).

Dancing with the Stars Season 34 continued to dazzle audiences this week with the show earning 5.82 million Total Viewers and a 1.22 rating among Adults 18-49, hitting a season high in both measures and dominating the 8-10 p.m. time period. In a record-setting turn of events, Dancing with the Stars rose for the second straight week since its season premiere for the first time in 20 years - since the show's first three weeks on air in June 2005. In addition, demonstrating strong interest in the show's festive TikTok night, Dancing with the Stars turned in the show's strongest performance among Adults 18-34 (1.38 rating) in over eight years (since 5/22/17). Dancing with the Stars earned the best Adults 18-34 rating for any entertainment series telecast in over four years (since 8/9/21 with The Bachelorette, excluding post-NFL telecasts), and scored the top entertainment telecast in the younger Adult demographic on any network since this year's Oscars(R) telecast (3/2/25), outperforming marquee live events including CBS' Golden Globe Awards (1.25 rating on 1/5/25), NBC's SNL50: The Anniversary Special (1.29 rating on 2/16/25) and CBS' MTV Video Music Awards (0.88 rating on 9/7/25).

Dancing with the Stars was the No. 1 most social television program across broadcast and cable, earning 2.7 million total social interactions and rising by double digits over last week's episode (+32% vs. 2.1 million). Continuing to break records yet again, fan voting jumped week to week, reaching a new high of 39 million votes cast (+11% vs. 35 million votes cast on 9/23).

Kimberly Hébert Gregory

Actress Kimberly Hébert Gregory, who starred as Dr. Belinda Brown in the HBO comedy series Vice Principals, has died. She died on October 3. Ms. Hébert Gregory was 52.

Vice Principals - Walton Goggins, Kimberly Hébert Gregory and Danny McBride

Hébert Gregory began her career in theatre before her breakthrough role as Dr. Belinda Brown in the 2016-2017 HBO dark comedy series Vice Principals. The series was created by Danny McBride and Jody Hill. At North Jackson High School, ill-tempered and dogmatic vice principal Neal Gamby (Danny McBride) has ambitions of becoming the principal. However, when the current principal steps down, he reveals that he trusts neither Neal nor his scheming and seemingly sociopathic co-vice principal Lee Russell (Walton Goggins) and instead hires outsider Dr. Belinda Brown. The cast included Georgia King, Sheaun McKinney, Busy Philipps, Shea Whigham, and Dale Dickey (season 2).

She voiced Nicole Williams in the 2018-2025 Cartoon Network animated sitcom Craig of the Creek. The series focuses on a trio of kids, collectively referred to as the "Stump Kids," led by Craig Williams (voiced by Philip Solomon), a young boy who wants to explore and map the wide and mysterious creek located in the fictional suburban town of Herkleton, Maryland. Nicole Williams is Craig's loving mother who works as a school counselor and cares deeply for her children. She also appeared in the 2023-2024 spinoff Jessica's Big Little World and the 2023 prequel film Craig Before the Creek.

Some of her sitcom and comedy guest appearances included Two and a Half Men, I Didn't Do It, The Big Bang Theory, The Soul Man, Baby Daddy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2 episodes), The Guest Book, Splitting Up Together, Dollface, Medical Police (3 episodes), Future Man (3 episodes as Mathers), No Activity (voice of Fuller in 4 episodes), and Barry.

Kevin (Probably) Saves the World

Hébert Gregory starred as Yvette in the 2017-2018 ABC fantasy comedy-drama Kevin (Probably) Saves the World. Kevin Finn (Jason Ritter), a down-on-his-luck man who survived a suicide attempt, is tasked by God to save the world. He's guided by Yvette.

She had a recurring role as Lucinda Miller in five episodes the Lifetime comedy-drama Devious Maids in 2014. Some of her other television guest appearances included The Black Donnellys, Gossip Girl, New Amsterdam (2008), Law & Order, Private Practice, Shameless, Grey's Anatomy, Better Call Saul (2 episodes), The Act, The Chi (2 episodes), and All Rise.

Ms. Hébert Gregory was a talented and versatile actress. She was great on Vice Principals and Kevin (Probably) Saves the World. We thank her for her work on television. She will be deeply missed.

Ron Friedman

We also remember television and film writer and producer Ron Friedman. He wrote episodes for many sitcoms in the 1960s and 1970s. He died from cardiopulmonary arrest in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, on September 15. Mr. Friedman was 93.

In 1987, he created Bionic Six. He also worked with Stan Lee to create The Marvel Action Hour with Fantastic Four: The Animated Series and Iron Man: The Animated Series.

He was interviewed for The Interviews: An Oral History of Television in 2016.

Mr. Friedman wrote over 700 hours of episodes for many television series during his career, which spanned from 1963 to 1995. In 1966, he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for his written work on The Danny Kaye Show. We thank him for his work on sitcoms, dramas and animated series. He will be greatly missed.

Sonny Curtis

Hall of Fame musician and songwriter Sonny Curtis wrote and performed the theme song of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. He died from pneumonia at a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 19. Mr. Curtis was 88.

Curtis wrote and performed The Mary Tyler Moore Show's opening theme song, "Love Is All Around", which aired on CBS from 1970 to 1977. The lyrics changed between the first and second seasons, in part to reflect Mary Richards (Mary Tyler Moore) having become settled in her new home. The later lyrics, which accompanied many more episodes at a time when the show's popularity was at a peak, are more widely known, and most covers of the song use these words. The song has been covered by artists such as Ray Conniff, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Christie Front Drive, Sammy Davis Jr., and Twin Cities-based Hüsker Dü (the latter also reproduced several scenes of the opening on location for their music video).

A different instrumental version of the song was later used for the opening of Moore's 1979 CBS sitcom-variety series The Mary Tyler Moore Hour. He composed the opening instrumental theme for the first season (1990-1991) of the CBS sitcom Evening Shade.

He was known for his collaborations with Buddy Holly. He was a member of The Crickets and continued with the band after Holly's death in 1959. His best known compositions include "Walk Right Back", a major hit in 1961 for the Everly Brothers; "I Fought the Law", notably covered by the Bobby Fuller Four, the Clash, and Green Day; "More Than I Can Say", co-written with The Crickets' drummer Jerry Allison and a hit for Leo Sayer in 1980, and "I'm No Stranger to the Rain", a #1 Country hit for Keith Whitley in 1989.

Mr. Curtis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. He died on the 55th Anniversary of the debut of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. In 2010, TV Guide ranked the show's opening title sequence No. 3 on a list of TV's Top Ten credit sequences, as selected by readers. We thank him for the memorable and iconic theme song. He will be sorely missed.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will end in May 2026 at the close of the 2025-26 broadcast season. Colbert announced the news during tonight's taping at the Ed Sullivan Theater.

Official statement: "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will end its historic run in May 2026 at the end of the broadcast season. We consider Stephen Colbert irreplaceable and will retire The Late Show franchise at that time. We are proud that Stephen called CBS home. He and the broadcast will be remembered in the pantheon of greats that graced late night television.

This is purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night. It is not related in any way to the show's performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount.

Our admiration, affection, and respect for the talents of Stephen Colbert and his incredible team made this agonizing decision even more difficult. Stephen has taken CBS late night by storm with cutting-edge comedy, a must-watch monologue and interviews with leaders in entertainment, politics, news and newsmakers across all areas. The show has been #1 in late night for nine straight seasons; Stephen's comedy resonates daily across digital and social media; and the broadcast is a staple of the nation's zeitgeist.

The accomplishments of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert are memorable and significant in performance, quality and stature. With much gratitude, we look forward to honoring Stephen and celebrating the show over the next 10 months alongside its millions of fans and viewers."

Apple TV+ Announces Comedy Series Prodigies; ABC Renews Unscripted Series Slate

Will Sharpe and Ayo Edebiri

Apple TV+ announced the new seven-episode comedy Prodigies, starring BAFTA and SAG Award winner Will Sharpe (The White Lotus, A Real Pain) and Emmy and SAG Award winner Ayo Edebiri (The Bear, After the Hunt). The series is created, written and directed by Sharpe and produced by the Emmy Award and BAFTA Award-winning SISTER. Edebiri will also serve as an executive producer on the series.

This unusual take on a classic romantic comedy explores the universal complexities of long-term relationships through the lens of a very unique couple. Didi (Edebiri) and Ren (Sharpe) are two ex-child prodigies who have been together since they were children. Now in their early 30s, they are starting to question whether their very ordinary existence is living up to the extraordinary promise of their childhood. Inevitably, they find themselves asking the same questions of their relationship. As individual hopes and needs feed into and conflict with their shared lives, the series challenges the fallacy at the heart of romantic storytelling - that the tale is over when the heroes get together. In life, surely, that is just the beginning?

Robert Irwin and Mel Owens

Hulu's inaugural Get Real house brought the biggest names in unscripted television to Beverly Hills for a day of memorable onstage moments, major announcements and high-impact activations from Hulu, ABC and Freeform's robust unscripted TV portfolio. The ultimate crossover event gathered 150 unscripted TV icons and creatives including Alex Cooper, Khloé Kardashian, Jesse Palmer, Alfonso Ribeiro, Vanna White, and more all under one roof. Jesse Palmer revealed the new season of Bachelor in Paradise will head to Costa Rica, with Wells Adams returning as bartender and Hannah Brown bringing the bubbly to rose ceremonies in the all-new Champagne Lounge. Then at 8:30 p.m., Melissa hosts the Schemmenti family Christmas Eve dinner and goes to great lengths to make sure everything is perfect, while Janine and Gregory get an unexpected guest.

Dancing with the Stars

ABC's Dancing with the Stars concluded its spectacular season 33 as the top program of the night, delivering record-breaking audience in both Total Viewers (6.36 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.14 rating) - the best Total Viewer audience since the show's season 29 finale on 11/23/20, the best Adults 18-49 audience since the season 29 premiere on 9/14/20, and its best Adults 18-49 season finale performance in 7 years - since 5/21/18. Dancing with the Stars led its closest broadcast competitor, NBC's The Voice, by +226%, more than tripling its Adults 18-49 performance (1.14 rating vs. 0.35 rating).

Additionally, the season 33 finale was the highest-rated Adults 18-49 regularly scheduled entertainment telecast in primetime since NBC's This Is Us finale (1.28 rating on 5/24/22). Season to date, Dancing with the Stars stands as the No. 1 entertainment series among Adults 18-49 (0.77 rating) - the first time for the show to take the top spot for the broadcast season in its entire history. The show once again broke voting records, garnering over 32 million votes for the teams during the very competitive finale. Dancing with the Stars was the No. 1 most social TV program across broadcast and cable on 11/26 and the No. 1 most social episode of any entertainment series season to date.

Doug Sheehan

Actor Doug Sheehan, who starred as Brian Harper in Day by Day and as Mel Horowitz in Clueless, has died. He died at his home in Big Horn, Wyoming, on June 29. Mr. Sheehan was 75.

Day by Day

Sheehan starred as Brian Harper in the 1988-1989 NBC sitcom Day by Day. The show centers on Brian and Kate Harper (Linda Kelsey), a married couple with two successful careers (Brian as a stockbroker, Kate as a lawyer) and a teenage son named Ross (Christopher Daniel ("C.B.") Barnes). They open a daycare center in their home. The series also starred Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Courtney Thorne-Smith and Thora Birch.

Doug Sheehan - Clueless

He starred as Mel Horowitz in the UPN sitcom Clueless for seasons 2 and 3 (1997-1999). Mel Horowitz is Cher Horowitz's (Rachel Blanchard) rich, widowed lawyer. He replaced Michael Lerner, who played Mel Horowitz during the first season (1996-1997), which aired on ABC. The cast included Stacey Dash, Donald Adeosun Faison, Elisa Donovan, Sean Holland, David Lascher (season 1), Twink Caplan (season 1), Wallace Shawn (season 1), Heather Gottlieb (season 1) and Julie Brown.

Melissa Joan Hart and Doug Sheehan - Sabrina the Teenage Witch

Sheehan played Edward Spellman, Sabrina Spellman's (Melissa Joan Hart) father, in two episodes of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Some of his other sitcom guest appearances included Cheers, Alice, Dear John and Style & Substance.

His first major role was as Joe Kelly in the daytime soap opera General Hospital from 1979 to 1982. He was nominated for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for the role in 1982.

He starred as journalist Ben Gibson in the CBS primetime soap opera Knots Landing from 1983 to 1987. Ben Gibson was the second husband of Valene Ewing (Joan Van Ark).

Some of his other television guest appearances Charlie's Angels (1978), Kaz, MacGyver (1990), Columbo (1993), Promised Land, Diagnosis: Murder, Passions (6 episodes as Mr. Davis) and That Was Then.

Mr. Sheehan was a talented and versatile actor. Day by Day is a funny show with a great cast, which should have had a longer run. It should be available on DVD or streaming. He will be greatly missed.

Benji Gregory

Actor Benji Gregory, who starred as Brian Tanner in ALF, has died. On June 13, Gregory and his service dog, Hans, were found dead inside a car at a Chase Bank parking lot in Peoria, Arizona. However, news of his death was not publicly disclosed until July 11, when the cause of his death was still under investigation. His sister Rebecca said he had suffered from depression, bipolar disorder and a sleep disorder and said he likely died of a heat stroke after falling asleep in his car. On September 13, 2024, the Maricopa County Medical Examiner revealed that Gregory died of both hepatic cirrhosis, with Gregory being revealed to have had a damaged liver, and heat exposure. The death was ruled accidental. Mr. Gregory was only 46.

ALF

He starred as Brian Tanner in the 1986-1990 NBC sitcom ALF. The title character, called ALF (an acronym for "Alien Life Form") but whose real name is Gordon Shumway, crash-lands in the garage of the suburban middle-class Tanner family. Brian Tanner is the middlest son of the Tanner family. He is nicknamed 'B' by the rest of the cast. The cast included Paul Fusco (performed and voiced ALF), Max Wright, Anne Scheeden, Liz Sheridan, John LaMotta, Josh Blake, Anne Meara (1987) and Jim J. Bullock (1989-1990).

Fenster Hall

Gregory appeared as an orphan named Dash in two episodes of Punky Brewster. The final episode in Season 1, titled "Fenster Hall" (aired March 31, 1985), was a failed attempt to create a spin-off of Punky Brewster.

He played Brian in a 1991 episode of Murphy Brown. Some of his other television guest appearances included The A-Team, T.J. Hooker, Amazing Stories and The Twilight Zone (1985). Some of his voice credits included Pound Puppies, Fantastic Max and Back to the Future: The Animated Series (as Biff Tannen Jr.).

He played Harry Carlson, Jr. in Jumpin' Jack Flash (1986). He supplied the voice of Edgar the Mole in the animated feature Once Upon a Forest (1993), which would be his final acting role.

Mr. Gregory was a good child actor. After leaving the acting industry, he served a stint in the U.S. Navy after graduating from school. He enlisted in 2003 and became an aerographer's mate. During his naval career he was assigned to the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70). In 2005, he received an honorable medical discharge from the Navy. We thank him for his work on television and in films and for his service in the Navy. He will be sorely missed.

Among the shows that emerged during his seven years at Fox were The Simpsons, Married... with Children, Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990-2000), Melrose Place and In Living Color.

He then spent seven years at the helm of The WB Television Network. He helped launch the new broadcast network in 1994. During his tenure, he began by championing urban sitcoms such as The Wayans Bros., The Parent 'Hood and Sister, Sister, but eventually steered the network in the direction of teen and family-oriented dramas. 7th Heaven, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Gilmore Girls, Dawson's Creek, Felicity and Charmed all premiered during his presidency.

Kellner was made head of Turner Broadcasting System in 2000, officially succeeding Ted Turner in March 2001. He was chairman and CEO of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., a division of Time Warner which includes TBS, TNT, and Cartoon Network from 2001 to 2003. He was the chairman of station ownership group ACME Communications, a post held from the company's founding until its folding in 2016.

We thank him for the television shows be brought us at Fox, The WB and Turner. He will be missed.

Jonathan Axelrod

Television producer and screenwriter Jonathan Axelrod worked on Dave's World. He died in Los Angeles on June 13. Mr. Axelrod was 74.

When the Whistle Blows

Buckner starred as Lucy Davis in the short-lived 1980 ABC sitcom When the Whistle Blows. The series revolves around a group of construction workers – four males (Norm, Buzz, Randy and Hunk) and one female (Lucy) – for the "Tri-State Construction Company" in Los Angeles and their search for fun both on and off the job. It was filmed single-camera style and without a laugh track. The cast included Doug Brown, Philip Brown, Tim Rossovich, Dolph Sweet, Alice Hirson, Gary Allen, Noble Willingham and Sue Ane Langdon.

She appeared as one of The Krofftettes who performed synchronised swimming routines on the 1976-1997 ABC variety show The Brady Bunch Hour.

Buckner played Kim Patterson in a 1979 episode of The Love Boat. Some of her other television guest appearances included Police Woman, Switch, Starsky & Hutch, The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries (3 episodes) and B.J. and the Bear.

SitcomsOnline Digest: First Week of Writers' Strike Already Sees Early Casualties; Fox Cancels Call Me Kat

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! It's the first week of a writers' strike, so get ready for some disruptions to your TV viewing experiences while the negotiations go down (actually, many have already begun). We also have some renewal and cancellation news, including a rather surprising move of a Fox show heading to ABC (no, it's not an animated comedy). Let's get going!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB

  • Rumors of an impending strike had been floating for several months, so perhaps we shouldn't be totally surprised (though if you weren't following the story closely it may have been), but we now have another writers' strike that is going to shutdown production of new episodes of TV series. (CBS News)
  • One of the first casualties of the writers strike is the remainder of the season for Saturday Night Live, for which all three episodes have been scrapped. (Screen Rant)
  • Call Me Kat? No, you can call it cancelled, as the Fox sitcom has been cancelled after three seasons. (Variety)
  • Deadline has a look at all the shows that have been cancelled in 2023, and it's not a short list either. (Deadline)
  • This one is a little out of the blue: Fox has cancelled 9-1-1, but ABC has decided to pick it up. (Vibe)
  • The Conners may be coming to an end after the upcoming sixth season, although even if it does, it has had a rather long and successful life for a reboot series. (Deadline)
  • Dancing with the Stars is moving back to ABC. (SitcomsOnline)

WEEKLY PLANNER (MAY 6 - MAY 12)

  • Last weekend, Catchy Comedy had a binge of Happy Days; this weekend, it is Laverne & Shirley.
  • ABC, through their ABC News division, begins a four documentary part series celebrating game shows, with The Game Show Show, starting on Wednesday.
  • The MTV Movie and TV Awards airs tomorrow night, but it'll be a little different due to the writers' strike.
  • The final season of Children Ruin Everything debuts Friday on Roku.

Dancing with the Stars Returning to ABC in Fall; Conan O'Brien Producing New Podcast Miniseries

Dancing with the Stars

Dancing with the Stars will make history once again becoming the first series to simulcast across both ABC and Disney+ for its upcoming 32nd season, and will be available the next day on Hulu. Beginning this fall, the beloved show will reach audiences across multiple Disney platforms in their respective time zones. Dancing with the Stars is the hit series hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough in which celebrities are paired with trained ballroom dancers to compete in themed choreographed dance routines that are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts, including Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough. The show is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions.

The Lost Hans & Franz Movie

Conan O'Brien's award-winning podcast Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend announced a brand new podcast miniseries, The Lost Hans & Franz Movie. The four-part podcast series -- featuring comedy legends Conan O'Brien, Dana Carvey, Robert Smigel, and Kevin Nealon -- will drop new episodes weekly beginning Wednesday, May 17. The Lost Hans & Franz Movie is a Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend audio miniseries about Hans & Franz, a movie musical that was never made. Hans & Franz was originally a screenplay written by O'Brien, Carvey, Smigel, and Nealon, based on the 1980's Saturday Night Live sketch starring Carvey and Nealon. Although it was in development at Sony, then Columbia Pictures, in the early 1990's, the musical was never made into a motion picture, but would have starred Carvey and Nealon, as well as Arnold Schwarzenegger (playing himself and other characters in the script).

The podcast miniseries' cast is comprised of the original four writers: O'Brien, Carvey, Smigel, and Nealon. In each episode, they will read selected scenes from the screenplay, and then use those scenes as a jumping off point to reminisce and riff about this formative time in their lives. Carvey recently referenced the film script on O’Brien’s podcast, which was the catalyst for the new miniseries, as the team thought it would be fun to revisit this project. After several meetings, Team Coco secured the rights to read the script for the podcast, and will be airing this podcast miniseries on the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend feed. Universal Pictures’ R-rated comedy Strays is the presenting sponsor of The Lost Hans and Franz Movie, a special Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend miniseries.

Disney+ Series Premiere Dates, Includes Dancing with the Stars; Hallmark Orders New Original Drama

Dancing with the Stars

At the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, Disney+ paneled a selection of upcoming Original Series from across a number of its key brands, including Lucasfilm's Andor, Marvel Studios She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Growing Up from Disney Branded Television and Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory from National Geographic. Fall premiere dates were unveiled for a number of series including Growing Up (Sep 8) and The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers Season 2 (Sep 28), from Disney Branded Television, Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory (Sep 8) and Super/Natural from National Geographic (Sep 21), and Season 31 of Dancing with the Stars on Sept. 19. Ahead of its premiere, Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory has also been picked up for a second season, which is filming now. A new premiere date and rollout for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was also announced. In addition, official trailers for Growing Up and Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory, both premiering on September 8, in celebration of Disney+ Day, were released, along with the official trailer for Super/Natural, premiering September 21.

Production began on Ride, Hallmark Channel's new, original primetime series, shooting on location in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. A compelling, family drama centered on a rodeo dynasty, the series will premiere on Hallmark Channel in 2023. The network has also announced the casting of the dynastic McMurray Family. The series follows Missy McMurray, played by Tiera Skovbye (Riverdale Nurses). A former rodeo queen, Missy is a McMurray by marriage and struggles to find her place in the family. Nancy Travis (Last Man Standing, The Kominsky Method) is Isabel McMurray, the tough-as-nails family matriarch fighting to keep her family legacy afloat following a tragedy. Beau Mirchoff (Good Trouble, Hidden Gems) is Cash McMurray, the second-born son who will carry on his family's legacy; Sara Garcia (The Flash, Reign) is Valeria Galindo and Jake Foy (Designated Survivor, A Little Daytime Drama) is Tuff McMurray, Isabel's youngest son. Rounding out the cast is Tyler Jacob Moore (Shameless, Once Upon a Time) as Gus, a handsome stranger who comes into their lives.

Ride is a multigenerational family ensemble following the lives of the McMurrays, part of a rodeo dynasty going back a generation, as they struggle to keep their beloved ranch afloat. After a tragic loss, each character embarks on an empowering journey of transformation and self-discovery while also uncovering a twisted web of secrets, threatening to tear the family and their small Colorado town apart at the seams. Emotions run high and clashes are common in the complicated McMurray clan, but they are a tight-knit group who don't give up easily. And the three strong women of the family - widowed rodeo queen Missy, matriarch Isabel, and former teen run-away Valeria - resolve to stand strong against all challenges and save their land, come what may.
