No Better off Ted Tonight, But ABC Is Burning Off Episodes of Canceled Series; GMC Spends Father's Day with Cosby
Obviously ABC would MUCH rather have a deciding NBA Finals game tonight rather than two burn-off episodes of Better Off Ted and four repeats of Cougar Town. The NBA Finals had 3 games that were only needed if necessary, and all three did end up being necessary. If this past Sunday's game was not necessary two repeats each of AFV and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition would have aired from 7-11pm. And if Tuesday's game was not necessary, two repeats of Wipeout and a repeat of Primetime: What Would You Do? would have aired instead.
In other ABC summer schedule updates, Primetime: What Would You Do? returns to ABC Fridays on July 9 at 9pm ET/PT and Castle repeats will move to Wednesdays at 10pm ET starting July 14.
Enjoy the game tonight and I bet we will see Better Off Ted rescheduled, so not to worry!
Gospel Music Channel (GMC) will celebrate Father's Day this coming Sunday (June 20) with a marathon of the 1996-2000 CBS sitcom Cosby. You can of course catch the 1996-2000 sitcom every weeknight at 11pm & 11:30pm (since February), but this marathon will air from 11am-9pm ET on Father's Day. Classic episodes will air including the first episode, where Hilton Lucas (Bill Cosby) wakes up from a nightmare about losing his job only to be reminded by his wife Ruth Lucas (Phylicia Rashad) that he did indeed lose it. His desire to stay busy gets in the way when he starts fixing things that aren't broken. The marathon will be followed by the gmc network premiere of the 2000 movie Pay It Forward starring Helen Hunt, Haley Joel Osment, and Kevin Spacey at 9pm ET (and a Cosby episode at 11:30pm ET). And if that's not all, you can enter a contest for your chance to win a GMC sweatshirt autographed by Bill Cosby himself! Enter the contest and watch clips from Cosby. How cool! View episode info for the Cosby Father's Fay marathon.
