Hot in Cleveland Drops in Ratings, But Still Dominant for TV Land; Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows (Week of June 28, 2010)

TV Land's original sitcom Hot in Cleveland continued big ratings for the cable network for episode two this week, despite a drop from the premiere's ratings. The second episode did a 2.3/4 HH rating/share and 3.37 million total viewers for the premiere of episode two on Wednesday (June 23) at 10pm. It was #1 in Primetime for all of Cable with Adults 25-54 with a 1.6 rating and 1.6 million A25-54 viewers. It was also #1 in Primetime for all of Cable with Women 25-54 with a 2.0 rating and 1.1 million W25-54 viewers. The episode was in the top 5 in Primetime for all of Cable with Adults 18-49 with a 0.9 rating and 1.2 million A18-49 viewers. TV Land's Hot in Cleveland only trailed USA Network's primetime line-up on cable of two NCIS repeats and an all-new In Plain Sight (all three hours on USA did a 2.5 HH rating, compared to Hot's 2.3).
While the second episode cooled considerably from last Wednesday's premiere: -28% in households (3.2/6 to 2.3/4), -29% in viewers (4.75 million to 3.37 million), -19% in adults 25-54 (1.6/5 to 1.3/4) and -25% in adults 18-49 (1.2/4 to 0.9/3), it was considerably higher than anything TV Land has ever done. These ratings are live plus same day DVR and do not count any DVR ratings after 3am that night nor does it count any encore airings (there were two encores on the same night at 10:30pm and 1am).
