Heads Will Roll: Heir Apparent

Audible, Inc., the leading creator and provider of premium audio storytelling, and Broadway Video Enterprises announced the highly anticipated return of the hit Audible Original Heads Will Roll, co-created by comedy powerhouses Kate McKinnon and Emily Lynne. After the first season landed on the New York Times Bestseller List and won over audiences with its wildly irreverent comedy, Heads Will Roll: Heir Apparent returns on June 25 with sisters McKinnon and Lynne reprising their roles as the gloriously unhinged Queen Mortuana and her right-hand raven JoJo.

Queen Mortuana (McKinnon) faces her fiercest challenge yet: produce an heir by her 40th birthday or lose everything. According to ancient legend, if a queen fails this task, the demon Ovaria will dethrone her, and condemn her to life as Keeper of the Menstruary. With one year left and her throne on the line, Queen Mo (39) and her raven sidekick JoJo hatch increasingly desperate schemes. They enlist a mysterious Shadow Woman to create a "Marigold Child." They attempt to adopt an Irish contractor's daughter. Nothing goes according to plan.

Meanwhile, JoJo faces her own crisis when a wing-enhancement surgery goes catastrophically wrong, turning her from a raven into a toad. Her quest to break the curse leads to an unexpected romance with Dan, a kind-hearted mole from the tri-state area. Now JoJo must choose: royal duty or a chance at normal life? As Mo's 40th birthday approaches, these reluctant besties discover that family isn't always what you birth. Monarchy has never been more dysfunctional... or more entertaining.

Season two introduces a new batch of A-List stars and comedy greats, including Megan Mullally, Richard Kind, Laurie Metcalf, Sam Richardson, D’Arcy Carden, Carrie Coon, Patti LuPone, Jimmy Fallon, Jenifer Lewis, Susie Essman, Heidi Gardner, Sabrina Impacciatore, Andrea Martin, Timothy Simons, Gabby Windey, Robby Hoffman, Michael Urie, Lisa Gilroy, Daniel Breaker, Brittany Bradford, Alex Carillo-Vaccino, Mikey Day, Sean Patrick Doyle, Alon Elian, Steve Higgins, Alex Moffat, Olivia Oguma, Adam Pascal, Mallory Portnoy, Jim Santangeli, Morgan Smith and Ryan Vasquez. Hulu's Alice and Steve Premieres June 8; Prime Video Renews Hazbin Hotel for a Fifth and Final Season

Alice and Steve

Hulu has announced the premiere date for Alice and Steve, the upcoming outrageously witty comedy from Clerkenwell Films (Baby Reindeer). Starring Jemaine Clement and Nicola Walker, the series will debut with all six episodes on June 8, 2026, on Hulu, and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers, in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally. The announcement follows the series world premiere in competition at CANNESERIES 2026 on April 26. Alice and Steve will make its U.S. premiere at the 2026 Tribeca Festival.

Friends become foes in the ultimate wrong-com. Alice is devastated when her best friend Steve starts dating her 26-year-old daughter Izzy. She's going to lose her best friend and her daughter in one fell swoop. Alice tries everything she can to end the relationship. Unfortunately for her, Steve's more than ready for the attack, and what begins as a perfect friendship, devolves into an all-out feud. A hilarious, messy, and complicated exploration of friendship, love, and revenge, Alice and Steve is an anti-romantic comedy that asks the question, how far would you go for love - or revenge? Will Alice forgive Steve? Will Steve and Izzy make a relationship work? Amongst all the questions hanging in the balance, one thing is certain; their lives will never be the same again.

The six-part Hulu Original series stars Nicola Walker (The Split, Unforgotten), Jemaine Clement (What We Do in the Shadows, Flight of The Conchords), Joel Fry (Cruella), and Yali Topol Margalith (The Tattooist of Auschwitz, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder). Tyrese Eaton-Dyce, Marcia Warren, Eilidh Fisher and Ebony Aboagye also star in the ensemble cast.

Pluto TV Spring Slate Includes My Wife and Kids; Hulu Adding Podcasts with New Girl, Prison Break and This Is Us Stars

Pluto TV

Pluto TV announced the addition of Hart of Dixie, Arrow, The 100, and Everwood to its free, on-demand and linear channel offering, all exclusive to Pluto TV in the free streaming category beginning May 1 (Everwood will be June 1). The selection is deliberate: NRG research (Future of Series) shows 72% of Gen Z prefer content from the 2010s or 2000s, and all four series land squarely in that window. These titles deepen the library already built around beloved genres and cult classics that over-index with the 18–34 audience including The X-Files, Twin Peaks, Fringe, Charmed and Ghost Whisperer.

In addition, My Wife and Kids joins a slate of incredibly well-watched Black family comedies including Sister Sister, The Parkers, The Game and Moesha - all of which regularly chart in the most watched series among the 18-34 audience on Pluto TV. Currently, Pluto TV is the only place viewers can watch My Wife and Kids for free. The beloved family sitcom starring Damon Wayans as a loving husband and modern-day patriarch who rules his household with a unique and distinct parenting style. Originally aired 2001 - 2005. Five seasons with 123 entertaining episodes, available May 1.

The Mess Around

Hulu announced the addition of four new podcasts - Handsome, The Mess Around, Prison Breaking, and That Was Us - to its growing library of licensed and companion podcasts. Following the recent debut of We're Here to Help from Jake Johnson and Gareth Reynolds, this expansion brings extensive new and library episodes to the streamer exclusively before they are available on other platforms. With new episodes streaming weekly, all podcasts will roll out on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S. beginning with The Mess Around on April 19.

In The Mess Around, go behind the scenes of Apartment 4D with the crew who called it home for seven incredible seasons. Each week, real-life friends Hannah Simone (Cece) and Lamorne Morris (Winston Bishop) rewatch their Emmy(R)-nominated series, New Girl, and reveal the never-before-told behind-the-scenes escapades. Speaking of besties - they're inviting all of the loft's favorite guest stars, writers, and directors to share their adventures on set.

Handsome premieres April 20 and is a GLAAD Award-winning comedy podcast from Tig Notaro (Star Trek, The Morning Show, Zootopia 2), Fortune Feimster (FUBAR, The Mindy Project, Zootopia 2), and Mae Martin (Wayward, Feel Good, Zootopia 2). Each week, the hosts field a question from a guest and attempt to answer it together, covering an eclectic mix of topics. Along the way, they share stories, riff on each other, and generally have a ridiculous time.

That Was Us premieres April 27 with Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, and Chris Sullivan hosting. They dive back into the world of the Pearsons, reliving every episode and all the life lessons that came with it. In each new episode they unpack character motivations and storylines, share their unique perspectives, bring in special guests, reveal behind-the-scenes moments, and feature listeners in highly anticipated fan segments.

And Prison Breaking With Sarah & Paul premieres April 28. In the series, Sarah Wayne Callies (Dr. Sara Tancredi) and Paul Adelstein (Agent Paul Kellerman) rewatch and relive Prison Break episode by episode. The on screen adversaries and real life friends share never before heard stories from filming and welcome guests including actors, directors, and writers from the show's five seasons. They answer fan questions, run contests, and explore how television - and culture - has evolved since the series premiered in 2005. Hulu recently ordered a Prison Break reboot to series from Elgin James.

Audible Series with Kevin Hart This Father's Day; Pop Culture Jeopardy! Returns May 11

Kids Make Me Angry

Audible, Inc., the leading creator and provider of premium audio storytelling, announced Kids Make Me Angry, a new Audible Original from global entertainment superstar, entrepreneur, and author Kevin Hart, releasing June 4. This is Kevin’s third project with Audible, following the success of The Decision: Overcoming Today's BS for Tomorrow's Success, and Monsters & How to Tame Them. Part memoir, part parenting survival guide, full of Kevin’s signature comedic storytelling, this deeply personal audiobook follows Hart's 20+ year journey through fatherhood, from growing up with an absent father to becoming a deeply engaged parent of four children.

Kids Make Me Angry chronicles Hart's evolution through eight transformative phases of parenthood—from early "Cluelessness," where panic and preparation collide, to "The Runaway," when learning to let go becomes the hardest lesson. With his signature blend of self-deprecating humor and raw vulnerability, Hart shares the moments that defined him as a father: teaching his 4-year-old about consequences after finding stolen toys in her backpack, jumping fully clothed into a pool to rescue his son from a Power Wheels accident, navigating "the talk" with his teenagers, and watching his daughter become class valedictorian before sending her off to college.

Growing up with an absent father, Hart saw parenthood as "the opportunity of a lifetime" to redefine what fatherhood meant. His mission: to break new ground so his kids could start their families on a stronger foundation, transforming the Hart name from one associated with absence into one defined by presence, love, and mentorship. Releasing two weeks ahead of Father’s Day, Kids Make Me Angry delivers a timely message: being a great father is about showing up consistently, not perfectly.
