Prime Video 2026 Upfront; BET Announces Lot Patrol

Amazon presented its annual upfront to advertisers, showcasing how it reaches customers through bold creative ideas from the biggest stars in movies, television, and sports. Talent from Amazon MGM Studios, Prime Video Sports, Amazon Music, Wondery, and Twitch appeared on stage including Mika Abdalla, Lonnie Ali, Meredith Averill, Penn Badgley, Jaalen Best, Ella Bright, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Belmont Cameli, Antonio Cipriano, Diplo, Meghann Fahy, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Josh Heuston, Ice Spice, Michael B. Prime Video announced it has ordered Escorted to series from Warner Bros. Television. The eight-episode, half-hour single-camera comedy stars and is executive produced, written, and co-showrun by Emmy Award winner Brett Goldstein (Shrinking, Ted Lasso) via his overall deal with Warner Bros. Television, alongside fellow executive producer and co-showrunner Brian Gallivan (Shrinking, Happy Endings). The series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. In Escorted, a divorced dad in Manhattan accidentally becomes a male escort in this romantic comedy about sexual dynamics, keeping secrets, and whether real intimacy can ever be bought.

Prime Video announced the premiere date and shared first looks of the highly-anticipated action comedy, Ride or Die starring and executive produced by Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham. From Paramount Television Studios, the fast-paced series will debut all eight episodes globally on July 15, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world. The series, created by Tessa Coates who executive produces alongside showrunner Matt Miller and director Peyton Reed was first announced at Prime Video’s second annual Upfront Presentation last year.

Ride or Die follows best friends Debbie Claybourne (Octavia Spencer) and Judith Burton (Hannah Waddingham) who thought they knew everything about each other, except Judith turns out to be an international assassin. When a mysterious figure emerges from Judith’s past and a hit goes horribly wrong, both of their worlds are turned upside down as they’re forced to go on the run together. It’s a race against time and a road trip across Europe, with law enforcement, highly trained assassins, and some very dangerous criminals at their heels. Ride or Die also stars Bill Nighy, Ed Skrein, Sylvia Hoeks, Calam Lynch, Savannah Steyn, Jamie Parker, and Jacky Ido.

BET announced the greenlight of Manny Halley Productions' Lot Patrol, a new original comedy series. The series offers a laugh-out-loud look at Hollywood from a perspective the industry rarely lets you see.

A mismatched squad of eccentric security guards patrols the chaotic backlot of a major Hollywood studio, where they wrangle unhinged actors, rogue crew members, and their own wildly dysfunctional personal lives. Shot in a sharp-witted mockumentary style, Lot Patrol blends absurd encounters, razor-sharp urban humor, and unexpectedly heartfelt moments, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the industry through the eyes of those barely holding it together.

Lot Patrol stars DeRay Davis (21 Jump Street, Semi-Pro), Carl Anthony Payne, (Martin, House Party), Tamera Kissen (White Men Can't Jump, House Party), Darius McCrary (Family Matters, Transformers), and Skeet Carter, TK Kirkland, Alex Thomas, Nick Nervies, Dawn Raven, Iyana Halley, and G Thang. Erik White directs, with Ernest L. Dancy and Manny Halley serving as chief writers.

Together, they bring to life a comedy series rooted in BET's pillars of community, culture, and connection, finding all three in the most unlikely crew: underpaid dreamers, washed-up has-beens, and borderline con artists just trying to hold it together on the world's most chaotic lot.

Hulu's Alice and Steve Premieres June 8; Prime Video Renews Hazbin Hotel for a Fifth and Final Season

Hulu has announced the premiere date for Alice and Steve, the upcoming outrageously witty comedy from Clerkenwell Films (Baby Reindeer). Starring Jemaine Clement and Nicola Walker, the series will debut with all six episodes on June 8, 2026, on Hulu, and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers, in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally. The announcement follows the series world premiere in competition at CANNESERIES 2026 on April 26. Alice and Steve will make its U.S. premiere at the 2026 Tribeca Festival.

Friends become foes in the ultimate wrong-com. Alice is devastated when her best friend Steve starts dating her 26-year-old daughter Izzy. She's going to lose her best friend and her daughter in one fell swoop. Alice tries everything she can to end the relationship. Unfortunately for her, Steve's more than ready for the attack, and what begins as a perfect friendship, devolves into an all-out feud. Prime Video announced that the hit adult-animated musical comedy series, Hazbin Hotel, has been renewed for a fifth and final season. From creator Vivienne Medrano, A24, and FOX Entertainment's Bento Box Entertainment, the critically acclaimed series will return to Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Hazbin Hotel follows Charlie, the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom. After a yearly extermination imposed by angels, she opens a hotel in the hopes that patrons will be "checking out" into Heaven. While most of Hell mocks her goal, her devoted partner Vaggi, and their first test subject, adult-film star Angel Dust, stick by her side. When a powerful entity known as the "Radio Demon" reaches out to assist Charlie in her endeavors, her crazy dream is given a chance to become a reality.

Created by Vivienne Medrano, Hazbin Hotel is based on her popular animated pilot, which was released on YouTube in 2019 and quickly gained over 120 million views and a devoted worldwide fan base. The series blends adult humor, unforgettable characters, and catchy musical numbers to create a wholly original and unique world.

Fox is pleased to confirm that our breakout hit series Best Medicine has been renewed for a 12-episode Season Two to debut in the 2026-2027 Season. Best Medicine stars Emmy Award nominee Josh Charles, Abigail Spencer, Josh Segarra, Annie Potts and Cree.

The series centers on Dr. Martin Best (Josh Charles), a brilliant surgeon who abruptly leaves his illustrious career in Boston to become the general practitioner in a quaint East Coast fishing village where he spent summers as a child with his Aunt Sarah (Annie Potts). There, he encounters an eclectic group of townspeople, including schoolteacher Louisa Gavin (Abigail Spencer), Sheriff Mark Mylow (Josh Segarra) and his assistant Elaine Denton (Cree).

Martin's blunt, no-nonsense bedside manner quickly alienates the quirky locals, even though he is the only doctor they have. Prime Video's Bait Premieres March 25; Production Underway on Season 2 of Arctic-set Comedy North of North

Prime Video released the first-look images and special preview clip for the highly anticipated comedy series Bait, starring Riz Ahmed. All six-episodes will be available on March 25, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Bait stars Ahmed as Shah Latif, a struggling actor, whose last chance to hit it big comes in the form of an audition of a lifetime. The series follows him over the course of four wild days as his life spirals out of control and his family, ex-lover and the entire world weigh in on whether he is the right man for the job.

The series also stars Guz Khan as "Zulfi," Sheeba Chaddha as "Tahira," Sajid Hasan as "Parvez," Aasiya Shah as 'Q,' Weruche Opia as "Felicia," and Ritu Arya as "Yasmin."

Netflix, APTN, and CBC with production partners Red Marrow Media and Northwood Entertainment, announced that production is underway on the second season of the Arctic-set comedy North of North (eight half-hour episodes). Created and executive produced by Stacey Aglok MacDonald (Qanurli, The Grizzlies) and Alethea Arnaquq-Baril (Angry Inuk, The Grizzlies) of Red Marrow Media and executive produced by Miranda de Pencier of Northwood Entertainment (Anne with an E, Beginners, The Grizzlies), the highly anticipated new season will premiere on APTN, CBC and Netflix later in 2026. Audiences in Canada can stream season one of North of North on APTN+, CBC Gem and Netflix.

Season two will continue to follow Siaja, a young Inuk mother who attempts to build a new life in her tiny Arctic community of Ice Cove. Anna Lambe will reprise her starring role as Siaja, alongside Maika Harper, Braeden Clarke, Jay Ryan, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Zorga Qaunaq, Bailey Poching, Nutaaq Doreen Simmonds and Keira Cooper. The second season is currently filming in Iqaluit, Nunavut, and Toronto, with production continuing through April.

NBC's Christmas in Rockefeller Center Lineup; Prime Video Gets Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson for Sports Talk Show

Continuing a tradition that spans over nine decades, NBC will celebrate the holiday season with the annual lighting of one of the world's most famous trees in the heart of New York City with the beloved Christmas in Rockefeller Center special, airing live on Wednesday, December 3 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and simulcast on Peacock.

Audiences can expect a star-studded evening of festive performances from many musical guests, including Marc Anthony, Halle Bailey, Michael Bublé, Kristin Chenoweth, Laufey, New Edition, Brad Paisley, Carly Pearce, the Radio City Rockettes and Gwen Stefani. In line with tradition, the Radio City Rockettes, celebrating their 100th anniversary this year, will wow viewers with a festive performance.

As previously announced, country music icon and multi-media entertainment mogul Reba McEntire will make her debut as host of this year's special. In addition to her hosting duties, McEntire will treat viewers to joyful performances throughout the evening from historic Rockefeller Center. McEntire currently stars on season 28 of NBC's The Voice as well as the hit comedy Happy's Place, currently in its second season. NBC's TODAY anchors Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin and Al Roker will join the tree lighting for special appearances.

Prime Sports announced a 12-episode order for Good Sports, an all-new, weekly sports talk show hosted by comedy titans Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson. Premiering November 25 exclusively on Prime Video, new episodes of Good Sports will stream every Tuesday in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Prime Video also revealed first-look images at the Culver Studios-based set in Los Angeles, CA, where the duo will film new episodes each week. Good Sports is the latest addition to the Prime membership. Prime members enjoy savings, convenience, and entertainment, all in a single membership.

The series celebrates a reunion of sports superfans and comedy superstars Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson for an all-new sports comedy talk show that will give fans a front-row seat to the ultimate crossover and transform the traditional world of sports commentary into must-watch TV. ABC's New Game Show The Greatest Average American; Prime Video Christmas Movie

Stand-up comedian Nate Bargatze will host the all-new game show, The Greatest Average American, premiering Wednesday, February 25 (9:02-10:02 p.m. EST), on ABC and next day on Hulu.

The Greatest Average American is a hilarious new game show that celebrates the power of being perfectly average. Each round is packed with laugh-out-loud challenges and trivia as contestants try to guess how everyday Americans think and live. In the end, one lucky player will be crowned the Greatest Average American and get the chance to win the ultimate grand prize: the average American salary of $67,920.

Most recently, Bargatze hosted the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards on CBS, which was the highest-rated Emmy’s show in the last four years. Bargatze will soon star in the family-friendly comedy The Breadwinner for TriStar Pictures, which he co-wrote with Dan Lagana. He will also serve as an executive producer. The film will co-star Mandy Moore, Colin Jost, Will Forte and Kumail Nanjiani, and will be directed by Emmy winner Eric Appel.

Kathleen Madigan Prime Video Special; His & Hers Premiere Date for Netflix

Kathleen Madigan returns to the stage with a new comedy special on Prime Video, Kathleen Madigan: The Family Thread. The one-hour special will premiere November 21, 2025 on Prime Video.

She's the fun lady at the end of the bar with a lot of opinions and only half of the information. Comedian Kathleen Madigan's new special explores gambling as math education, Midwest pioneers, her four cats, and aging parents. Her sharp wit tackles modern church competition while showcasing her mastery of crafting perfect jokes.

Kathleen Madigan has released six one-hour stand-up specials including her most recent 2023 special, Hunting Bigfoot, on Amazon Prime. The special won the Interrobangs's 2023 Comedy Special of the Year as voted on by fans. Her previous special, Bothering Jesus, released on NETFLIX, became the highest selling album and most played comedy album on streaming services since 2015.

Netflix announced that the upcoming limited series, His & Hers, will premiere globally on Thursday, January 8. From visionary filmmaker William Oldroyd, this six-episode, twisty psychological thriller is adapted from Alice Feeney's novel of the same name and stars Tessa Thompson (who also executive produces) and Jon Bernthal. The premiere date news was shared alongside a set of first-look images.

Set in the sweltering heat of Atlanta, Anna lives in haunting reclusivity, fading away from her friends and career as a news anchor. But when she overhears about a murder in Dahlonega - the sleepy town where she grew up - Anna is snapped back to life, pouncing on the case and searching for answers. Detective Jack Harper is strangely suspicious of her involvement, chasing her into the crosshairs of his own investigation. There are two sides to every story: His & Hers, which means someone is always lying.

Starring Tessa Thompson, Jon Bernthal, Pablo Schreiber, Crystal Fox, Sunita Mani, Rebecca Rittenhouse, with Marin Ireland, and Poppy Liu. The Limited Series has 6 episodes.

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Final Season; Bat-Fam Premieres November 10 on Prime Video

During the Jurassic World: Chaos Theory - The Final Season panel this weekend at New York Comic Con, executive producer Scott Kreamer and voice cast Paul-Mikél Williams, Sean Giambrone, Kausar Mohammed and Kiersten Kelly debuted the trailer for attendees as well as an exclusive screening of the first episode. The final season premieres November 20 on Netflix.

The Bat-Family is back, and they've got a lot more than crime-fighting on their plates. At New York Comic Con, Prime Video unveiled the official trailer and premiere date for Bat-Fam, the all-new animated series from DC and Warner Bros. Animation. The half-hour action-comedy is a follow-up to the hit holiday film, Merry Little Batman, and will be available to watch November 10 on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The series will also stream on Amazon Kids+, Amazon’s digital subscription for kids.

At the series' New York Comic Con panel, executive producer and showrunner Mike Roth was joined by cast members Bobby Moynihan (Man-Bat), London Hughes (Alicia Pennyworth), and Yonas Kibreab (Little Batman/Damian Thomas Wayne), to share the exciting news and screen the first episode. The action-packed trailer gave a sneak-peek into the ordinary lives of the extraordinary Super Heroes and all the mayhem they must conquer as a family. With laughter, heroics, and just a dash of drama, BAT-FAM proves that in this family, saving Gotham City is serious business — but family comes first. Bat-Fam follows Batman, Alfred, and young Damian Wayne - now having taken on the mantle of “Little Batman” - as they welcome a few new residents to Wayne Manor. Prime Video Releases Trailer for The Mighty Nein; Season 2 Premiere Date for Cross

Prime Video released the official trailer for the highly anticipated new series, The Mighty Nein, from Critical Role and Titmouse. The dark and edgy animated series revealed "a homeless wizard", "an inebriated goblin", "a shipwrecked sailor", "a cocky ringmaster", "a temperamental monk" and "chaos incarnate". The Mighty Nein follows a group of fugitives and outcasts, bound by secrets and scars. But when a powerful arcane relic known as "The Beacon" falls into dangerous hands, they must learn to work together to save the realm and stop reality itself from unraveling. The series will premiere on November 19 on Prime Video, in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The trailer was revealed during the series' New York Comic Con panel "Critical Role & Prime Video: A Decade of Adventure and The Animated World of Exandria". The panel featured cast and executive producers - Laura Bailey, Matthew Mercer, Marisha Ray, Liam O'Brien, Ashley Johnson, Taliesin Jaffe, Sam Riegel, and Travis Willingham - in an exclusive conversation about what's next in their expanding universe. Panel attendees got the inside scoop on the upcoming animated series, exclusive look at the series trailer, and a special look ahead at Campaign Four of Critical Role's flagship show. Yesterday at New York Comic Con, Prime Video unveiled the gripping teaser and premiere date for Season Two of the hit crime thriller series, Cross, starring and executive produced by Aldis Hodge. Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Paramount Television Studios, the eight-episode second season will debut exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories on Wednesday, February 11, with the first three episodes and new episodes each week leading up to the season finale on March 18.

Cross is a complex, twisted, pulse-pounding thriller created by executive producer, showrunner, and writer Ben Watkins, based upon the characters from James Patterson's best-selling Alex Cross book series. The Washington, D.C. crime drama follows Alex Cross (Aldis Hodge), a brilliant homicide detective and forensic psychologist, uniquely capable of digging into the minds of murderers in order to identify and catch them. In Season Two, Cross is in pursuit of a ruthless vigilante who is hunting down corrupt billionaire magnates.

Season Two brings new cast additions Matthew Lillard, Jeanine Mason and Wes Chatham joining the Cross universe as well as returning stars Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, and Johnny Ray Gill.

Prime Video's Kevin Details; Trailer for Crutch with Tracy Morgan

The cat's out of the bag! Prime Video announced series regulars of the upcoming adult animated series Kevin. The series stars Jason Schwartzman (Isle of Dogs, The French Dispatch) as Kevin, a housecat who decides to try life without people, and Aubrey Plaza as Dana (The White Lotus, Emily the Criminal), one half of a human couple who he leaves behind. Additional series regulars include Whoopi Goldberg (The Lion King, Sister Act) as Cupcake, John Waters (Hairspray, Liar Mouth) as Armando, and Aparna Nancherla (The Great North, Bob's Burgers) as Judy- Kevin's new cat roommates at a local pet rescue run by human Seth, played by Gil Ozeri (Big Mouth, Monsters) and his dog Brandi, played by Amy Sedaris (BoJack Horseman, At Home with Amy Sedaris). The series is set to stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Loosely inspired by a real life break-up and the cat who was caught in the middle, Kevin is a hilarious and heart-warming story about finding where you belong in the world. After the unexpected break-up of his human "owners," Kevin moves into a local pet rescue in Astoria, Queens where a chaotic band of misfit animals will help him to figure out what he really wants out of life.

Paramount+ original comedy series Crutch, starring Tracy Morgan, will premiere on Monday, November 3. Produced by CBS Studios, all eight episodes of the series will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ at launch. Set in the world of the CBS Original Comedy The Neighborhood, Crutch centers on its titular character Francois "Frank" Crutchfield (Morgan), who goes by "Crutch," a brash, yet beloved Harlem shop owner whose world is turned upside down when his highbrow son and free-spirited daughter move back into the family home.

Crutch also stars Jermaine Fowler (Superior Donuts), Tony Award winner Kecia Lewis (Hell's Kitchen), Adrianna Mitchell (Snowfall), Adrian Martinez (The Amateur), Braxton Paul (Sesame Street) and Finn Maloney (Suncoast).

In a special event within The Neighborhood universe, Morgan will also guest star as "Crutch" in an all-new episode of the hit CBS comedy The Neighborhood, airing the same night, Monday, November 3 (8:00 - 8:30 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs).

"Welcome to Family Value" - Calvin (Cedric The Entertainer) reaches out to his cousin Crutch (Tracy Morgan) to get Malcolm (Sheaun McKinney) a sweet deal on a new floor. However, Crutch insists on coming to L.A. to oversee the work himself, where he drives Tina (Tichina Arnold) crazy - and reveals an emotional vulnerability.

MeTV Acquires Everybody Loves Raymond; Hazbin Hotel Season 2 Trailer

MeTV prepares to welcome Everybody Loves Raymond to the MeTV primetime lineup with two back-to-back episodes airing Monday-Friday 9-10pm ET/PT, beginning Monday, October 13, 2025. The show will also air back-to-back episodes Sunday nights from 10-11pm ET/PT. MeTV is home to more than 60 timeless and beloved TV series. Everybody Loves Raymond will air alongside M*A*S*H, The Andy Griffith Show, Hogan's Heroes, The Carol Burnett Show and dozens of other programs that TV fans like you have embraced for generations.

Next year, Everybody Loves Raymond marks its 30th anniversary after launching into America's family rooms in 1996. Created by Phil Rosenthal and Ray Romano, and starring Ray Romano, Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle, Everybody Loves Raymond aired on CBS for nine seasons. During its historic run, the series earned 15 Primetime Emmy Awards, including two for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Prime Video released the official trailer for Season Two of the hit adult animated musical series, Hazbin Hotel, from creator Vivienne Medrano, A24 and FOX Entertainment Studios' Emmy award-winning Bento Box Entertainment. The trailer teases the first single, "Hazbin Guarantee (Trust Us)" and the complete Hazbin Hotel: Season Two (Original Soundtrack) is now available for pre-order HERE. The second season of Hazbin Hotel, premiering October 29, consists of eight episodes, with two episodes rolling out weekly through November 19. The series will be available on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

SNL Season 51 Guests for First Episodes; Prime Video's Bat-Fam Series

The 51st season of Saturday Night Live will premiere October 4 with Bad Bunny returning for his second turn as host. The three-time Grammy Award winner kicks off his highly anticipated world tour this fall, celebrating his critically acclaimed album, "DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS." Doja Cat will make her SNL musical guest debut. The Grammy winner's fifth album, "Vie," will be released September 26.

On October 11, Amy Poehler will return to Studio 8H for her second individual SNL hosting appearance and third overall. The Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner hosts the popular podcast "Good Hang with Amy Poehler." Role Model will perform as musical guest for the first time. He just marked his first Billboard No. 1 song with "Sally, When the Wine Runs Out" topping the Adult Alternative Airplay chart. SNL originally premiered on October 11, 1975.

Sabrina Carpenter will do double duty on October 18, marking her first appearance as SNL host and second appearance as musical guest. The Grammy winner's newest album, "Man's Best Friend," debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. In addition to the broadcast on NBC (11:30 p.m. ET/ 8:30 p.m. PT), SNL streams live on Peacock.

Remembering Polly Holliday of Alice and Flo; Prime Video's Overcompensating Renewed for Season 2

Actress Polly Holliday, who starred as Florence Jean "Flo" Castleberry in Alice and Flo, has died. She died from an apparent bout of pneumonia at her home in Manhattan, New York City, on September 9. Ms. Holliday was 88.

Holliday starred as Florence Jean "Flo" Castleberry in the CBS sitcom Alice from 1976 to 1980. The show stars Linda Lavin as Alice Hyatt, a widow who moves with her young son to start life over again and finds a job working at a roadside diner in Phoenix, Arizona. Flo is a sassy, man-hungry waitress at Mel's Diner. Her character's catchphrase of "kiss my grits!" remains the most memorable line associated with the series. "When donkeys fly!" was one of her other catchphrases.

She won two Golden Globe Awards for Best Supporting Actress - Series, Miniseries or Television Film in 1979 and 1980. She received three Emmy nominations for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 1978, 1979 and 1980. The season 1-4 cast included Vic Tayback, Beth Howland, and Philip McKeon. Diane Ladd joined the cast in 1980 as Isabelle "Belle" Dupree, a hard-edged but kind-hearted woman. Recurring cast members included Marvin Kaplan (1977-1985), Dave Madden (1978-1985), Martha Raye (1978-1984), Duane R. Campbell (1978-1985), and Alan Haufrect (1978-1980).

Holliday left the show to star in her own spin-off series Flo, which aired on CBS for two seasons from 1980 to 1981. She reprised her role as sassy and street-smart waitress Florence Jean "Flo" Castleberry who returns to her hometown of Fort Worth, Texas—referred to as "Cowtown"—and becomes the proprietor of a rundown old roadhouse that she renames "Flo's Yellow Rose". The cast included Geoffrey Lewis, Jim B. Baker, Sudie Bond, Lucy Lee Flippin, Joyce Bulifant, Leo Burmester, Stephen Keep, George Flower, Mickey Jones, and Terry Willis (1980).

She joined the cast of the CBS sitcom Private Benjamin in the third season (1982-1983) as a temporary replacement for series regular Eileen Brennan (Cpt. Doreen Lewis), who was recovering from serious injuries after being struck by a car. She appeared as Cpt. Amanda Allan in three episodes before the series was canceled. The series was based on and set during the events of the 1980 movie of the same name.

Holliday had a recurring role as Lillian Patterson, Jill Taylor's (Patricia Richardson) mother, in five episodes of Home Improvement from 1993 to 1999. She starred as Captain Betty in the pilot episode of the CBS sitcom Stir Crazy in 1985. She played Lily, Rose Nylund's (Betty White) blind sister, in the episode "Blind Ambitions" of The Golden Girls in 1986.

She appeared as Prison Inmate Leader in six episodes of the CBS soap opera Search for Tomorrow in 1974. Some of her other television guest appearances included NBC Special Treat, American Playhouse, Amazing Stories (1986), The Equalizer (1988), and Homicide: Life on the Street. She starred as Momma Love, the mother of Reggie Love (JoBeth Williams), in the 1995-1996 CBS legal thriller drama The Client (also referred to as John Grisham's The Client).

Holliday starred as Mrs. Ruby Deagle in the 1984 black comedy horor film Gremlins (1984). She won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 1984. She starred as Gloria Chaney, Daniel Hillard's (Robin Williams) nosy neighbor, in Mrs. Doubtfire (1993). She starred as Marva Kulp Sr., the owner and director of Camp Walden, in The Parent Trap (1998). Her final credit was in the 2010 film Fair Game, in which she played Diane Plame, the mother of Valerie Plame.

Ms. Holliday was funny and memorable as Flo in Alice and Flo. Her "kiss my grits!" line was originally written as "kiss my honeydew!", but it didn't get any laughs. It became a widespread, iconic catchphrase of the era. She was the last surviving member of the original cast of Alice. We thank her for the laughs and entertainment that she brought us during her career. She will be deeply missed.

Prime Video has ordered a second season of Benito Skinner's Overcompensating from Amazon MGM Studios, A24 and Strong Baby. Skinner will return to write, star, and executive produce.

The series is a college-set ensemble comedy about the chaotic journey of Benny (Skinner), a closeted former football player and homecoming king, as he becomes fast friends with Carmen, an outsider on a mission to fit in at all costs. Deeply funny and personal, the show explores the lengths to which we all overcompensate while finding out who we really are.

Netflix Renews Leanne for Season 2; Hazbin Hotel Returns October 29

Netflix announced the hit comedy series Leanne was renewed for a second season. The multi-cam comedy debuted on Netflix's Global Top 10 and has received rave reviews by the critics.

Leanne's (Leanne Morgan) world is turned upside down when her husband of 33 years unexpectedly leaves her for another woman. Supported by her family, including her ride-or-die sister Carol (Kristen Johnston), Leanne learns to embrace the chaos and finds strength, laughter and hope in the most unexpected places. This heartfelt comedy proves that it's never too late to rewrite your story.

Leanne is co-created and executive produced by Susan McMartin, Chuck Lorre, and Leanne Morgan. Nick Bakay and Judi Marmel also serve as executive producers. The series stars Leanne Morgan, Kristen Johnston, Celia Weston, Blake Clark, Ryan Stiles, Graham Rogers and Hannah Pilkes.

War is coming to Hell in Prime Video's teaser trailer for Season Two of the hit adult animated musical series, Hazbin Hotel. The trailer teases Vox's dark rise to power against Charlie Morningstar and her hotel's mission. The second season of Hazbin Hotel, premiering October 29, consists of eight episodes, with two episodes rolling out weekly through November 19. The series will be available on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Additionally, Seasons One and Two of Helluva Boss, the second series in the Hellaverse universe, along with a new original episode titled, "Mission: Zero," will be available on Prime Video on September 10.

Hazbin Hotel follows Charlie, the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of rehabilitating demons to peacefully reduce overpopulation in her kingdom. After a yearly extermination imposed by angels, she opens a hotel in the hopes that patrons will be "checking out" into Heaven. While most of Hell mocks her goal, her devoted partner Vaggie, and their first test subject, adult-film star Angel Dust, stick by her side. When a powerful entity known as the "Radio Demon" reaches out to assist Charlie in her endeavors, her crazy dream is given a chance to become a reality.

English Teacher Returns on FX for Season 2; Jesse Williams Prime Video Series Trailer

FX has announced that season 2 of English Teacher will premiere its first three episodes back-to-back on September 25. They will stream the next day on Hulu.

Brian Jordan Alvarez created and stars as Evan Marquez in the series about an English teacher navigating high school and political dynamics in Austin, Texas. Also returning for season 2 are Stephanie Koenig as Gwen, Sean Patton as Markie, Carmen Christopher as guidance counselor Rick and Enrico Colantoni as principal Grant Moretti.

This season, Evan refuses to stay quiet when controversy arises at Morrison-Hensley High. The gang finds themselves in the crosshairs of issues including climate change, Covid, military recruitment and student phone usage. Evan is also still struggling to keep his relationship with Malcom, played by Jordan Firstman, separate from his work life. Although Malcolm no longer works at Morrison-Hensley, Evan’s excessive righteousness at school takes an increasing toll on his romantic life.

Prime Video unveiled the official trailer and key art for Hotel Costiera, the new Original series starring Jesse Williams, which will debut with all six episodes on September 24 exclusively on Prime Video in the United States, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Turkey, Norway, Denmark, Great Britain, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Filmed in Italy, Hotel Costiera is a clever action-drama directed by Emmy Award winner Adam Bernstein and by Giacomo Martelli. The series is based on an idea by Luca Bernabei, written by Elena Bucaccio, Matthew Parkhill and Francesco Arlanch and co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Luca Bernabei for Lux Vide, a Fremantle company.

Set in Italy in the stunning Amalfi Coast, the transportive series boasts an exceptional Italian and international cast. Alongside lead actor Jesse Williams, the rich ensemble cast also includes Maria Chiara Giannetta, Jordan Alexandra, Antonio Gerardi, Sam Haygarth, Tommaso Ragno, Amanda Campana, Pierpaolo Spollon, Alejandra Onieva and Jean-Hugues Anglade.
