FX on Hulu's Reservation Dogs Renewed; Comet and Stirr Celebrate Star Trek Day

FX's hit comedy Reservation Dogs, which continues to gain critical acclaim and fans in its first season, has been renewed for a second season. The second season of Reservation Dogs is expected to premiere in 2022, exclusively on FX on Hulu. The first season of Reservation Dogs currently enjoys a 100% Certified Fresh ratings on Rotten Tomatoes and has earned Universal Acclaim on Metacritic. Season one continues on FX on Hulu with the latest episode premiering yesterday on Monday, September 6 with episode six, "Hunting": Willie Jack and Leon go hunting. Written and Directed by Sterlin Harjo. The season one finale is slated for September 20. The series is a half-hour comedy that follows the exploits of four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma who steal, rob and save in order to get to the exotic, mysterious and faraway land of California.
Starring D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Devery Jacobs, Paulina Alexis and Lane Factor, Reservation Dogs is filmed on location in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. A breakthrough in Indigenous representation on television both in front of and behind the camera, every writer, director and series regular on the show is Indigenous. This first-of-its-kind creative team tells a story that resonates with them and their lived experiences - and invites audiences into a surprisingly familiar and funny world.

Tomorrow (Wednesday, September 8), Sinclair's Comet and Stirr will celebrate Star Trek Day, commemorating the September 8, 1966 debut of the first Star Trek episode airing in the US. Comet, Sinclair Broadcasting Group's multicast channel network specializing in science fiction programming, will be airing Star Trek movies on rotation all month long as well: Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Nemesis. On Star Trek Day, 9/8, Comet is airing two Star Trek movies (Star Trek: Generations and Star Trek: First Contact). Comet can be watched over the air, on cable, on YouTube TV and Dish Network. Comet is also available via on Sinclair's streaming service STIRR and on Comet's app which is available on Roku and Samsung Smart TVs and can be watched at comettv.com
Stirr, Sinclair's free, ad-supported OTT streaming service, will feature Comet TV's special line up of Star Trek movies, three documentaries examining Star Trek's lasting global impact on society will stream on the Stirr Movies channel and the Stirr City channel will stream the TV five part mini-series The Captain's Close Up with William Shatner.
