SitcomsOnline Digest: One Day at a Time Comes to an End (Again); SNL Lines Up December Hosts

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! This week, we're learning of the cancellation (again!) of One Day at a Time, but one of the stars may be landing somewhere else fairly quickly. Also, we're hearing what fans and critics think of the Saved by the Bell reboot, a plan to replace Alex Trebek (at least temporarily, and more). Let's get going!

  • ... Isabella Gomez has a new role lined up, effectively filling the role that Howard Hesseman played in the original series in a HBO Max reboot of Head of the Class. (Deadline)
  • The Saved by the Bell reboot has arrived on Peacock, and the reviews have been surprisingly positive, meaning a renewal for a second season may come. (Bustle)
  • Saturday Night Live hosts for December have been set, and Jason Bateman is among them. (Deadline) 
  • Jeopardy! has a plan to replace Alex Trebek as host, at least temporarily, with a series of rotating hosts. (Yahoo! News)
  • Pluto TV is the place to be for classic TV fans, as the free streaming service now has new channels featuring Gary Marshall sitcoms, The Beverly Hillbillies, and more. (SitcomsOnline)

When Gabby asks Bobbie to help vet men to be her potential donor, Bobbie is happy to participate until she discovers Gabby is considering Emmett for the donation; Isabella is asked to be the guest speaker for Takoda's daughter's class.
