SitcomsOnline Digest: Reboot of The Game in the Works; New Programming for Classic TV Digital Nets in January

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! Christmas week is already upon us (that really sneaked up fast!), and we've got some news for you, mostly in the form of pilots for next season. Let's get going!

  • Our "reboot of the week" this week is The Game, which The CW is considering bringing back. (Deadline)
  • NBC has Bad Taste, or at least they bought a workplace comedy with that title. (Deadline)
  • Fox has another new animated comedy, Housebroken, in the pipelines. (Hollywood Reporter)
  • Live in Front of a Studio Audience made an appearance for a new installment on ABC this week, but between a vote to impeach the president that interrupted it and the lack of attention that it got compared to the first one, it saw a huge ratings drop. (NY Post)
  • January 1st is always like a new season for the digital networks that show classic TV series, and we have new schedules for three of them. (MeTV, COZI TV, Antenna TV)

WEEKLY PLANNER (DECEMBER 21 - DECEMBER 27)

  • Decades is airing a marathon of Charlie's Angels this weekend, just before it heads over to Cozi in the new year.
  • Antenna TV is airing plenty of Christmas episodes on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
  • It took a long time to make it happen, but Eddie Murphy will be hosting Saturday Night Live tonight.

Kaleb is putting extreme pressure on Jazmine to have sex with him for her first time but Calvin comes in and rains on their parade.

Tyler Perry's Assisted Living - "The Secret Ingredients" (BET, 8:30PM ET/PT)
Leah becomes increasingly jealous of Sandra and Anastasia's relationship; the residents compete for the crown in a special baking competition.
