SitcomsOnline Digest: Greatest American Hero Reboot for ABC?; One Day at a Time Complete Series DVD Release On the Way

- We would almost like to have a week where we aren't hearing about another reboot, but it won't be this week, as ABC is looking to reboot Greatest American Hero, with a female lead. (Hollywood Reporter)
- The Carol Burnett Show is turning 50, and CBS is ready to celebrate in December. (Entertainment Weekly)
- Amazon has ordered a trio of comedy pilots, and all of them are from veterans of successful comedies that we've seen in recent years. (Deadline)
- Big Brother has been a staple of the CBS summer lineup for nearly two decades now, and this winter, they're going to do what every reality show eventually does: a celebrity version. (CNN)
- The Goldbergs (the ABC series, not the Gertrude Berg one of course) is headed to Nick at Nite in a little over a week. (SitcomsOnline)
HOME MEDIA HIGHLIGHTS
- We didn't quite see this one coming, but One Day at a Time is not only being continued on DVD, but we'll see the entire series in one big swoop, with One Day at a Time - The Complete Series, set for a release on December 5 from Shout! Factory.
- Shout! Factory is also releasing Police Woman - Season Three, on December 19.
TUESDAY (SEPTEMBER 12) HOME MEDIA RELEASES

- The Big Bang Theory - The Complete Tenth Season (DVD, $44.98; Blu-ray, $49.99): It's hard to believe they're already finished with the tenth season, but it arrives on DVD and Blu-ray in this release.
- The Goldbergs - The Complete Third Season (DVD, $26.99); The Goldbergs - The Complete Fourth Season (DVD, $26.99): Just ahead of the fifth season, Sony brings the fourth season (as well as the third season that they somehow failed to release a year ago as they normally would) of the series to DVD in two separate releases.
