Peacock's Twisted Metal Returns July 31; Poker Face Lines Up Big Guests for Season 2

Twisted Metal

Peacock has released the date announcement teaser, first look photos and July 31 as the premiere date for Season 2 of Twisted Metal, starring Anthony Mackie ('John Doe'), Stephanie Beatriz ('Quiet'), Joe Seanoa and Will Arnett ('Sweet Tooth'), and Anthony Carrigan who joins S2 as fan favorite 'Calypso'. Twisted Metal S2 Premieres July 31 Only On Peacock. The stakes couldn't be higher as John Doe (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz) risk their lives to compete in a dangerous demolition derby tournament. The prize? A single wish, their greatest heart's desire, granted. The only problem is sixteen other drivers have wishes of their own. Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz lead a stellar cast, including Will Arnett & Joe Seanoa (aka Samoa Joe) as fan favorite Sweet Tooth, and Anthony Carrigan as the iconic tournament host Calypso, in a fast-paced, hysterical, thrilling season with unforgettable characters. It's too bad not all of them will survive.

Following the revelations in the season one finale, John and Quiet find themselves entering the deadly Twisted Metal tournament, a sinister demolition derby hosted by a mysterious man known as Calypso. As they try to survive an onslaught of dangerous new foes and familiar faces alike, including the murderous clown Sweet Tooth, things get complicated for John when he reunites with his long-lost sister, the vigilante Dollface.

Poker Face

She's back on her bull****. Poker Face Season 2 arrives May 8 on Peacock. Charlie Cale is back on the run, and in Season 2 has taken her journey to the next level one murder mystery at a time. From minor league baseball to big box retail, from funeral homes to alligator farms and even a grade school talent show, Charlie navigates her crime solving existential road-trip with deadpan wit, human empathy, and her signature uncanny lie-detecting ability.

To bring Season 2 to life, they pulled visual inspiration from American '70s cinema, all the stuff you love like Robert Altman, Bob Rafelson, Peter Bogdanovich. But the backbone of this show is TV - the kind of TV we grew up watching, episodic case of the week gems like Columbo and The Rockford Files and Quantum Leap. Each episode is a mini movie, existing in its own world with a unique tone and vibe, featuring an eccentric lot of characters played by a truly gonzo parade of guest stars like Cynthia Erivo, Katie Holmes, John Mulaney, Jason Ritter, and Awkwafina (and many many more, the list is kinda dizzying) who all dove into the game with joy and came ready to play.

Twelve killer new episodes are coming your way. Buckle up and see you on the road!

You will cheer for our charismatic hero John Doe, played by Anthony Mackie, as he drives across the Divided States of America in search of a place to belong. You will root for our heroes to take down psychotic highway patrolman Agent Stone, played by Thomas Haden Church, who sees the world in black and blue. And you’ll discover a surprising soulfulness to our deranged, murderous clown Sweet Tooth, voiced by Will Arnett and performed by Joe Seanoa aka wrestler Samoa Joe.
