Scooby-Doo: Origins Wraps Production for 2027 Release; The Unusual Suspects with Kenya Barris & Malcolm Gladwell Season 2
Netflix has announced that Scooby-Doo: Origins has officially wrapped production ahead of the series' global release on Netflix in 2027. Scooby-Doo: Origins marks the first time in the Scooby-Doo franchise that the character of Scooby-Doo will be portrayed by a real Great Dane dog.
Previously announced cast includes Mckenna Grace as "Daphne Blake," Tanner Hagen as "Shaggy Rogers," Abby Ryder Fortson as "Velma Dinkley," Maxwell Jenkins as "Fred Jones," Paul Walter Hauser, Rusty Schwimmer, Peter Macon, Jona Xiao, Dani Deetté, Elysée Sanvillé, Alex Isles, Avery Kristen Pohl, Pamela Mitchell, Ross Kimball, Sara Gilbert, Wynn Everett, Sauriyan Sapkota, Bruce McGill, André Benjamin, and Cathy Moriarity.
A modern reimagining of the iconic mystery-solving group of teens and their very special dog. During their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder. Together with the pragmatic and scientific townie, Velma, and the strange, but ever so handsome new kid, Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets.
Kenya Barris and Malcolm Gladwell bypass pleasantries and promotional banter to deliver raw, unfiltered conversations with some of today's most influential and fascinating figures. Featuring two seasons of titans spanning every corner of culture—from Oscar-winning directors and Grammy-winning musicians to trailblazing Fortune 500 CEOs and iconic artists— The Unusual Suspects with Kenya Barris & Malcolm Gladwell gives listeners rare access to the minds of the world's most extraordinary individuals and the pivotal moments that defined their paths to greatness.
For the first time, Season 1 video episodes are now available to watch on the Audible app and across third party services where customers can listen to The Unusual Suspects, including Apple Podcasts and Amazon Music. Season 2 video episodes will be available exclusively in-app for Audible members.
