NBC Fall 2026 Premiere Dates; Leanne Season 2 Premieres August 27 on Netflix

Three days after airing the Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday, September 14, NBC will begin its 2026-27 entertainment season with a stacked lineup of new and returning reality series, the highly popular #OneChicago and Law & Order franchises and exciting freshman additions - the compelling drama Line of Fire and new comedy Newlyweds.

The season gets off to a supersized start at 8 p.m. Thursday, September 17 with the two-hour launch of The Traitors: New Blood, the innovative civilian-led incarnation of the Emmy Award-winning hit Peacock series hosted by Alan Cumming. Followed by another two-hour episode on September 24, the series will move into its regular hourlong timeslot on Thursday, October 8.

Milestone season 30 of The Voice arrives the next week at 8 p.m. Monday, September 21 with new coaches Queen Latifah and Riley Green. They'll be joined by Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine. Right after The Voice at 10 p.m. will mark the premiere of the new drama series Line of Fire, starring Peter Krause and Hope Davis, about a family of law enforcement professionals entangled in a deadly conspiracy. Another thrilling season of summer's most-watched series will conclude Wednesday, September 23 when a new champion is set to be crowned on America's Got Talent.

On Wednesday, October 7, fan-favorite #OneChicago is back with all-new tales from the Windy City and its incredible first responders. A day later on Thursday, October 8, Law & Order: SVU - the longest-running scripted primetime series in television history - will begin its 28th season at 9 p.m., followed by the mothership series at 10 p.m.

Two weeks later on Friday, October 23, NBC will open the bar at 8 p.m. as Happy's Place comes back for its third season. Right after at 8:30 p.m. will be the premiere of the new sitcom Newlyweds, starring Téa Leoni and Tim Daly. The third season of the hit comedy St. Denis Medical will launch Monday, November 2 at 8 p.m., followed by the second season premiere of The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins.

NBC will officially kickoff fall on Wednesday, September 9 with the launch of the new season of Sunday Night Football - the #1 primetime program for the last 15 years - when the World Champion Seattle Seahawks play host to the New England Patriots in a rematch of last year's Super Bowl. The first Sunday night telecast will air later that weekend on September 13 when the Dallas Cowboys head to MetLife Stadium to visit the New York Giants in the first game for new head coach John Harbaugh.

With the holidays coming up on the heels of the fall season, NBC will be airing a three-hour celebration of its 100th anniversary on Thursday, December 10. Details of the special will be announced at a later date. In addition, the highly anticipated 100th edition of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade(R) - the most-watched entertainment show of the recent broadcast season - returns to NBC and Peacock on November 26 morning. As previously announced, NBC's other two new scripted greenlit series - drama The Rockford Files and comedy Sunset P.I. - will launch in January and February, respectively.

The official first look debut, premiere date and and guest star news have been released for season 2 of the hit sitcom Leanne, from co-creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre. Leanne Season 2 premieres August 27 only on Netflix. New guest stars including country star Lainey Wilson, Jaime Pressly, Billy Gardell and Tyne Daly join Season 2.

Leanne's (Leanne Morgan) world is turned upside down when her husband of 33 years unexpectedly leaves her for another woman. Supported by her family, including her ride-or-die sister Carol (Kristen Johnston), Leanne learns to embrace the chaos and finds strength, laughter and hope in the most unexpected places. This heartfelt comedy proves that it's never too late to rewrite your story.

King of the Hill Season 15 Premieres July 20; The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins Renewed for Season 2

NBC has renewed its freshman comedy The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins for a second season. The premiere episode, which aired Jan. 18, has been seen by more than 14 million viewers and was the #1 comedy telecast of the season across all broadcast networks. The series is the #1 new comedy of the 2025-26 season in the 18-49 demo.

Disgraced former football star Reggie Dinkins (Tracy Morgan) is on a mission to rehabilitate his image with the help of award-winning filmmaker Arthur Tobin (Daniel Radcliffe). In order to earn back the admiration of his fans and the respect of his family, Reggie will also have to confront the ghosts of his past.

The cast includes Tracy Morgan, Daniel Radcliffe, Erika Alexander, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way, and Jalyn Hall. Robert Carlock and Sam Means serve as co-showrunners, writers and executive producers. The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins Gets Post Saturday Night Live Encore; Chris Fleming HBO Special

NBC will air the pilot episode of The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins on February 28 at 1 a.m. ET/PT, immediately following Saturday Night Live. The special premiere that aired January 18 following the network's coverage of the NFL playoff game between the Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears drew 5.8 million viewers, making it the most-watched comedy this season. The series will return on Monday, February 23 at 8 p.m. with an encore of the pilot and a new episode immediately following at 8:30 p.m. in its timeslot premiere. The series will continue its run in the 8:30 p.m. Monday timeslot the following week on March 2.

NBC Unveils Trailer and Guest Stars for The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins; Adult Swim's Anime Series Rooster Fighter Premieres March 14

NBC has unveiled the official trailer and that Megan Thee Stallion will guest star on the new comedy series The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins. The series premieres Monday, February 23 at 8PM with an encore of the pilot and a new episode at 8:30PM. Episodes available next day on Peacock.

Starring Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe with guest stars include Megan Thee Stallion, Heidi Gardner, Ronny Chieng, Anna Camp, Craig Robinson & more! Megan will play "Denise," a recently divorced mom who strikes up a flirtation with Arthur Tobin (Daniel Radcliffe).

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins had a special premiere on Sunday, January 18 at 10 p.m. / 7p.m PT following coverage of the NFL playoff game between the Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears. With this addition, Season 8 of The Rookie shifts to Mondays at 10 p.m. starting Jan. 26, following the highly anticipated season premiere of American Idol. All episodes stream next day on Hulu. With this shift, the remaining 15 episodes of The Rookie will have a straight run with no interruptions. The Rookie Season 8 premiere scored 7.88 million Total Viewers after three days of viewing on ABC, Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ and digital platforms, rising over last season's premiere (+6% vs. 7.40 million on 1/7/25) and matching its best premiere performance in MP+3 since season two on 9/29/19. The Season 8 opener of The Rookie set a record with its biggest premiere for the series on streaming, based on seven days of views on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.

NBC has pulled The Paper from Mondays. Instead the final three episodes of The Paper will air on Saturday, January 3 from 8pm-9:30pm followed by a repeat of St. Denis Medical at 9:30pm. Repeats of Stumble will now air on Mondays, January 5 through February 2 at 8:30pm instead of The Paper. After the Winter Olympic Games on February 23, new comedy The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins will take over the timeslot.

In other scheduling news, a repeat of Stumble will air at 7pm on Sunday, January 11 before an NFL Wild Card Game, while on Sunday, January 25 NBC has scheduled an original Dateline NBC from 7-9pm and repeats of Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU from 9-11pm opposite the NFL NFC Championship Game on Fox.

NBC Fall 2025 Premiere Dates; Fox Fall 2025 Premiere Dates

NBC will begin the 2025-26 season the week of Sept. 22 with a robust programming lineup that will feature the latest iteration of the iconic musical competition series The Voice, the return of the compelling Zachary Quinto drama series Brilliant Minds, the venerable Law & Order franchise and the finale of summer's #1 show, America's Got Talent. The Sept. 22 season premiere of The Voice will feature the all-star coaching panel of Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, Niall Horan and Snoop Dogg. A new champion will be crowned on America's Got Talent on Wednesday, Sept. 24 while an all-Law & Order lineup returns the next day, Thursday, Sept. 25.

The specials will serve as a celebration to the Universal film Wicked: For Good, which will open in theaters on Nov. 21. The returning drama The Hunting Party and newly ordered comedy series The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins and Stumble will be added to the 2025-26 schedule at a later date.

FOX sets the stage for the 2025-26 season, announcing premiere dates for a dynamic fall lineup of new and returning scripted, unscripted and animated series. The fall season kicks off with the fan-favorite musical guessing game Celebrity Name That Tune, hosted by Tony Award winner and Emmy Award nominee Jane Krakowski with Grammy Award-winning producer Randy Jackson serving as band leader, returning for another season starting Monday, Sept. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), followed by the series premiere of cutthroat game show Celebrity Weakest Link, hosted by Emmy Award winner Jane Lynch (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

The following week, the second season of the gripping medical drama Doc premieres Tuesday, Sept. 23 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) preceded by the season premiere of Murder in a Small Town (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). Television's #1 game show The Floor, hosted by Rob Lowe, begins its fourth season on Wednesday, Sept. 24 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), followed by the series premiere of new competition series 99 to Beat (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), hosted by Ken Jeong and Erin Andrews. On Thursday, Sept. 25, Hell's Kitchen (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) makes its Season 24 premiere, followed by the Season Four premiere of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).

The full iconic "FOX Animation Domination" block premieres Sunday, Sept. 28, with all-new seasons of The Simpsons (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), Universal Basic Guys (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), Krapopolis (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) and Bob's Burgers (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT).
