ION Television April 2010 Schedule; TV Land Announces A Bit More on 8th TV Land Awards
Emeril Lagasse is ready to show viewers that there's more to him than -- BAM! ION Television announced that Grammy-nominated saxophonist Dave Koz has been named the bandleader for its first original non-scripted series, The Emeril Lagasse Show. Viewers will feel like part of the celebration as they are welcomed to join Emeril's home-like set each week. Emeril, with the help of his band, led by Dave Koz, will welcome celebrity guests and musicians to break news and break bread as he shares his world, his friends and his passion for food with the studio and home audience.
The new weekly, entertainment television show featuring celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse will premiere on Sunday, April 18, at 8:00 PM, ET. The one-hour variety show combines Emeril's love of food, entertaining, music and fun as he gives new meaning to the term, "let the good times roll." Beginning on Sunday, April 25, previous week's episode will encore at 7:00 PM leading into the all-new episode!
In other ION Television April 2010 news, weekends will get more changes. ION Television will now program the weekend 11pm hour beginning April 3! On Saturdays in the 11pm hour they will air two episodes of My Name is Earl, as a result its 4-5pm Saturday airings will be replaced by a Movie. And because of that change, M*A*S*H won't regularly air in the 3-4pm hour on Saturdays. Not a big deal since M*A*S*H airs weekdays in the 4pm hour anyway. And on Sundays at 11pm, another episode of Ghost Whisperer will air. This will be its first weekend play on the network.
Movie wise, ION has the network premieres of Hitch (airing in a special primetime slot after the premiere of The Emeril Lagasse Show on April 18 at 9pm) and Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (also in a special timeslot on Saturday, May 1 at 9pm). Other movies airing in the month include Philadelphia, The Transporter, The Transporter 2, Daredevil, Elektra, Twisted, Demolition Man, and more!
