Week 17 TV Ratings and Analysis; How the Sitcoms Did

2016-17 Week 17 TV Ratings (first four nights Mon-Thu): 

Households: #1. CBS 4.21/7 rating/share (-20% in rating from first four nights week 16); #2. NBC  3.55/6 (-2%); #3. ABC 3.39/6 (-2%); #4. Fox 2.20/4 (-5%); #5. The CW 0.59/1 (+13%).
Total Viewers: #1. CBS 6.614 million (-23% from first four nights week 16); #2. NBC 5.628 million (-3%); #3. ABC 5.341 million (-3%); #4. Fox 3.495 million (-8%); #5. The CW 0.932 million (+15%).
Adults 18-49: #1. ABC 1.40/5 rating/share (-8% in rating from first four nights week 16); #2. NBC 1.36/5 (even); #3. CBS 1.09/4 (-23%); #4. Fox 1.04/4 (-11%); #5. The CW 0.25/1 (even)

We have previous week's final ratings, Week 16 (1/2/17-1/8/17, LIVE+SD). NBC won the week in A18-49, boosted by a prime NFL playoff game, and did a 2.79 rating.  Fox was #2 with a 1.94 rating, helped by playoff NFL overrun on Sunday.  ABC was #3 with a 1.31 rating, while CBS did a 1.18 rating.  Among total viewers, NBC was also #1 with 10.322 million, with CBS #2 at 7.921  million.  Fox was #3 with 6.115 million and ABC at #4 with 5.152 million.

For season to-date (9/19/16-1/12/17, LIVE+SD), NBC is 1 in A18-49 with a 2.28 rating, followed by Fox at #2 with a 1.68 rating, which is heavily inflated by a high 7-game World Series. CBS is  #3 with a 1.45 rating and ABC at #4 with a 1.26 rating. Among total viewers it is NBC is now #1 at 8.440 million, followed by CBS at #2 with 8.153 million, as NBC is up to #1 thanks to two NFL games a week. World Series boosted Fox still at #3 with 5.441 million but ABC at #4 is catching up with 5.336 million.
