Memorial Day Happy Days Marathon in The Big Apple; Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows (Week of May 27, 2013)

Sit on it! We have another major holiday coming up, so this means WLNY-TV 10/55 in New York will be airing a classic TV marathon! It's Memorial Day and it's time to get a little patriotic with the gang from Happy Days. The independent station will be airing a 12-hour marathon of the classic sitcom starting at 9am on Monday, May 27 - Memorial Day - ending at 9pm that evening. WLNY has previously aired marathons of I Dream of Jeannie, Taxi, The Odd Couple, The Munsters, Andy Griffith Show, and I Love Lucy on holidays already since launching this traditional last July. Now we have The Fonz, Richie and the Cunninghams to add to that impressive list! Set in 1950s and 1960s Milwaukee, the '70s ABC sitcom Happy Days tells the story of the Cunningham family - father Howard, mother Marion, son Richie and daughter Joanie. Howard owns a hardware store, while Marion stays at home. Richie's best friends are Potsie and Ralph. Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli is the local bad boy, riding a motorcycle and filling his days with fixing cars and dating girls. During the show's run, Richie leaves home to join the U.S. Army. Tune in starting at 9am on Memorial Day, New York! And we can't wait to find out what marathon will air on the 4th of July? Any suggestions? Chime in on Facebook! Come on back on Monday bright and early for more marathon news for Memorial Day.
