Summer Week 15 Sitcom Ratings; New Sitcoms On Cable This Week
Last Sunday Sitcoms (counts for week of Aug. 27-Sept. 2)
- The Simpsons (Fox) 2 airings - A repeat at 8pm did 2.41 million and a 1.0 18-49 rating, down seven tenths in 18-49 from previous week as it was Labor Day Weekend. A second repeat followed with 2.63 million and a 1.1 18-49 rating, also down seven tenths week-to-week.
- The Cleveland Show (Fox) - A repeat at 7:30pm posted 1.59 million and a 0.7 18-49 rating, down five tenths in 18-49 from the previous week. Labor Day Weekend is the culprit.
- Bob's Burgers (Fox) - preempted.
- Family Guy (Fox) 2 airings - A repeat at 9pm did 3.0 million and a 1.4 18-49 rating, which was down six tenths from the previous week. A second repeat at 9:30pm did 3.26 million and a 1.5 18-49 rating, but down four tenths week-to-week in 18-49.
- American Dad! (Fox) - A repeat at 7pm did just 1.4 million and a 0.6 18-49 rating.
- How I Met Your Mother (CBS) - A repeat did 4.55 million and a 1.4 18-49 rating, down a tenth in 18-49 from the previous week. Not too bad, but Sunday is the worst day of declines during a Labor Day weekend and not Monday itself.
- The Big Bang Theory (CBS) - A special repeat came in and jumped to 5.79 million and a 1.8 18-49 rating, great but down two tenths from previous week.
- 2 Broke Girls (CBS) - A repeat of this comedy at 9pm followed and posted 5.12 million and a 1.5 rating, down six tenths in 18-49 from the previous week. A bit alarming.
- Mike & Molly (CBS) - 4.6 million and a 1.2 18-49 rating for a repeat at 9:30pm, which was down four tenths in 18-49 from the previous week.
- The Middle (ABC) - The 8pm repeat did 3.35 million and a 0.8 18-49 rating, on par in 18-49 with the previous week again. OK, but not terrible.
- Last Man Standing (ABC) - A repeat of this sitcom followed with 2.64 million and a 0.7 18-49 rating, but down a tenth in 18-49 from previous week.
- Happy Endings (ABC) - A repeat at 9pm did 2.12 million and a 0.8 18-49 rating, which was up two tenths week-to-week. Also grew from the lead-in.
- Don't Trust the B---- In Apartment 23 (ABC) - A repeat at 9:30pm posted 1.76 million and a 0.6 18-49 rating, which was up a tenth from the previous week. Just some exposure for a series that only aired six episodes this past season.
- The Middle (ABC) - A repeat at 8pm did 3.94 million and a 1.0 rating, up a tenth from the previous week. Not bad vs. the NFL kick-off game.
- Suburgatory (ABC) 2 airings - A repeat at 8:30 posted 2.96 million and a 0.9 18-49 rating, down a tenth in 18-49 from previous week. A second repeat airing at 9:30pm generated 2.8 million and a 1.0 18-49 rating, also down a tenth week-to-week. This show could be big this fall at 9:30pm.
- Up All Night (NBC) - preempted.
- Modern Family (ABC) - A repeat at 9pm did 3.66 million and a 1.3 rating, on par with the previous week despite airings against the NFL season opener.
- The Big Bang Theory (CBS) - A repeat at 8 did 7.39 million and a 2.0 18-49 rating, up four tenths from the previous week in the key demo. Great for summer.
- Two and a Half Men (CBS) - A repeat at 8:30pm did 6.36 million and a 1.8 18-49 rating, up five tenths in 18-49 from the previous week. Good showing.
- The Office (NBC) - preempted.
- Parks and Recreation (NBC) - preempted.
- Raising Hope (Fox) - A Thursday repeat at 8pm did 1.93 million and a 0.7 18-49 rating, which was on par with previous week again.
- New Girl (Fox) - A Thursday repeat at 8:30pm did 1.68 million and a 0.7 18-49 rating, which isn't great and down a tenth in 18-49 week-to-week.
- Whitney (NBC) - preempted.
- Community (NBC) - preempted.
- Rules of Engagement (CBS) - preempted.
Summing it up. The repeats of The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, 2 Broke Girls, How I Met Your Mother were impressive for the week. Everything else was OK (such as repeats of Mike & Molly, Modern Family) or just plain old terrible (such as repeats of New Girl, Apartment 23).
