Week 29: How The Sitcoms Did
Monday Sitcoms
- Two and a Half Men (CBS) - A repeat at 8 p.m. in the east and after the NCAA game in the west did decent enough.
- The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS) - An all-new episode at a special time of 8:30 p.m. in the east and after the game and Men in the west did OK.
- One on One (UPN), All of Us (UPN), Girlfriends (UPN), Half and Half (UPN) - All reruns and dead last place.
Tuesday Sitcoms
- According to Jim (ABC) - Repeat got only did a 3.2/5.
- Hope & Faith (ABC) - All-new episode, but dropped from lead-in and that was a REPEAT.
- Sons & Daughters (ABC) 2 episodes - Sigh...great show, terrible ratings. The last two scheduled episodes did its worst yet.
- Scrubs (NBC) 2 episodes - New repeat time of 8:30 p.m. did terrible with a 2.5 rating, but the all-new episode at 9pm did better, but not good with a 3.9 rating.
- Teachers (NBC) - 3.7 rating for its second week.
Wednesday Sitcoms
- George Lopez (ABC) - 4.1 rating...should be slightly better than that since AI is not against it now.
- Freddie (ABC) - See above.
Thursday Sitcoms
- Everybody Hates Chris (UPN) - Repeat was at its normal level.
- Love, Inc. (UPN), Eve (UPN), Cuts (UPN) - Repeats that no one watches...
- Will & Grace (NBC) - New episode did decent with a 5.9 rating.
- My Name is Earl (NBC) 2 episodes - Repeat at 8:30 helped NBC a lot again; new episode at 9 did well but down from last week as CSI is back.
- Teachers (NBC) - Special night and time. Down big from Earl.
- That '70s Show (Fox) - 2.8 rating--ouch.
- The Loop (Fox) - Why is this still on?
Friday Sitcoms
Bernie Mac did bad for Fox. The WB has sitcoms on during the 9 p.m. hour of a repeat of Reba and a new Modern Men was dead last for The WB. Modern Men did a 1.2 rating.
Summing it up. Repeat of Two and a Half Men, a new The New Adventures of Old Christine, My Name is Earl were impressive for the week. Everything else was OK (such as Will & Grace and 8:30 p.m. Thurs repeat of My Name is Earl) or just plain old terrible (such as all the sitcoms that aired this past Tuesday on ABC and NBC, The Loop, That '70s Show, Bernie Mac, Modern Men). Terrible sitcom week...

Shifting Gears - "Dog" (ABC, 9:00PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
When Matt refuses to let Carter bring a dog into “his” house, Riley starts to wonder if it’s time for her and the kids to find their own place. Meanwhile, Gabe seeks Riley’s advice amid second thoughts about moving in with Amelie.
Shifting Gears - "Friend" (ABC, 9:30PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
Matt’s reunion with a high school friend stirs up more than nostalgia when he meets their equally opinionated spouse. Meanwhile, Riley spirals when Klatch gets a negative Yelp review. Tuc Watkins, Jim Rash and Jesse Williams guest star.
Shifting Gears - "License" (ABC, 10:00PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
When he finds out Carter’s getting driving lessons, Matt’s plan to prove he’s the better teacher hits a snag when he learns his license is expired. Meanwhile, Riley’s two worlds collide as she struggles to keep both her business and family afloat.
Shifting Gears - "Loyalty" (ABC, 10:30PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
Matt’s dream build turns into a nightmare when controversy between Stitch and the client threatens to derail everything. Meanwhile, Riley hires Carter at her coffee business and quickly learns that working with family brews more tension than drinks.

- Chris Pratt (Parks and Recreation) - Watch Chris on a repeat of Jimmy Kimmel Live! at 11:35pm on ABC.
- Dulcé Sloan (The Great North) - Dulcé is a guest on a repeat of Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen at 12:37am on CBS.
- Michael Urie (Shrinking/Krapopolis/Partners) - Michael talks about Shrinking on Live with Kelly and Mark, so check your local listings.
- Anthony Anderson (black-ish/Guys with Kids/All About the Andersons) - Anthony chats with the ladies of The View on ABC at 11am ET/10am CT-PT.
- Kim Fields (The Upshaws/Living Single/The Facts of Life/Baby, I'm Back) - Kim is back with the Tam Fam as she closes out a huge chapter as Regina Upshaw in Netflix's hit comedy The Upshaws on Tamron Hall, so check your local listings.
