New Game Show Block in the Works for Syndication; Bird Flu Movie?

Today has been very slow, so I am probably bringing some obscure news. You'd probably not see me mention any of these at all if it were a busy day.
B&C
is reporting that Distributor King World and producer Sony Pictures Television (SPT), longtime partners on the top-rated syndicated shows Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!, announced they are reuniting for a new one-hour game block set to debut in fall 2007. Details were sketchy late last week on the two 30-minute shows, although there was some industry buzz that one could be an original and another a classic game show. Harry Friedman, who for eight years has led Wheel and Jeopardy!, will develop and executive-produce them.

Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America follows an outbreak of an Avian Flu from its origins in a Hong Kong market through its mutation into a virus transmittable from human to human around the world. The meticulously researched film stars Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck), Stacy Keach (Prison Break, Blackbeard), Ann Cusack (Grey's Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer), Justina Machado (Six Feet Under), Scott Cohen (Street Time, Law & Order: Trial by Jury) and David Ramsey (All of Us).
Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America, a two-hour original movie, airs TUESDAY, MAY 9 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.

I promise tomorrow will be better. I'm expecting TV Land June!
