Apple TV's Bad Monkey Season 2 Drops December 2; Hulu's Jamie Foxx Comedy Special

Apple TV revealed first-look images from the second season of its acclaimed comedy Bad Monkey, starring and executive produced by Vince Vaughn and hailing from award-winning creator and executive producer Bill Lawrence. Based on Carl Hiaasen's New York Times bestselling novel and enduring cult favorite, the 10-episode sophomore season will revolve around an all-new original story, and will make its global debut on Apple TV with one episode on Wednesday, December 2, 2026, followed by one new episode every Wednesday through February 3, 2027.

After Andrew Yancy (Vaughn) witnesses the murder of Florida's finest fixer, an ambitious state attorney teams him up with a strait-laced forensic accountant to solve the crime. Eager to regain his detective’s badge, Yancy finds himself embroiled in a turf war between rival criminal organizations as he navigates a variety of Florida oddballs, including an erudite mob boss, his unhinged son, and a hard-edged young woman who needs Yancy’s protection. Meanwhile, Yancy contends with his aging father; unresolved romantic tension with Dr. Rosa Campensino (Martinez), who launches her own investigation into a mysterious rash; and a bombastic animal relocation specialist whose business threatens the local environment.

Season two is led by returning stars Vaughn, Natalie Martinez, Charlotte Lawrence and John Ortiz, alongside new additions John Malkovich, Yvonne Strahovski and Zavior Phillips. Guest starring are Nate Jackson, Sofia Boutella, Brent Morin, Joey Avery, Dax Shepard, Sam Jaeger, Margarita Levieva, Peter Billingsley and June Diane Raphael.

Hulu has announced the title and premiere date - along with first look photo - for the new Hularious Original Comedy special from Academy Award-winning acclaimed actor, comedian, singer, and producer Jamie Foxx. Jamie Foxx: Take Care of Yourself premieres October 7, 2026, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the US, and on Disney+ internationally.

Jamie Foxx only gets better with age. Jamie Foxx: Take Care of Yourself delivers a much-needed dose of self-care in his most honest, evolved, and unforgettable chapter yet. Jamie Foxx joins comedians as part of "Hularious" including Hannah Berner, Ralph Barbosa, Bill Burr, Chris Distefano, Jim Gaffigan, Zarna Garg, Nikki Glaser, Ilana Glazer, Jessica Kirson, Matteo Lane, Sebastian Maniscalco, Kumail Nanjiani, Atsuko Okatsuka, Frankie Quiñones, Andrew Santino and Roy Wood Jr.

Apple TV+ Bad Monkey Renewed for Season 2; Norman Lear's Clean Slate Comedy to Premiere on Prime Video in February

Apple's acclaimed hit comedy Bad Monkey lands season two renewal. Vince Vaughn to return in his broadly celebrated performance as Andrew Yancy in fan-favorite comedy from award-winning executive producer Bill Lawrence Based on Carl Hiaasen's New York Times bestselling novel and enduring cult favorite, the first season of Bad Monkey is now streaming globally on Apple TV+ Following its critically acclaimed and Rotten Tomatoes Certified Fresh first season, Apple's hit comedy series Bad Monkey, from award-winning executive producer Bill Lawrence, and starring and executive produced by actor, producer and screenwriter Vince Vaughn, has been renewed for a second season. The series tells the story of Andrew Yancy (Vaughn), who has been bounced from the Miami Police Department and is now a health inspector in the Keys. But after stumbling upon a case that begins with a human arm fished up by tourists, he realizes that if he can prove murder, he'll be back in. He just needs to get past a trove of Floridian oddballs and one bad monkey.

The season one ensemble cast also includes L. Scott Caldwell ("The Fugitive"), Rob Delaney ("Catastrophe"), Meredith Hagner ("Search Party"), Natalie Martinez ("Ordinary Joe," "Reminiscence"), Alex Moffat ("Saturday Night Live," "Holidate"), Michelle Monaghan ("Gone Baby Gone"), Ronald Peet ("First Reformed") and Jodie Turner-Smith ("Queen & Slim"), with special guest stars John Ortiz ("American Fiction"), Zach Braff ("Scrubs"), Ashley Nicole Black ("Ted Lasso"), Scott Glenn ("The Leftovers") and Charlotte Lawrence in her television debut.

Prime Video announced that the upcoming comedy series Clean Slate will debut all eight episodes on Thursday, February 6, 2025. Starring four-time Emmy(R)-nominated actress Laverne Cox and legendary comedian George Wallace, the series will stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. This heartfelt comedy follows Harry (Wallace), an old-school car wash owner in Alabama who has a lot of soul searching to do when the child he once called "son" returns after 17 years as a proud trans woman named Desiree (Cox). Her homecoming brings together a hilarious cast of friends, coworkers, and love interests as Desiree and Harry try to get it right the second time around. The series explores universal themes of unconditional love, all through Norman Lear's signature boundary-pushing brand of comedy.

Cox of Laverne Cox Productions, Wallace, and Dan Ewen (Dear Santa, Playing with Fire) are creators and executive producers of the series. Emmy(R) winners Norman Lear (Act III Productions) and Brent Miller executive produce the series. Ewen co-showruns the series with Executive Producer Simran Baidwan. Paul Hilepo is a producer. Also joining the cast are Telma Hopkins, D.K. Uzoukwu, Jay Wilkison, and Norah Murphy. Clean Slate is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.

A two-part documentary about the comedic icon Mel Brooks is currently in production from HBO Documentary Films and Apatow Productions. Emmy®-winners Judd Apatow (HBO's Emmy®-winning The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling) and Michael Bonfiglio are directing with Joe Beshenkovsky editing. The project reunites the trio after their last creative collaboration on HBO's Emmy®-winning documentary George Carlin’s American Dream. Kevin Salter serves as executive producer. An expansive yet intimate look at one of comedy’s most hilarious and influential minds, whose work has had audiences around the world laughing for more than 70 years.

HBO has given a 10-episode, straight-to-series order for a new half-hour comedy starring and executive produced by eleven-time Emmy® Award nominee Steve Carell (The Office). Emmy®-winner Bill Lawrence (Ted Lasso, Shrinking, Cougar Town, Scrubs) and Emmy®-nominee Matt Tarses (Scrubs, The Goldbergs, Sports Night) will write the first episode and executive produce the upcoming Warner Bros. Television seriess. A single-camera comedy set on a college campus, centering on an author's complicated relationship with his daughter. The untitled project is executive produced by Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold, and Liza Katzer of Doozer Productions and Matt Tarses. The series is produced by Doozer in association with Warner Bros. Television, where both Doozer and Tarses are under overall deals. Starring and executive produced by Steve Carell. The first episode is written by Bill Lawrence and Matt Tarses.
