Tom Bergeron Guest Stars on American Auto on March 1; Russian Doll Returns This Spring on Netflix
One of the best hosts on television is coming to a sitcom to host a charity
dinner. It was previously reported that Tom Bergeron is set to guest star on
NBC's American Auto, but now we know when he will appear! He will guest
star on the penultimate episode of the freshman comedy airing Tuesday, March 1
at 8:00pm ET/PT in the episode titled "Charity Dinner." Bergeron will play
himself and emcee a charity dinner in Detroit for Payne Motors. It's the 9th
episode of American Auto, which has its season finale a week later on
March 8. Bergeron also has Tic-Tac-Dough, a game show pilot shot for
NBCUniversal, that could be a player for them in 2022-23, whether in primetime
or syndication. The pilot hasn't been ordered to series just yet, but in the
meantime, catch the very likeable Tom Bergeron on NBC's American Auto on
March 1 at 8|7c.
From the creator of Superstore comes a workplace comedy that takes the
wheels off the automobile industry. Set in Detroit, the corporate executives of
Payne Motors are at a crossroads: adapt to the changing times or be sent to the
junkyard. Shaking things up is the new CEO, whose leadership, experience and
savvy is only slightly offset by her complete lack of knowledge about cars.
Luckily, her team has some of the best minds in the business - when they aren't
fighting or trying to outwit each other. From the corporate office to the
factory floor, the crew of Payne Motors is driving home the laughs. Starring Ana
Gasteyer, Jon Barinholtz, Harriet Dyer, Humphrey Ker, Michael Benjamin
Washington, Tye White and X Mayo.
Netflix comedy Russian Doll is returing for season 2...this spring! No exact
premiere date has been announced just yet. Set four years after Nadia (Natasha
Lyonne) and Alan (Charlie Barnett) escaped mortality's time loop together,
season two of Russian Doll will continue to explore existential thematics
through an often humorous and sci-fi lens. Discovering a fate even worse than
endless death, this season finds Nadia and Alan delving deeper into their pasts
through an unexpected time portal located in one of Manhattan's most notorious
locations. At first they experience this as an ever-expanding, era-spanning,
intergenerational adventure but they soon discover this extraordinary event
might be more than they bargained for and, together, must search for a way out.
The Emmy-winning show returns with Lyonne serving as showrunner and executive
producer, and is also executive produced by Alex Buono, Amy Poehler (Paper Kite
Productions), Leslye Headland, Lilly Burns (Jax Media), Tony Hernandez (Jax
Media), Dave Becky (3 Arts), Kate Arend (Paper Kite Productions), Regina Corrado
and Allison Silverman.
