SitcomsOnline Digest: TheGrio.TV to Launch in January; True Blood Reboot in the Works

Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! This week, we're hearing about a new digital network that will replace an old one (on stations that choose to do so, anyway), a True Blood reboot, and more. Let's get going!

  • LIGHTtv is about to be replaced with TheGrio.TV, an African American oriented network that will feature movies, sitcoms, dramas, news, and more, although it seems that LIGHTtv may continue to exist in an online form. (TheGrio)
  • One Day at a Time is officially done. (Deadline)
  • True Blood has been off the air for an entire seven years, so of course we're already talking about a reboot. (TVLine)
  • CBS is developing a new drama about teachers, called Teachable. (Deadline) 
  • A trio of comedy pilots at NBC are going nowhere. (Deadline)
  • Philadelphia is going to be sunny for four more seasons, at least. (SitcomsOnline)
