New Year's Eve 2020 and New Year's Day 2021 TV Marathons

Welcome to a special New Year's style edition of the News Blog! As we (finally) end 2020 and start 2021, today we will give you a marathon recap on TV for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day! Some of the major TV stunts include Antenna TV's Three's Company New Year's Eve Bash Marathon starting at 8pm through 5am on New Year's Eve. Then on New Year's Day, AnTENna TV turns 10! Celebrate TV how it was meant to be with "AnTENna TV's Birthday Blowout" marathon of shows from Antenna TV's ten years of classic sitcoms. Since October, Antenna TV fans have cast their votes in Top Ten polls from favorite Antenna TV shows to catchphrases, theme songs, child stars, and more. All will be revealed on January 1 with a marathon of the Top Ten Favorite Shows and the rest of the voters' choices. Tune in from 12pm-10pm on New Year's Day! COZI TV says good riddance to 2020 and welcomes in 2021. Starting at 4 p.m. on New Year's Eve tune in to watch memorable goodbyes and farewells of Little House and the Prairie, The Munsters, Frasier, Roseanne and The Nanny. Then get a fresh start at 6 a.m. on New Year's Day, for the all-day New Year's marathon "The Firsts for the First," to watch where it all began for the hilarious casts of The Nanny and Roseanne. BUZZR rings in the new year with Match Game! It's BUZZR's BLANK in the New Year! 2021 is looking extra bright as America's favorite retro game show network kicks-off the start of a new year with 6 new Match Game episodes! The party gets going on New Year's Eve at 8:00p ET and features a whole string of Match Game episodes spotlighting your favorite gang of 70's celebrity panelists!
Syfy has its 25th annual Twilight Zone New Year's Eve and Day marathon that starts New Year's Eve at 6am continuing through the first few days of the new year. IFC will have a Three's Company New Year's Day marathon from 2pm-12am, with various sitcom blocks on New Year's Eve. WPIX in New York will of course have their annual The Honeymooners marathon starting at 11pm on New Year's Eve through 5pm on New Year's Day (with a break for news in the morning from 4:30am-9am). Also in New York City, WLNY-TV 55/10 will have a marathon of The Odd Couple once again starting at 10pm on New Year's Eve night through 9pm on New Year's Day for the 9th straight year.
TV One has a New Year's Eve marathon of One on One starting at 9am through 3am, followed by a New Year's Day marathon of In Living Color also from 6am-3am. TV Land will go with multiple marathons on New Year's Eve with M*A*S*H from 9am-2pm, The Andy Griffith Show from 2pm-8pm and The King of Queens from 8pm-3am. Then on New Year's Day, it's 3 more shows: The Golden Girls from 9am-2pm, The Andy Griffith Show from 2pm-8pm and Everybody Loves Raymond from 8pm-3am. FXX will air nothing but The Simpsons on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day starting at 1pm on NYE and ending at 11:59pm on NYD. Comedy Central ends the year with a South Park marathon from 9am-5am and then starts the year with The Office on New Year's Day from 9am-8pm. E! will air every episode of drama Las Vegas starting at 1pm on New Year's Eve lasting through Jan. 5 at 11pm. USA Network has a Law & Order: SVU Resolve to Watch New Year's Eve and Day marathon starting at 8am on New Year's Eve. Other notable marathons on New Year's Eve include Quantum Leap marathon on Comet, Chicago P.D. on ION, more Twilight Zone on Decades, Law & Order marathon on Sundance, Little House on the Prairie marathon on UPtv, Dateline: Secrets Uncovered marathon on Oxygen and a Doctor Who marathon on BBC America that has already started and runs through 6am on Jan. 2.
It won't be the end of the year and the start of the year without ABC's Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2021 special on New Year's Eve from 8pm-10pm, followed by its annual specials at 10pm and 11:30pm. NBC and Fox air their own New Year's Eve specials hosted by Carson Daly and Ken Jeong/Joel McHale, respectively. Movie wise, AMC, TNT, Freeform and many others will air movies on New Year's Day, while Hallmark Channel continues to air Christmas movies on New Year's Eve. CBS presents The Neighborhood: A Farewell Special, an Entertainment Tonight production, airing Monday, April 6 (8:30-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+. Hosted by Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier and filmed on location on The Neighborhood's stages, the special celebrates the acclaimed CBS comedy's final season, honoring eight seasons, 156 episodes, and eight unforgettable years of laughter, heart and community, leading up to the series finale on May 11.
