Adult Swim's First Sitcom Launches Feb. 1; Guest Stars Galore on YouTube Comedy

Adult Swim, the #1 cable destination for young adults, will premiere Tropical Cop Tales, an all-new live action comedy series that follows two burnt-out city cops, Keymarion "Primetime" Weeyums (Dominique Witten, Kevin Hart's Guide to Black History) and Demetrius "Meechie" Franks (Ted Ferguson, Between Heaven and Earth) when they relocate to a tropical paradise for a relaxing twilight to their careers. Unfortunately, it is the most un-relaxing place on earth and their Captain (Carl Solomon, The Greasy Strangler) is a champion shouter. Bring earplugs babe yeah? Tropical Cop Tales premieres with back to back episodes on Friday, February 1 at Midnight and 12:15am ET/PT on Adult Swim. A preview of the live action comedy is below:

YouTube revealed the full list of guest stars for Weird City, a half-hour sci-fi comedy co-created by Academy Award and Emmy Award winning writer Jordan Peele and Emmy Award nominated writer Charlie Sanders (Key and Peele). The six-episode series will debut exclusively on YouTube Premium on February 13, 2019. The all-star list of special appearances includes Sara Gilbert (The Conners, The Talk), Dylan O'Brien (Maze Runner Franchise, Teen Wolf), Ed O'Neill (Modern Family), Rosario Dawson (Luke Cage), Michael Cera (Arrested Development, Superbad), Laverne Cox (Orange Is The New Black), and LeVar Burton (Star Trek) along with Awkwafina (Crazy Rich Asians, Ocean's Eight), Yvette Nicole Brown (Community), Auli'i Cravalho (Moana), Trevor Jackson (grown-ish, Superfly), Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead, Sorry To Bother You), Eugene Cordero (Kong: Skull Island), Gillian Jacobs (Community, Love), Hannah Simone (New Girl), Malcolm Barrett (Timeless, Preacher) and Mark Hamill (Star Wars).

Weird City is an anthology set in the not-too-distant future metropolis of Weird. Told through the prism of sci-fi and comedy, each episode is an exploration of issues that pertain to present day life. Emmy winner Adam Bernstein (Fargo, Scrubs, 30 Rock), directed the first two episodes. Amy Heckerling (Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Clueless), and Tricia Brock (The Walking Dead, 30 Rock) each directed two episodes.
