Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows; This Week in Sitcoms (Week of June 5, 2017)

Now that the TV season is over, we are ending our weekly TV ratings and analysis due to declining interest. Thanks to Pavan for his dedication bringing us the ratings every week for the past 12 seasons. We'll continue to have some occasional news stories about ratings during the week.

Our "Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows" moves to Sundays. We are pleased to add a new feature called "This Week in Sitcoms" where we'll take a look ahead at the sitcoms airing on the broadcast and cable networks. The daily talk show and schedule listings can be found below each blog post and on the main page of Sitcoms Online.


It's Sunday, so it is time for "Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows" for the coming week. This is where we list what sitcom stars are appearing on talk shows for the coming week, the stars are both current and past sitcom stars, so this is for all sitcom fans of all eras!

The annual Easter egg hunt always brings out the competitive sides of Bob and Linda, but this time, the game goes awry. After the Belcher parents have a little too much fun hiding the eggs, the entire family is enlisted in finding the lone egg that is quickly rotting in its hiding place.

The Last Man on Earth - "Mama's Hideaway" (Fox, 7:30PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
Carol is hell-bent on capturing the perfect family photo and will stop at nothing to get it. Meanwhile, Melissa has a surprising mission of her own, Lewis looks into a new hobby and Gail finds herself stuck in a scary situation.

The Simpsons - "22 for 30" (Fox, 8:00PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
In this parody of a cable sports show, Bart goes from delinquent with detention to the star basketball player at Springfield Elementary. Lisa covers Bart’s success for the school paper, and Homer becomes the team’s coach. Things go awry when Bart gets involved with the mafia.

Nan meets Eric, (guest star Timothy Odmundson) an attractive dog owner who appears to be the older, more successful version of Jason, and enlists his help with Martin, secretly hoping to score a date. But when Martin spends time with Eric’s well-trained dog, it thrusts Martin into a crisis of self-confidence.

The Middle - "Hoosier Maid" (ABC, 8:30PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
Frankie is ecstatic when she wins free maid service for a month. But the Heck house turns out to be quite the frustrating challenge to clean. Amy's (America Ferrera) daughter Emma (Isabella Day) is without childcare and has to come to the store for the day. Unfortunately, this is against store policy, so when Glenn (Mark McKinney) pulls Amy away to help him with a task, Jonah (Ben Feldman) has to keep Amy's secret and an eye on Emma. Elsewhere Mateo (Nico Santos) and Cheyenne (Nichole Bloom) fight over a couch that is on sale because an elderly man passed away on it and Dina (Lauren Ash) tries to catch a shoplifter.

Nightcap - "Out of the Box" (Pop, 8:00PM ET/PT)
The crew adjusts to its new studio next to Dr. Oz's; the network sends a new staff member, Davis Maxfield, to do the exact same job as Staci; Davis tells Staci to bump actress Julianna Margulies in favor of a YouTube ``unboxing'' star.

Nightcap - "Out of the Box" (Pop, 8:30PM ET/PT)
Alec and Hilaria Baldwin go out of their way to be empathetic when Staci reveals she had a minor cancerous mole removed; Staci confuses their kindness as sexual interest and propositions them for a threesome.

Christy and Bonnie worry that Roscoe has a drug problem when Baxter and Candace catch him smoking pot.

Life in Pieces - "Boxing Opinion Spider Beard" (CBS, 9:30PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
John’s plan to encourage Samantha to skip her ballet class and take up boxing with his trainer, Troy (Victor Ortiz), behind her mother Heather’s back has unexpected consequences. Also, Jen tries to discreetly seek a second opinion when Tim tells her she needs tonsil surgery; Joan constantly scares Matt by hiding spiders around him; and Greg grows a wiry beard that irritates Jen.

Saturday, June 10

The Thundermans - "Super Dupers" (Nickelodeon, 8:00PM ET/PT)
After Max is dumped, Phoebe tries to cheer him up by introducing him to another girl. However, Max’s date turns out to be an intense animal activist, who steals Dr. Colosso when she sees Max’s “cruel” treatment of him.

Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn - "Quad for Teacher" (Nickelodeon, 8:30PM ET/PT)
When Dawn and Mae get summer jobs at the Boulderly Hills Country Club, they come face to face with the boys who have weaseled their way in to try to ruin their perfect summer and with Madison, aka “The But-ter” their nemesis.

After finding a mysterious note left by Melissa that says “Goodbye,” the gang sets off to go look for her. Meanwhile, Gail gets stuck on a solo adventure of her own.

Worried that Bart is destined for failure, Marge turns to a series of parenting “experts” for advice. Homer decides to cash in on one expert’s advice by opening up a trophy store in Springfield. Bob's Burgers - "Into the Mild" (Fox, 8:30PM ET/PT)
When Bob finds out that the nearby wildness equipment store is having a going out of business sale, he decides to finally realize his dream of becoming an outdoorsman. In true Bob fashion, he encounters a snafu that leaves him stuck in the store overnight to fend for himself. Meanwhile, Linda and the kids spend the night watching the rehearsal for Aunt Gayle’s (guest star Megan Mullally) one-woman show.
