HOME MEDIA HIGHLIGHTS

Simpsons executive producer Al Jean had a piece of news that is certain to outrage some fans of The Simpsons and TV on DVD in general, as it was reported this week that Fox has decided to end their releases the series on DVD and Blu-ray. It is worth noting that the release of the first season of this series in 2001 was a major moment in TV on DVD history, as it marked the first time that a broadcast network comedy had been released in a season form (although HBO had a few releases that predated that one). The studio has not confirmed the ending of the DVDs.
The Crazy Ones didn't last long on CBS, but Fox has released every episode of it as a MOD release this week, in The Crazy Ones - The Complete First Season.
Fox is releasing American Dad - Volume 10 on May 19, also as a MOD release.

Who to Follow: Eden Sher (Twitter)

Claim to Fame: Eden Sher got her start by appearing on commercials and a short film, but her first recurring TV role came in the second season of the Showtime series Weeds, where she played the role of Gretchen, Shane's girlfriend. Following that role, she had a recurring role on the mostly forgotten ABC comedy series Sons & Daughters. She had a few other guest roles along the way, but now, she is mostly known for her portrayal of Sue Heck on the ABC series The Middle.
