i Network November Sees 'Growing Pains'; TV Land Picks Up 'High School Reunion' For All-New Episodes

Growing Pains was supposed to join the i Network line-up in late September but they decided to put Charlie's Angels on instead, but remember we said that Growing Pains was coming soon? Well soon has now come, because i Network announced their November line-up to us and it is indeed coming in November, with a weekend marathon! The weekend marathon will be a part of i Network's marathon-filled Thanksgiving weekend. On Thanksgiving night (November 23), i Network will devote its entire evening to Mama's Family from 6-11 p.m., then the next day (November 24) they will air Charlie's Angels from 6 to 11 p.m. and then on Saturday (November 25) from 8:30-11 p.m. and Sunday (November 26) from 6-11 p.m. they will air a launch marathon for Growing Pains. Now fans can show us that smile! Then a few changes will happen to the weekday line-up starting Monday, November 27. Growing Pains will air weeknights at 8 & 8:30 p.m., while Mama's Family moves to Mon-Thurs at 6 & 6:30 p.m. Which means Green Acres is off the line-up starting then. No idea yet if it will return in December or not. Other changes in November include movies will return to Saturdays from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. No more Saturday marathons (just the Growing Pains one on Nov. 25)
And as a reminder, don't forget Amen launches in the Mon-Thurs 7 & 7:30 p.m. slot on October 27 while Welcome Back, Kotter takes 7 & 7:30 p.m. on Fridays starting THIS Friday. We will of course keep you up to date on any changes and additions! Come on back!

TV Land has announced it has picked up High School Reunion for all-new episodes. TV Land has revived the reality series, which ran for three seasons on the WB, greenlighting six new episodes from executive producer Mike Fleiss (The Bachelor), Variety reports. Hour-long series takes a group of former classmates and brings them together several years after graduation to participate in a reunion in a fantasy location. Production begins early next year for a premiere in the third or fourth quarter. While on the WB, the series focused on a 10-year reunion of alumni in their late 20s and early 30s. As such, the show played especially well to the younger 18-34 and 12-34 demos coveted by the WB. For TV Land, the series will host 20-year+ reunions in order to better appeal to the cabler's older demos.
Honestly, this is a very strange pick-up to me. They should make classic TV reunions, not real people's high school reunions. Just my take.
