Cheers Back in NYC; Archie Bunker's Place DVD Sooner Than Expected?

WPIX is bringing in even more classic TV! This time they will bring back the classic NBC sitcom from the '80s, Cheers! Cheers will start next week airing Tues-Sat mornings at 3:30 a.m. ET replacing the encore of The WB11 News at 10. Cheers will have back-to-back episodes of The Jeffersons as its lead-in. This marks a return for Cheers on WPIX. They have aired the show for many years and now it is back. You can still catch it nationally on TV Land every night at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT, if you are not in NYC.

A few weeks back we brought you an exclusive that Sony would be releasing Archie Bunker's Place on DVD sometime in 2006. Well, now Video Business Magazine has confirmed that and has mentioned a January 31 date! That is WAY earlier than I had expected. All in the Family Season 5 is out on January 3, so Archie Bunker's Place Season 1 will be out a few weeks after that! This is wonderful news and you can read the information on this at TVShowsonDVD.com. No word yet if Maude Season 1 is on that date, too, as originally the plan was to pair Archie and Maude up. Hopefully that is still the case? If not, we can still expect Maude sometime in 2006.

Joyce hosts a ribbon-cutting for the birthing center; Matt and Serena take on an awkward assignment; Ron tries to knock out a quick physical before his fishing trip.

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins - "The World Is Full of Beaks" (NBC, 8:30PM ET/PT)
Tobin tries to keep his personal life separate from the documentary, but Reggie doesn't make it easy for him; Monica helps Brina with her music career.
