2023 90s Con Recap in Hartford; Bel-Air Gets Season 3 on Peacock

90s Con

That's 4 Entertainment (the people who bring us Christmas Con every year in NJ) had its 2nd Annual 90s Con this weekend (March 17-19) at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT. We had a reporter down there to let us know what happened! We had full or partial reunions from various '90s TV shows, movies and music. Sitcom reunions included Saved by the Bell, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Full House, along with classic dramas Beverly Hills 90210, Charmed and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The casts did autograph signings, photo ops and Q&A panels. Among the other cool things fans got to see at the event: They had a slime pit to be "slimed" like Double Dare. They had a table area of a bunch of Nintendo64 machines hooked up to large screens to play nostalgic video games. They had 90s iconic photo ops like the TV, phone booth, newspaper stand, etc. There was a popular 90s cosplay contest. Another cool sighting was iconic movie vehicles including a replica Jurassic Park jeep and the Scooby Doo mystery machine (is that '90s though?). A 90s DJ booth was playing 90s music for fans. There were tons of booths selling 90s nostalgic toys, art, and items. And to close the day, there was a 90s dance party after party Saturday night.

The stars that were on hand were Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, Rose McGowan, Brian Krause, Dorian Gregory, Drew Fuller, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Dave Coulier, Andrea Barber, Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Elisa Donovan, Breckin Meyer, Kel Mitchell, Lori Beth Denberg, Danny Tamberelli, Danica McKellar, Olivia d'Abo, Melissa Joan Hart, Caroline Rhea, Beth Broderick, Jenna Leigh Green, Nate Richert, Kathy Najimy, Thora Birch, Omri Katz, Vinessa Shaw, Jason Marsden, Mario Lopez, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Elizabeth Berkley, Steve Burns, Marc Summers, Jeff Timmons, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, James Masters, Charisma Carpenter, Clare Kramer, Julie Benz, Kristine Sutherland, Marc Blucas, and Rebecca Gayheart.

Last year they had the cast of Family Matters and Boy Meets World on hand, but not this year. Will they return in 2024? How about other popular '90s shows like Step by Step and Perfect Strangers next time? While Hartford gets '90s Con next March, there will be one in Tampa in September of this year. Christmas Con will get a Kansas City version this June before returning to Edison, NJ in December. Stay tuned as we will be on hand for the NJ one once again later this year!

90s Con - Double Dare

Bel-Air

Peacock's record-breaking drama series Bel-Air has been renewed for a third season. Inspired by Morgan Cooper's lauded short film, Bel-Air is a modern-day reimagining of the iconic culture-defining '90s sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Following its launch on Peacock last year as the streamer's most-watched original premiere, Bel-Air is once again breaking records on the platform as Peacock's most-watched original sophomore series to date. Bel-Air is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group and Westbrook Studios. Carla Banks Waddles serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer. New episodes stream Thursdays through April 27. Season two stars Jabari Banks, Adrian Holmes, Cassandra Freeman, Olly Sholotan, Coco Jones, Akira Akbar, Jimmy Akingbola, Jordan L. Jones and Simone Joy Jones. Season two saw the return of Tatyana Ali, who played the original Ashley Banks from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and makes a recurring guest star appearance.

Who to Follow: Johnny Pemberton (Twitter), "zorn's son. listen to my show here: "
Claim to Fame: Our "star of the new sitcoms" this week comes from Fox's unconventional animated/live-action hybrid sitcom, Son of Zorn. The series was set to debut on September 25 (when the rest of the Fox Sunday night lineup debuts), but now the first episode has been scheduled for tomorrow night, meaning you'll get a chance to see it two weeks earlier than expected. Johnny Pemberton, as he describes in his Twitter description, plays Alan, the son of the title character. Even though he plays a teenager (as he has in previous roles, such as his role on the ABC series Family Tools), he is not a teenager at all. In fact, he is 35 years old, but one of the "side effects" of a rare disease he once had was a youthful look that makes him appear to be 15-20 years younger than he actually is, giving him a distinctive advantage that he doesn't seem to mind at all in playing roles of younger people. Most recently, he could be seen on episodes of the NBC comedy Superstore. While he isn't busy acting, he can be seen doing stand up comedy.

Late-night television host, writer, and producer Jimmy Kimmel teams with Banijay Studios North America to produce. Big Fan is based on the hilarious "Who Knows...?" the celebrity vs. super-fan game segment that originally aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The segment became a viral video success when pop star Katy Perry went up against one of her biggest fans in this hilarious challenge. Each episode of the half-hour, studio-based game show will feature one celebrity and three of his or her biggest super fans. The super fans will go head-to-head to see who knows more about the episode's featured celebrity. The succeeding super fan will move on to the final round in an ultimate showdown, celebrity vs. super fan, to see who knows most about the celebrity. If the super fan wins, their prize is a priceless experience with the celebrity they admire most. No premiere date as been set, so stay tuned for that.

Dawson's Creek Moving Timeslots Next Month on ABC Family; TV Land Developing Comedy Pilot From Melissa McCarthy

Dawson's Creek

Last week we mentioned ABC Family was moving Buffy, the Vampire Slayer to mornings effective this week, but now Dawson's Creek will also move to mornings. Just not immediately. It will move to mornings starting Monday, Aug. 31...so you have a full month before the change. Starting Aug. 31 Dawson's Creek will replace That '70s Show in the weekdays at 8am timeslot, following Buffy at 7am. Dawson's afternoon slot of 12 noon will be filled with more Gilmore Girls at 12pm, as that series will air back-to-back at 11am and 12pm for now. These changes come Aug. 31 mean that That '70s Show is off the line-up. There will be more schedule changes to come in September, including a new addition to the line-up, when ABC Family launches its fall 2015 schedule and we will give that to you very soon...so stay tuned!

TV Land

TV Land has closed a deal for a pilot script with Emmy(R) Award winner and Oscar(R) nominee Melissa McCarthy and acclaimed comedic actor/director Ben Falcone, serving as executive producers through their production company On The Day. The single-camera comedy, tentatively titled Friends with Melissa, is written, executive produced and inspired by the real lives of Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf and Rachel Ramras (Mike Tyson Mysteries), who watched as their friends from The Groundlings went on to star in blockbuster comedies and win Oscars, while they toiled away writing for children's television. Melissa McCarthy will appear in the pilot episode. This project is one of several in development for TV Land, along with the recently announced I Shudder starring Hamish Linklater and produced by Dan Jinks and Paul Rudnick, and the untitled John Wells/John Riggi/Warner Horizon Television project inspired by the life of Kyle Richards (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills).

ABC Family Moves Buffy to Mornings; FXX Schedules Final Season of The League and 2nd Season of You're the Worst

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Starting on Monday (July 27) ABC Family will make some last minute schedule changes to its line-up. Buffy the Vampire Slayer will move to 7am replacing That '70s Show Monday-Friday until further notice, but That '70s Show will remain from 8-9am. Boy Meets World will replace The Middle Monday-Friday from 1-2pm, as The Middle replaces Reba Monday-Friday from 3-4pm (so The Middle is now 2-4pm). Why because Reba replaces Buffy the Vampire Slayer Monday-Friday at 5pm. Reba will now air 4-6pm. No reason for the changes, but it looks like Buffy might have underperformed in the ratings at 5pm, so it will move to 7am. Fellow recently added series Dawson's Creek will remain at 12 noon following Gilmore Girls at 11am, as they seem to be doing well together. No shows will be leaving the line-up with these changes, though.

The League You're the Worst

FXX is the destination for comedy this fall with the seventh and final season of its hit comedy series The League and the second season of the acclaimed comedy You're the Worst. Season seven of The League will premiere on FXX on Wednesday, September 9 at 10 PM e/p, immediately followed by the second season of You're the Worst at 10:30 PM e/p. To be a fan of FXX's The League, you don't need to know much about fantasy football, or sports at all. You just need to have friends that you hate. The ensemble comedy follows a group of old friends in a fantasy football league who care very deeply ... about beating each other for bragging rights. You're the Worst is a modern look at love and happiness told through the eyes of two people who haven't been very successful with either. It's the story of Gretchen and Jimmy, fear, heartbreak, romance, sex, food, Los Angeles, Sunday Funday, friendship, and the fact that sometimes the worst people make the best partners.

ABC Family Acquires Dawson's Creek and Buffy the Vampire Slayer; Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows (Week of June 1, 2015)

Dawson's Creek Buffy the Vampire Slayer

ABC Family has acquired two very popular teen dramas. And the dramas are... Dawson's Creek and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Both shows were staples of The WB in the late 90s and will begin airing on ABC Family in reruns on Monday, June 22, 2015. Dawson's Creek will air at 12pm Monday-Friday following Gilmore Girls, while Buffy the Vampire Slayer will air at 5pm Monday-Friday. Dawson's Creek is replacing one airing of Gilmore Girls and Buffy the Vampire Slayer is replacing an hour of Boy Meets World, but that show will remain from 6-7pm and 12-2am on weeknights. ABC Family is not making any other changes to its line-up besides these two hours. Dawson's Creek has been on cable before like on TBS and The N (now called TeenNick), while Buffy the Vampire Slayer has been on multiple networks recently (like FX, Pivot and Logo).

Dawson's Creek of course aired from 1998-2003 on The WB and starred James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson and Michelle Williams. Buffy the Vampire Slayer aired on The WB from 1997 to 2001 and then UPN from 2001 to 2003 and among the stars were Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicholas Brendon, Alyson Hannigan, Charisma Carpenter, Anthony Stewart Head, David Boreanaz and Seth Green. Keep it right here for continued updates on these two shows and all things ABC Family.

TV Guide Cheers & Jeers Issue

TV Guide Magazine highlights the highs and lows of television in the annual year-end "Cheers & Jeers" issue, which hits newsstands tomorrow (December 19). The 2013 cover and calendar insert were designed by iconic artist Peter Max, who has shared a 4-decade long relationship with TV Guide Magazine. The cover reflects the vibrancy and style for which Max is famous, adorned by television's most recognizable faces. Max also designed TV Guide Magazine covers in 1988, 1992 and 2001. TV Guide Magazine introduces two new and exciting distinctions in the year-end edition: TV Star of the Year, awarded to Scandal star Kerry Washington and Producer of the Year, awarded to Mark Burnett, whose hit series The Voice drew top ratings in 2013. Washington received Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nominations for her role as Olivia Pope, making 2013 a break out year for the actress. Burnett's Survivor was just renewed for seasons 29 and 30. His epic 10-part miniseries The Bible drew 13.1 million viewers for History Channel and Friday night staple Shark Tank regularly wins the night in the ratings.

In a year of amazing TV moments from Breaking Bad's series finale to Miley Cyrus' antics at the VMAs to Michael Douglas as Liberace in Behind the Candelabra, TV Guide Magazine's Cheers & Jeers covered it all. As a salute to the best and worst of the year's television, Cheers & Jeers is one of the magazine's most popular annual editions. Always a fan favorite is Senior Critic Matt Roush's Top 10 shows of the year. This year Roush championed both old (Breaking Bad) and new (Orange is the New Black) in his list. 2013 also marked the 60th Anniversary of TV Guide Magazine. To celebrate, special "Top 60" lists have been published throughout the year. As a final nod to this milestone anniversary, TV Guide Magazine editors ranked the 60 Best TV Series of all time, with HBO's The Sopranos coming in at #1. Seinfeld sits in second place. I Love Lucy, All in the Family, The Twilight Zone, The Wire, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, M*A*S*H*, Breaking Bad and The Simpsons round out the top 10.

FX Fall 2013 Schedule with Buffy and Ellen; Sabrina the Teenage Witch Now on MTV2

Ellen

It's day four of our look at the fall 2013 cable and digital TV schedules, and today we will bring you the FX fall schedule. They will be actually adding some older series for a change. Starting Tuesday, Sept. 3, FX turns back the clock and brings back a series that they aired before -- Buffy the Vampire Slayer! The hit Sarah Michelle Gellar drama will air every morning (seven days a week) at 7am & 8am (unless a movie preempts an airing), as it returns for the first time on FX since 2008. Even more surprising is the next acquisition. FX has picked-up the cable rights to the 1994-98 sitcom Ellen starring Ellen DeGeneres! This will be an FX premiere as the series has never aired on the network. Ellen will air mornings Mon-Sat from 9-11am, but also a movie could preempt and airing or two on random days. Ellen has aired on other networks like Lifetime and Oxygen, but hasn't aired anywhere in quite some time. Back to Buffy, the series has aired on many networks since it left FX, including the Viacom world (MTV, TeenNick, Logo) and NBCUniversal (Chiller and Oxygen). The series continues to air on Chiller and will continue to air, but it seems that Viacom networks will lose the drama to FX.

Elsewhere on the FX fall schedule it will be status quo. From 11am-8pm will be movies, How I Met Your Mother and Two and a Half Men, with no real set schedule. Ideally, FX likes to air How I Met Your Mother from 5-7pm and Two and a Half Men from 2-3pm and 7-8pm, but that's not always the case. In primetime, there are movies and original series (like Anger Management) thru 11pm. Encores of originals or a movie fill the rest of the schedule out from 11pm to the wee hours. We mentioned that How I Met Your Mother will be airing on the new FX spin-off network FXX, but as you can see it will still be on FX as well. You'll find the sitcom on both FX and FXX this fall. We will announce the FXX schedule sometime next week and it will have some older series that will surprise you as well. Stay tuned! Highlights for FX Fall 2013 include a Two and a Half Men Labor Day marathon on Monday, Sept. 2 from 7am-5:30pm. The season finale of Wilfred is on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 10. The 90-minute season premiere of Sons of Anarchy on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 10 following the broadcast premiere of the movie X-Men: First Class. The broadcast premiere of Moneyball on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 7. The season premiere of American Horror Story: Coven is on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 10 following the broadcast premiere of Paranormal Activity. The following week as the broadcast premiere of Paranormal Activity 2. Other movie premieres include The Green Lantern.

Discuss the FX Fall 2013 schedule on our message board. And stay with us for the FXX launch schedule very soon!

Sabrina the Teenage Witch

MTV2 has added the Melissa Joan Hart sitcom Sabrina, the Teenage Witch to its line-up to compliment similar series Boy Meets World and Saved by the Bell as of July 27. The sitcom is primarily used on Saturdays from about 7-11am. It will pop-up on some weekdays as well in the mornings from 9am-12pm to lead into the regular Saved by the Bell (12-2pm) and Boy Meets World (2-4pm) airings. Other sitcoms MTV2 airs are Wayans Bros., Everybody Hates Chris, Martin and the sketch comedy In Living Color. They have quietly removed Smart Guy and Living Single after being added in April, while Martin has been reduced heavily. Sabrina, the Teenage Witch continues to air on The Hub, airing Mon-Thurs at 2am so this is a shared deal with The Hub. Smart Guy continues to air on Up, while Living Single is still on TV One with Martin. Stay with us for continued updates and to see what MTV2 looks like in the fall, if any changes.

Three's a Crowd Premieres June 27 on Antenna TV; TeenNick Acquires Freaks & Geeks and Undeclared

In January we mentioned that the Three's Company spin-off series (or as most call it, a follow-up series), Three's a Crowd will premiere on Monday, June 27 in the Three's Company timeslots (Mon-Thurs 6-7pm and encores 12-1am) only on Antenna TV...vintage without the funny smell. This is still on target and is now official! See what happens to Jack Tripper as he moves in with his girlfriend Vicky! Three's Company will return to the timeslots after the 22 episodes of the spin-off air, so on Thursday, July 14, you can see Jack Tripper move in with Janet & Chrissy from the beginning all over again! This is such a unique way of airing the series and both spin-offs, as I have mentioned already. We are glad Antenna TV is doing this! And for those of you who missed The Ropers, not to worry, you'll see it again next time on Antenna TV in the rotation when they move out of Three's Company.
Elsewhere on Antenna TV, they are getting for their new schedule that will start next week (May 30), that we announced first. You'll see Burns & Allen and Mad About You join the weekday line-up and then on Sundays, you can catch a new morning block of rare gems Circus Boy, The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin and Iron Horse! And if that's not all, Sunday nights get funner with the zany soap opera sitcom Soap airing in a two-hour block!
Movies airing in June will be some classics, some gems and some rarities. It's a nice mix. Some of the films include Ghostbusters II, The Indian In The Cupboard, Sunset Park, Glitter, Vice Versa, Mixed Nuts, Stairway to Heaven and many more!

The other day we told you about Buffy the Vampire Slayer finally coming to TeenNick, and don't worry Sunnydale fans that is still happening on May 30, but starting June 13, two more series will join the line-up! The short-lived series Freaks & Geeks and Undeclared will join the late night line-up. Freaks & Geeks will air after Buffy at 11pm and Undeclared will air at 12:00am & 12:30am. Freaks & Geeks will also air at 2am following another Buffy at 1am. Both series had Seth Rogen in them.
These two series have been airing on IFC, as we reported. However, they only air them once a week, and TeenNick is planning to air them six nights a week (every night except Friday nights). Both series only have 18 episodes, so this could be temporary only, as TeenNick is getting ready for its new "The '90s Are All That" late night block this fall. Stay with us...

Nick at Nite Adding That '70s Show in June 2011, Buffy Finally Scheduled on TeenNick; The Hub Adds Jem

Nick at Nite has announced it will borrow That '70s Show from its Viacom sibling TeenNick. The former Fox sitcom will start on Memorial Day (Monday, May 30, 2011) on Nick at Nite and will air Sun-Fri at 11:00 p.m. & 11:30 p.m. ET. It will also encore on Mon-Fri nights at 3:00 a.m. & 3:30 a.m. ET. The sitcom will replace an hour of The Nanny in the 11 p.m. hour and will push back the encore of Everybody Hates Chris into the 4am hour. Now just to be aware, Nick at Nite has been "off-the-clock" mode lately starting in the 11:30 p.m. half hour starting approx. 11:32pm and getting longer each half-hour until it catches back up on time at 6:00 a.m. As a result, one full half-hour is lost.
That '70s Show will no longer air on sister network TeenNick, which had been airing the series every night in the 11pm & 2am hours. The sitcom will have its last airing on Sunday, May 29. Instead, TeenNick will FINALLY start airing Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which kept on getting delayed. It was supposed to start on May 9, then they kept delaying it. The Sarah Michelle Gellar drama will air every night at 10pm & 11pm staring Tuesday, May 31. Also of note, That '70s Show will remain airing on sister network MTV, which airs the show weeknights in the 6pm hour. And if that isn't enough, That '70 Show will remain on ABC Family and in local syndication as well. Ashton Kutcher, who is on That '70s Show and Buffy's Sarah Michelle Gellar, both have been in the news, as they join network series this fall (Ashton on Two and a Half Men and Sarah on hew new series Ringer on The CW).
View the FULL Nick at Nite June 2011 schedule with the addition of That '70s Show. As of now, we don't have details on any stunts or marathons for the month, but if there are any we will let you know, so stay with us!

With the school year ending and sunny days just around the corner, The Hub television network, a destination for kids and their families, will bring viewers a new summer programming schedule that will reflect the seasonal schedules of kids and parents. Viewers can expect a summer full of special holiday marathons of favorite Hub series, a wide array of popular family-friendly movies, and a new "Saturday Mashup" scheduling strategy.
Throughout the summer, "Saturday Mashup" will feature original episodes of series on The Hub in a special themed lineup that will highlight the network's game shows, comedies, and action/adventure series in designated, kid-friendly blocks.
A preview of the new "Saturday Mashup" programming schedule will debut Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 28, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. ET. The Hub will tee up the new Saturday schedule by presenting two back-to-back episodes of each of the popular Hasbro Studios produced series My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, Pound Puppies, and Family Game Night, followed by a three-hour marathon (previously announced) of the first six episodes of Jem and the Holograms, an animated series which originally aired in the late 1980s and whose fans are passionate and numerous.
And finally, in addition to the framed Saturday programming events, The Hub will present special programming lineups for each of the summer holidays with an emphasis on family-friendly shows that kids and their parents will want to watch together. Memorial Day will be celebrated with the network's "Hub of the Brave" day-long lineup of programming featuring heroic acts from some of The Hub’s favorite series characters. Father's Day and Independence Day will feature similar lineups highlighting favorite episodes of GI Joe: A Real American Hero and GI Joe Renegades, and Transformers Generation 1 and Transformers Prime.
We will let you know if there is a sitcom stunt planned or not, similar to their Mother's Day "Mrs. C" Happy Days marathon. So stay with us!

TeenNick Adds Buffy, Brings Back Saved by the Bell in May 2011; Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows (Week of May 2, 2011)

TeenNick will make some changes in May 2011 and among those changes are adding Buffy the Vampire Slayer and bringing back Saved by the Bell! The high school themed series air in May just as the school year is about to close for most of the country. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, is not a new deal because they are borrowing it from sister network Logo. Buffy has also appeared on MTV, another sister network. The drama will continue to air on Logo as well, but not as much as it did before. These networks are all part of Viacom and Viacom is sharing the series with Universal, which airs the series on Chiller.
You thought nothing could be as intense and terrifying as high school. But Buffy and the Scooby Gang contend with all the same high school drama you do – but with demons and evil around every corner it’s even more treacherous. While the struggles of teendom can make you feel like something is the end of the world, in Sunnydale the ups and downs are literally Apocalyptic. Buffy the Vampire Slayer will air every day of the week from 10pm-12am and 2-4am, starting on Monday, May 9 only on TeenNick!
And finally of note on TeenNick, the sitcom Saved by the Bell is coming back to TeenNick after a long hiatus. The series apparently hasn't aired in nearly two years (has it been that long?). It's alright because it's "saved by the bell." The series will air in the after school hour of 3-4pm ET starting Monday, May 9 on TeenNick. Of course, Screech and the gang are everyday staples on TBS every morning since the early '90s and that will continue for many more years I think. Other series airing on TeenNick still are sitcoms That '70s Show and What I Like About You, but it seems One on One is leaving the late night schedule on weekends. And finally, a Memorial Day weekend marathon of True Jackson airs Saturday, May 28 through Monday, May 30 from noon–7pm ET.

Moving on to some wedding news (I'm sure everyone watched some of the Royal Wedding this morning), our friends at TV Tango have sketched out the top 10 comedy sketches that parody the Royal Family. You can feast on video clips from SNL, Kids in the Hall, Monty Python, The Carol Burnett Show and more. Check out their picks and see if you agree!

It's Friday, so it is time for "Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows" for the coming week. Science Channel Acquires Firefly; USA Reduces CSI; Remembering Seinfeld's Uncle Leo, Actor Len Lesser

From the creator of the hit TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer sci-fi savant Joss Whedon delves into the final frontier with Firefly, which lands exclusively on the Science Channel on Sunday, March 6 at 8pm ET with the airing of the original 2-hour pilot. Immediately following, episode one of the 15 episode series will air at 10pm ET.
Firefly will dominate the airwaves every Sunday with an encore episode of the previous week airing 9pm ET to be followed by the network premiere of the next episode in the series airing at 10pm ET.
As a special treat for Firefly fans, star of Science Channel's Sci-Fi Science, and the cofounder of string field theory, Dr. Michio Kaku, will be commentating on the science behind Firefly for each episode. From terraforming, to anti-matter, Kaku will be explaining why the science fiction featured in the show really isn't that far from science fact.
When Firefly first aired in 2002 on Fox, Whedon's sci-fi western quickly became a cult favorite. Set 500 years in the future, in the aftermath of a universal civil war, the story centers on the renegade crew of a small transport spaceship led by Castle's Nathan Fillion, who directs the ragtag team through adventures into unknown parts of the galaxy, as they try to evade warring factions as well as authority agents out to get them. In addition to Fillion, the series starred Gina Torres (Alias), Adam Baldwin (Chuck), Summer Glau (Sarah Connor Chronicles), Ron Glass (Barney Miller) and Morena Baccarin (V).
Science Channel is part of Discovery Networks, which includes Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, and Discovery Health.

After just a few weeks, CSI will be reduced on USA Network. Law & Order: SVU replaces CSI on Mondays at midnight and Law & Order: CI replaces CSI on Mondays at 1am. And finally, NCIS replaces CSI on Fridays in late night beginning at 12am. So when will CSI now air? Wednesdays at 12am and Fridays 9pm-12am. It looks like the ratings are still not up to par for CSI on USA Network, which is surprising since it fits well with other reruns on the network. Stay with us for any further updates and changes, if any.

We have another TV passing to report. Len Lesser, the veteran character actor best known for his scene-stealing role as Uncle Leo on Seinfeld, has died. Lesser's family said in a statement that he died Wednesday (Feb. 16, 2011) in Burbank, CA, from cancer-related pneumonia.
He appeared in about 15 episodes as Seinfeld's uncle on the long running sitcom starting in the second season all the way to the series finale. Lesser's lengthy list of television credits included parts on Gunsmoke, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Dragnet, Love on a Rooftop, The FBI, My Favorite Martian, Honey West, Ben Casey, Get Smart, That Girl, The Munsters, The Monkees, The Rockford Files, The Bill Cosby Show, All in the Family, Kojak, Medical Center, The Bob Newhart Show, Bonanza, Ironside, Enos, Quincy, Remington Steele, Simon & Simon, Falcon Crest, Airwolf, thirtysomething, Babes, Boy Meets World, The John Larroquette Show, Caroline in the City, Mad About You, Smart Guy, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Son of the Beach, Rock Me Baby, Just Shoot Me!, Quintuplets, Cold Case, ER, 'Til Death, and Everybody Loves Raymond, which featured Lesser in a recurring role as the arm-shaking Garvin. He most recently appeared on the ABC's Castle in 2009.
He will be deeply missed. Fans will be saying "Jerry! Hellooo!" today in his memory. Mr. Lesser was 88.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer on MTV Update; Goode Family Repeats Launches Next Monday on Comedy Central

A few weeks ago we told you that Buffy the Vampire Slayer is coming to Logo and MTV in January. Everything is all set for Buffy on Logo, as the marathon will air New Year's Day and then it will join the regular schedule...but MTV has altered their schedule a bit. Buffy will NOT launch on MTV on Jan. 10 with a marathon. Instead, it will join the schedule without a marathon a week later than planned. It starts airing weekdays at 11am ET/PT on Tuesday, Jan. 19. Oh well, enjoy the marathon on Logo this week and watch the show at better time slots regularly on Logo (like 6pm & 7pm) if you don't like the 11am midday airing on MTV. As always, especially with Viacom networks, the Jan. 19 date is subject to change. So stay with us if anything changes.
I personally can't get enough of the John Ritter episode called "Ted." Can't wait to watch it again on Logo's marathon! You can watch Buffy online on TheWB.com also. Other shows available on TheWB.com include other Warner Bros. owned series like, Angel, Ben Stiller Show, Everwood, Firefly, Friends, George Carlin Show, Growing Pains, In Living Color, Lois & Clark, MADtv, Pushing Daisies, The Loop, V, What I Like About You, and Wonder Woman.

Comedy Central has just changed The Goode Family premiere date to Monday, Jan. 4, instead of Tuesday, Jan. 5. The Goode Family will air weekly on Monday nights at 10 pm ET. The Goode Family, the satirical animated series from Mike Judge, John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky, will air on Comedy Central beginning January 4, 2010 in a secondary run. The Goode Family, which first premiered in May 2009 on ABC, is produced by Media Rights Capital, Ternion Pictures and 3 Arts Entertainment.
The complete first season of The Goode Family with all 13 episodes will air on Comedy Central on Monday nights at 10:00 pm ET, giving vegans, lesbians, right-wing conservatives, Prius owners, Texas-rednecks and liberals-who-can-laugh-at-themselves a second chance to fall in love with the Goodes.
If the series does well in repeats, there is a chance Comedy Central can get the show back in production for a second season. So watch it, especially if you have never watched!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Coming to Logo and MTV in January 2010; Minor Nick at Nite Changes

If you all remember when we announced that Grounded for Life was coming to MTV, at the end I mentioned a teen drama was also coming to MTV soon...now it is time to announce that drama! The teen drama is... Buffy the Vampire Slayer! The classic 1997-2003 The WB series (and later UPN) starring Sarah Michelle Gellar will join the Viacom owned MTV and also sister network Logo in January 2010.
It first launches on Logo with a marathon on New Year's Day (Friday, Jan. 1, 2010), from 6am-12am ET! That's 18 hours of kicking vampire butt! Buffy joins The L Word and Queer as Folk as other scripted dramas on Logo. Buffy will regularly air on Logo weeknights at 6pm & 7pm and also 2am & 3am starting Jan. 4. It will also air at various times on weekends, such as Fridays in primetime at 9pm & 10pm, and weekend mornings. Keep an eye out, because weekends are not the same every week...there will be a whole lotta Buffy, though!
As for MTV, the series premieres with an 8-hour marathon on Sunday, January 10, 2010 starting at 11am. Then it will regularly air on MTV weekdays at 11am starting Monday, January 11 following hours of Grounded for Life and Degrassi.
The airings on Logo and MTV mark the first time Buffy has been on cable since FX stopped airing the show last fall, when they had relegated to weekend mornings. Buffy aired on and off on FX from 2001-2008.
At the young age of 16, Buffy Summers was chosen to hunt vampires, demons, and the
forces of darkness. After the ordeal at Hemery High, Buffy Summers wound up at Sunnydale High. Joined with Willow Rosenberg and Alexander "Xander" Harris, and her watcher Giles, Buffy fights the challenges of High School and saves the world...a lot. Some of the guest stars over the years on Buffy included John Ritter, Nathan Fillion, and Ashanti.

There has been a few minor Nick at Nite changes that have recently happened. Since Monday (Dec. 7), the weekdays 6-7am hour is now Family Matters, as it was only airing Tuesdays and Thursdays before. The Nanny was airing Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays....but now Family Matters is fully on weekdays. Weekends remain the same with Family Matters in the 6am hour and The Nanny on Sundays in that hour. On Friday nights, Everybody Hates Chris will now air at 2am instead of 1:30am, as George Lopez encore will air in the 1am hour now. Previously it was The Nanny at 1am and Chris at 1:30am. And finally, Malcolm in the Middle late nights on weekends are now gone. They were airing Saturday and Sunday nights in the 1am hour, now we get another hour of The Nanny instead, now from 11pm-2am.
We previously mentioned that next week (Dec. 14), will have George Lopez air 9-11pm on Mon-Thurs, and as of now it is still happening. It is only for that week.
View the updated changes for Nick at Nite December 2009 and stay with us in the coming weeks for the January 2010 schedule and highlights!
