TeleXitos Acquires Buffy the Vampire Slayer; Dancing with the Stars Season 25 Cast Has Malcolm in the Middle Star
TeleXitos announced that its September 2017 programming lineup includes The Unit, Law & Order, and the premiere of the iconic Emmy-award winning fantasy horror series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Buffy: La Cazavampiros in Spanish). In addition, TeleXitos will air special programming in celebration of Mexican Independence Day. Viewers will be able to watch the programs in Spanish and without subtitles.
The Unit - Launched in 2006, The Unit follows the top-secret missions of military operators and the struggles their families face back home. Based on real life special operation unit, Delta Force, viewers will be on the edge of their seats as they watch U.S. army recruits train for special counter terrorism missions. The Unit will air on TeleXitos on weekdays at 4 PM ET beginning Monday, September 18 (check local listings.)
Law & Order - Beginning Saturday, September 23, courtroom drama returns with a six-hour marathon of Law & Order episodes never before seen on TeleXitos, starting at 8 PM ET. Audiences can tune in every Saturday from 8 PM to 2 AM to catch Law & Order marathons (check local listings.)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Buffy: La Cazavampiros) will air on TeleXitos for the first time beginning Monday, September 18. The classic fantasy horror series follows Buffy Summers as she is forced to fulfill her destiny as "The Slayer," battling vampires and demons while struggling to lead a normal teenage life. Viewers can tune-in Monday through Thursday at 8 PM ET to follow Buffy's adventures (check local listings.)
Special Programing – TeleXitos celebrates Mexican Independence Day on Saturday, September 16 with the "Día de la Independencia de Mexico" movie marathon. The network will air four films beginning at 3:30 PM ET including, Tizoc: Amor Indio, El Mariachi, Desperado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico (check local listings.)
Dancing with the Stars is gearing up to celebrate its 25th season, and the new celebrity cast are sparkling up their wardrobe, breaking in their dancing shoes and readying themselves for their first dance on the ballroom floor, as the season kicks off on Monday, September 18 from 8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT, on The ABC Television Network. This season's lineup of celebrity dancers includes a Shark, a married couple whose pro partners are also a married couple, a Pretty Little Liar, a Property Brother, an 80s pop icon, a WWE diva superstar, a NBA champion, and Malcolm from Malcolm in the Middle, among others.

Airwolf, Knight Rider Head to TeleXitos; Hilarious Comedy The Detour Returns Feb. 21, 2017
TeleXitos, the national Spanish-language multicast network that delivers action-adventure series and feature films without subtitles, announced that Airwolf and Knight Rider will air on the network for the first time beginning Monday, January 2, 2017. Airwolf will kick off TeleXitos' primetime hour at 8 PM ET / 7 PM CT and Knight Rider will follow at 9 PM ET / 8 PM CT. Making their Spanish-language debut in the United States, Airwolf tells the story of "Stringfellow Hawke," a renegade pilot that makes a deal with the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to find his missing brother. Originally aired in 1984 and starring Jan-Michael Vincent, the show's major player is the high-tech military designed helicopter, "Airwolf" operated by Stringfellow Hawke and his operatives on their espionage missions.
The 1980's classic show, Knight Rider, starring David Hasselhoff in his breakout role as a crime fighter, features the fan-favorite artificially intelligent Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, KITT. The series made its original debut on NBC in 1982 and aired for four years. Viewers can tune in to TeleXitos to watch Michael Knight and KITT take down criminals who operate above the law. Launched in December 2014, TeleXitos features action-adventure programming in Spanish-language, without subtitles. The network is available in 21 markets, including Los Angeles (KVEA), New York (WNJU), Miami (WSCV), Houston (KTMD), Dallas-Fort Worth (KXTX), Chicago (WSNS), San Antonio (KVDA), San Francisco Bay Area (KXTX), Phoenix (KTAZ), Harlingen (KTLM), Sacramento (KCSO), Fresno (KNSO), Philadelphia (WWSI), Denver (KDEN), Boston (WNEU), Atlanta (WKTB), Las Vegas (KBLR), Tucson (KHRR), Hartford (WRDM), Salt Lake City (KTMW). Additionally, viewers in West Palm Beach (FL) market will be able to watch the new TeleXitos programming over-the-air or on Xfinity channel 229.
TBS's hit comedy series The Detour is making its way back for its second season, slated to launch with back-to-back episodes on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT). Created, written and executive-produced by Jason Jones and Samantha Bee, The Detour stars Jones, along with Natalie Zea, Ashley Gerasimovich, Liam Carroll and Daniella Pineda. During the second season of this all-too-honest look at the family dynamic, Nate (Jones) receives a promising job opportunity, and the family moves to New York City for a fresh start. Everyone is excited except for Robin (Zea), who knows that a move to the big city means her mysterious past may catch up with her. While Nate and Robin adjust to new jobs, new neighbors and old flames, Jared (Carroll) and Delilah (Gerasimovich) dive headfirst into the awkwardness of adolescence. Despite questionable parenting and terrible decisions, the love the Parkers have for each other will keep the family intact as they endure another disastrous adventure.
The second season of The Detour will feature a number of special guests, including series executive producer and co-creator Samantha Bee, as well as James Cromwell, John Oliver, Laura Benanti, Jeffrey Vincent Parise and Max Casella. Antenna TV Adds 9 Sitcoms in 2017; Holy Spanish, Batman! '60s Classic Coming to TeleXitos
We hinted that Antenna TV was going to add a bunch of shows and even named a few, now the announcement is here for most! Antenna TV, Tribune Broadcasting's multicast network continues to invest in programming and will add nine new programs to its schedule in 2017. Antenna TV currently airs in 131 TV markets across the U.S. reaching 87% of TV households. In January 2017, Becker, What's Happening!! and My Two Dads will begin their run on Antenna TV, while Alice, Growing Pains, 227, The Hogan Family, Head of the Class and Murphy Brown will join the network during the year. In 2016, Antenna TV brought Johnny Carson back to late night with a 60-minute classic Carson episodes airing weeknights and a 90-minute episode on weekends, marking the first time Carson is airing in strip since he signed off in 1992. This year, the network also added Webster, Wings and The Addams Family, which launched on September 12.
Alice, Murphy Brown, Growing Pains, Head of the Class, and The Hogan Family join Antenna TV from Warner Bros., Becker joins from CBS, 227, My Two Dads and What's Happening!! join the network from Sony.
TeleXitos, the first-of-its-kind multicast channel for Spanish-language viewers that seek action adventure en Español, announced the network has the rights to air the iconic 1960's television series, Batman, in Spanish. Viewers in the United States will now be able to watch the 120-episode series in Spanish and without subtitles. TeleXitos will kick-off the Batman series premiere with a weekend marathon that will begin on Saturday, September 17 at 1 PM ET / 12 CT. To view a promo of the series in Spanish, click here. Batman, the 1960's television show that was based on DC Comics characters, first aired in the United States on January 12, 1966 on ABC. The fan-favorite series that featured the caped crusader duo, Bruce Wayne as Batman and Dick Grayson as Robin, alongside a cast of supervillains including the Joker, the Penguin, Riddler and Catwoman among others, took the country by storm and spurred a "Batmania" phenomenon. To date, Batman and its legendary onomatopoeia graphics, remains a beloved classic.
To commemorate TeleXitos' debut of Batman and celebrate DC Comics' "Batman Day 2016" on September 17, the network will also offer viewers an opportunity to access special Batman-themed trivia in Spanish on its digital and social media platforms. Telemundo Launches New Multicast Network with Classic TV Called TeleXitos; Broad City Season 1 DVD Giveaway
The Telemundo Station Group announced the launch of TeleXitos, the exciting new network that offers viewers a mix of popular action and adventure television series and feature films in Spanish. The new network will initially be available on the multicast channels of the Telemundo Station Group, which serves the largest Spanish-speaking markets in the United States, including Los Angeles, New York and Miami, and will later be available to local stations across the country. TeleXitos will serve as a destination for viewers who want to watch their favorite blockbuster action and adventure television series and movies from the 1970s to 2000s in Spanish. Kicking off the launch of TeleXitos is the syndicated action hit series, Miami Vice. Other TeleXitos programming includes The A-Team, VIP, Ripley's Believe It or Not, T.J. Hooker, Xena, Hercules and Homicide: Life On The Streets. TeleXitos will also feature blockbuster movies such as Hulk, The Interpreter, The Musketeer and Van Helsing.
At launch, the network is expected to reach nearly 20 million total households, including more than 4.5 million Hispanic households across the country. TeleXitos will be programmed around the clock, complement existing Telemundo content and offer local Telemundo stations the opportunity to schedule daily blocks of time with local programming that is of interest to their viewers, like news, sports and special events. Viewers across 16 television markets will be able to watch TeleXitos programming on the multicast channels of their local Telemundo stations, which serve the nation's top Hispanic markets. TeleXitos replaces Exitos, which aired popular novelas previously seen on the Telemundo Network. The Telemundo stations that air TeleXitos include KVEA in Los Angeles, WNJU in New York, WSCV in Miami-Fort Lauderdale, KTMD in Houston, KXTX in Dallas-Fort Worth, WSNS in Chicago, KSTS in the San Francisco Bay Area, KVDA in San Antonio, KHRR in Phoenix, KTAZ in Tucson, KTLM in Harlingen, KNSO in Fresno, KDEN in Denver, WWSI in Philadelphia, WNEU in Boston and KBRL in Las Vegas.
