Throughout this month, ABC will air a ghostly lineup of Halloween-themed episodes and festive films, including spine-tingling new episodes of 9-1-1, Abbott Elementary, AFV, Press Your Luck, Dancing with the Stars and Doctor Odyssey, and broadcast television debuts of fan favorites Haunted Mansion (2023) and Hocus Pocus 2. On Abbot Elementary on October 27, it's Halloween at Abbott Elementary! Janine and Gregory proudly show off their couple’s costume, but it fails to translate. Meanwhile, Barbara faces pushback from parents concerned about hygiene and her beloved apple-bobbing tradition.
Adding a new song to her Country Hall of Fame resume and for her millions of fans to enjoy, entertainment icon Reba McEntire has teamed up with renowned songwriter Carole King and written the show's theme song for her upcoming new NBC comedy, Happy's Place. The song, released by MCA Nashville, is available across all music platforms and will also debut on the Happy's Place series premiere, which is set for Friday October 18 at 8 p.m. Happy's Place will stream the next day on Peacock. Listen to the theme song from Happy's Place HERE.
The sitcom stars Reba McEntire as her character, Bobbie, inherits her father's tavern (Happy's Place) and is surprised to discover that she has a new business partner, Isabella, played by Belissa Escobedo, a twentysomething half-sister she never knew she had. The series also stars Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk and Rex Linn.

Happy 4th of July; A Reba Reunion on Reba McEntire's Lifetime Movie

Lifetime reteams with award-winning entertainer Reba McEntire for Reba McEntire's The Hammer, a new movie inspired by the life of traveling circuit judge, Kim Wanker, who hands down justice unlike anyone else. This is Lifetime's second collaboration with McEntire who also starred in and executive produced her 2021 holiday film, Reba McEntire's Christmas in Tune. The Hammer also reunites McEntire with her Reba co-star Melissa Peterman and stars Kay Shioma Metchie and Rex Linn.
The film follows Kim Wheeler (McEntire), an outspoken, firecracker lawyer who is appointed Judge of the 5th District of Nevada and is one of the few traveling judges left in America. After the reigning judge passes away under suspicious circumstances, Kim finds herself covering a circuit that stretches between Las Vegas and Reno — a rugged, often desolate area where anything and everything can happen. With gavel in hand, she lays down the law with a no-nonsense brand of justice, that quickly earns her the nickname "The Hammer." As the investigation of the former judge's death heats up, Kim’s sister Kris (Peterman), who runs the local brothel, suddenly becomes the prime suspect, and Kim must work even harder to make certain the appropriate justice is served. The film also stars Rex Linn as Bart Crawford, a mysterious cowboy with unknown motives and Kay Shioma Metchie as Vicky, the tough talking bailiff who serves as Kim's right hand and trusted friend.

Mom and Two and a Half Men Make Nick at Nite & TV Land Switch; Home Improvement Replaces Roseanne on CMT and Laff
Nick at Nite and TV Land will switch sitcoms come next week. Starting Monday, June 11, TV Land will move Mom to Nick at Nite, while Nick at Nite will move Two and a Half Men to TV Land. Mom will air four episodes every night beginning at 1am on June 11 on Nick at Nite. Meanwhile, TV Land will begin Two and a Half Men on June 11 as well airing every night 10-11pm and 1-2am. There will be a weekend stack next weekend as well on Saturday from 8am-4pm and Sunday from 5pm-11pm. Both sitcoms already air on sister network Paramount Network back-to-back every weekday from 1-7pm leading into Friends. All of this is another case of Viacom-owned network sharing. Mom stars Anna Faris and Academy Award winner Allison Janney and is heading into its sixth season next fall on CBS.
With Roseanne being pulled last week, networks are scrambling to replace the 90's sitcom. CMT will now air '90s sitcom Home Improvement starring Tim Allen weekdays from 2-5pm, leading into Tim Allen's newer sitcom Last Man Standing from 5pm-9pm. CMT has also started airing Full House (yet another case of Viacom network sharing) from 10am-12pm leading into Reba from 12-2pm. Meanwhile, digital broadcast network Laff replaced Roseanne last week with a second stack of Night Court, but that was just a temporary band-aid. Starting tonight, they will air Home Improvement instead in primetime starting at 9pm through 11pm. Home Improvement wasn't slated to premiere until September, but with this Roseanne fiasco, it has been called on a few months earlier instead. "More power" for Home Improvement!

Raymond, Roseanne Now on CMT; Bunk'd Star Gets Disney Movie
As we mentioned earlier this summer, Old Christine is now airing on CMT. Now they have added two more sitcoms. It's more of the spread of Viacom love, as it is more Viacom sharing. Sister network TV Land staples Everybody Loves Raymond and Roseanne have both joined the CMT lineup (and still on TV Land, too). Roseanne is airing from 12-2pm, while Everybody Love Raymond airs from 5-6pm. Old Christine has moved to 11am-12pm now, as looks like the 4pm hour didn't work out. Reba was airing from 12-4pm, and will now be 2-5pm. Yep, both Reba and Old Christine air on TV Land, too. Last Man Standing looks like is doing well as it will continue to air in early evening and prime, now from 6-9pm instead of 5-8pm (movies air Fridays beginning at 8pm, since new episodes of the sitcom air on ABC Fridays at 8). In late night, usually it is more Last Man Standing or Roseanne from 1:30-3am. Raising Hope will continue to air 4-5am after Paid Programming. And finally, on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 12-6pm, CMT will air a marathon of Last Man Standing.
Peyton List (Disney Channel's Bunk'd) and Jacob Bertrand (Disney XD's Kirby Buckets) star in the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie The Swap, premiering Friday, October 7 at 8:00 pm EDT across Disney Channel's multiple platforms including Disney Channel, the Disney Channel app and VOD. Part of Disney Channel's Halloween-themed "Monstober" programming event, The Swap is a comedy adventure that follows two teens on a quest to reverse a mysterious event that caused them to swap lives. Ellie O'Brien (List) is trying to juggle rhythmic gymnastics and troubles with her best friend. Meanwhile, classmate Jack Malloy (Bertrand) is struggling to live up to his brothers' hockey-star legacies and his dad's high expectations and tough-love approach. When a text argument about whose life is easier gets out of hand, Ellie and Jack trigger an unexplainable real-life swap. As each tries to navigate the other's life, hilarity ensues when Ellie (as Jack) learns about brotherly bonding and hockey lingo, while Jack (as Ellie) has to decipher girl code and experiences a spa day. With a rhythmic gymnastics championship and a spot on the varsity hockey team on the line, they must figure out how to get back in their own bodies before the swap becomes permanent. As they are forced to literally walk in each other's shoes, they gain empathy for one another and learn valuable lessons about their own lives.
The Disney Channel Original Movie also stars Claire Rankin as Ellie's mom Summer; Darrin Rose as Jack's dad, "Coach" Malloy; Callan Potter and Jesse Bostick as Jack's brothers, Gunner and Stryker, respectively; Kiana Madeira as Sassy Gaines; Eliana Jones as Aspen Bishop; Devyn Nekoda as Mackenzie Wick; Kolton Stewart as Owen; and James Godfrey as Porter Gibbs.

Old Christine Heads to CMT; Superstore Gets Post-Olympics Airing
CMT has added The New Adventures of Old Christine beginning this week. The Julia Louis-Dreyfus sitcom is airing weekdays at 4pm & 4:30pm in between the network's successful sitcoms Reba (12-4pm) and Last Man Standing (5-8pm), both also air on Freeform (and Hallmark also airs Last Man Standing, and Reba airs on TV Land). Roseanne kicks off the CMT sitcom line-up from 10am-12pm. The network's only other sitcom airings are two Raising Hope episodes weekday mornings from 4-5am. Back to The New Adventures of Old Christine, the sitcom also airs on sister network TV Land in late nights and has previously aired on Viacom nets NickMom and Nick at Nite. The series has also aired on Lifetime and WGN in the past. Julia Louis-Dreyfus stars in a comedy about a divorced working mom who's juggling the daily stresses of motherhood, work and dating, while maintaining a positive relationship with her ex-husband, which is easier when his pretty new girlfriend isn't around to complicate the picture. Christine Campbell has a busy life - after all, she's prone to taking NyQuil to get to sleep and leaving voicemail messages to herself in the middle of the night. She co-owns a women's 30-minute workout gym with her best friend, Barb, and manages to send her 13-year-old son, Ritchie, to a posh private school, where she endures endless encounters with two snooty, condescending stay-at-home moms, Marly and Lindsay. Her inexperienced therapist brother, Matthew, helps Christine care for Ritchie and serves as her emotional rock. Christine gets along with her ex-husband, Richard, even better than when they were married, but since Richard's been in relationship with "new" Christine" - making her the "Old Christine" - she feels the pressure to take that same leap.
Capitalizing on the Rio Olympics, NBC will air special original half-hour episodes of the network's comedy, Superstore, and reality series, The Voice, on Friday, Aug. 19 and Sunday, Aug. 21 (the night of the Closing Ceremony), respectively. Both episodes will begin at 10:30pm ET following Olympics coverage. Superstore stars America Ferrera and Ben Feldman and a unique family of employees at a super-sized megastore. Ferrera is the store's most stalwart employee who holds the place together, and Feldman plays the naive dreamer determined to prove work doesn't have to be boring. Their fellow associates include a unique collection of characters played by Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nico Santos and Nichole Bloom, who are overseen by the clueless store manager played by Mark McKinney.
Following the Closing Ceremony will be the first 30 minutes of the 11th cycle of The Voice, which returns Sept. 19 in its regularly-scheduled time period. The preview will pull back the curtain on two female coaches for the first time ever as Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus will take their places in the red chairs next to Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

Last Man Standing Heads to CMT; New Girl Timeslots on MTV
Yesterday we mentioned in our look at the Labor Day TV marathons that Last Man Standing was having one on CMT, now today it joins the CMT lineup. The Tim Allen sitcom will air weeknights on CMT from 7-8pm beginning today with the very first episode. Last Man Standing will air in between Reba, which will air 5-7pm and 8-9pm. As we also mentioned, Last Man Standing is coming to ABC Family later this month as well. The series is also coming to The Hallmark Channel in early 2016. In the series, barely surviving in a household full of women, a man's-man patriarch evaluates how far the modern woman has come, and wonders what has become of all the men. Back to CMT, Raising Hope is moving to 2-3am as a result, following Cops Reloaded. CMT will also air America's Funniest Home Videos weekdays at 3pm and 4pm. Stay with us for continued updates.
As for New Girl on MTV, we mentioned the Labor Day marathon yesterday and that it would join the line-up shared with TBS. MTV is airing the Zooey Deschanel comedy weekdays from 4-6pm. TBS is airing the series from 3-4pm. New Girl joins the MTV line-up with The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as the only comedies on the network, as that series airs weekday mornings from 9-11am. New Girl stars the Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated Zooey Deschanel as Jess, a smart and spirited woman navigating her way through the highs and lows of modern friendship and romance with her male roommates (Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris and Damon Wayans Jr.) and best friend (Hannah Simone). Keep it right here for all things New Girl.

ABC Family Moves Buffy to Mornings; FXX Schedules Final Season of The League and 2nd Season of You're the Worst
Starting on Monday (July 27) ABC Family will make some last minute schedule changes to its line-up. Buffy the Vampire Slayer will move to 7am replacing That '70s Show Monday-Friday until further notice, but That '70s Show will remain from 8-9am. Boy Meets World will replace The Middle Monday-Friday from 1-2pm, as The Middle replaces Reba Monday-Friday from 3-4pm (so The Middle is now 2-4pm). Why because Reba replaces Buffy the Vampire Slayer Monday-Friday at 5pm. Reba will now air 4-6pm. No reason for the changes, but it looks like Buffy might have underperformed in the ratings at 5pm, so it will move to 7am. Fellow recently added series Dawson's Creek will remain at 12 noon following Gilmore Girls at 11am, as they seem to be doing well together. No shows will be leaving the line-up with these changes, though.
FXX is the destination for comedy this fall with the seventh and final season of its hit comedy series The League and the second season of the acclaimed comedy You're the Worst. Season seven of The League will premiere on FXX on Wednesday, September 9 at 10 PM e/p, immediately followed by the second season of You're the Worst at 10:30 PM e/p. To be a fan of FXX's The League, you don't need to know much about fantasy football, or sports at all. You just need to have friends that you hate. The ensemble comedy follows a group of old friends in a fantasy football league who care very deeply ... about beating each other for bragging rights. You're the Worst is a modern look at love and happiness told through the eyes of two people who haven't been very successful with either. It's the story of Gretchen and Jimmy, fear, heartbreak, romance, sex, food, Los Angeles, Sunday Funday, friendship, and the fact that sometimes the worst people make the best partners.

In primetime, Raymond still airs at 9pm into King of Queens from 10pm-12am. Following Friends and Reba in late night will be Raymond from 2-3am, Roseanne from 3-4am, That '70s Show from 4-5am and Three's Company from 5-6am.
Weekends will be various blocks with shows like The Nanny, The Golden Girls, The Brady Bunch, Family Feud, AFV, Reba, Friends, Raymond and The King of Queens. MeTV FM 87.7 Core artists include Carly Simon, James Taylor, The Eagles, Elton John, The Carpenters, Motown superstars, America, Neil Diamond and hundreds more. Now is the time they want to ask listeners to "Think outside Pandora's box," to "modify their Spotify" and be "a little less 'Sirius' with Me... 87.7 MeTV FM." After six award-winning and critically-acclaimed seasons, Nurse Jackie, the Showtime hit comedy starring the extraordinary Edie Falco, will begin production this week on its seventh and final season. The series, which premiered in 2009, instantly became one of the network's signature series, garnering multiple awards, including several Emmy(R) Awards, a Humanitas Prize, an AFI Award for "Outstanding Television Program" and several Prism Awards for its depiction of substance abuse. It has also placed its star Edie Falco in the rare position of being the only actress to ever win the lead acting Emmy Awards in both comedy and drama, and the most nominated television performer in Screen Actors Guild Awards history. As one of the highest-rated Showtime comedies, as well as the network's top female skewing comedy, Nurse Jackie averaged 3.4 million weekly viewers across platforms in its sixth season, once again outperforming its prior season. Nurse Jackie is a co-production between Showtime and Lionsgate.
Nurse Jackie also stars Merritt Wever in her Emmy-winning role, Paul Schulze, Dominic Fumusa, Anna Deavere Smith, Stephen Wallem, Betty Gilpin, Ruby Jerins, Mackenzie Aladjem and Peter Facinelli. Tony Shalhoub will guest star this season. Clyde Phillips serves as showrunner and executive producer. Tom Straw, Richie Jackson, Liz Flahive and Caryn Mandabach also executive produce.

ABC Family will be making some scheduling maneuvers starting Monday (June 9). That '70s Show will be off the line-up as Boy Meets World will air 7-8:30am. The Middle will be moving to mornings now and will air Mon–Fri 8:30am & 9am, as Still Standing is now off the schedule again. The Middle's second hour will now be Mon–Fri from 1-2pm, replacing an hour of Reba, which will move to 3-4pm instead of Boy Meets World. This means Boy Meets World will now air from 7-8:30am and 4-6pm. No word on why the last minute changes, but perhaps ABC Family is getting ready to promote sister network Disney Channel's upcoming series Girl Meets World by airing Boy Meets World at a later time. ABC Family Sitcom Schedule Changes in December; Leah Remini Joins TV Land's The Exes
ABC Family is altering its sitcom line-up this December. Weekdays beginning Monday, December 2, will see some time changes and Grounded for Life being removed from the line-up again. That '70s Show will expand from 7-9am on weekday mornings, cutting out Grounded for Life in that 7am hour. At 9am, Still Standing returns to the line-up and will air weekday mornings at 9am replacing an airing of That '70s Show. Then the line-up remains the same from 9:30am-11am with The 700 Club programming and Gilmore Girls at 11am. Then its back to sitcoms with 8 Simple Rules and Reba switching hours, with Rules going to the 12pm hour and Reba moving to the 1pm hour. But that's not all for Reba! It will air in the 2pm hour as well, shifting the two-hour Boy Meets World block to 3-5pm instead of 2-4pm. In essence, the Reba hours are now consecutively airings (1-3pm) instead of broken up like it is now from 12-1pm and 4-5pm. And finally, new addition The Middle will remain from 5-7pm (well 5-6pm until 25 Days of Christmas event is over). One other note, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which airs weeknights from 12-1am, will return to the weeknight line-up on Dec. 30 after the 25 Days of Christmas event is over. Keep it right here for continued updates on all things ABC Family!
Leah Remini (The King of Queens) has been cast for a multi-episode arc in TV Land's original sitcom, The Exes. Remini, who was most recently a semi-finalist on ABC's Dancing With The Stars, will play Stuart's (David Alan Basche) sister Nicki – a tough-talking, no-nonsense, stylish and sexy woman from Staten Island whose 17-year marriage ends when she finds out her policeman husband had an affair. On this season of The Exes, Nicki retreats to Manhattan to seek the comfort of her brother, only to find out he's sharing an apartment with two guys, Phil (Donald Faison) and Haskell (Wayne Knight), and living next door to his divorce attorney Holly (Kristen Johnston). Unable and unwilling to keep her opinions to herself, she turns all their lives upside down as she tries to put her life back together and make a new future for herself in Manhattan. The Exes, which returns with new episodes on Wednesday, December 11 at 10:30pm ET/PT, revolves around the unlikely trio of Phil, Haskell and Stuart, three roommates and divorcés who have finally found bromance after initially being forced to live together by their divorce attorney and landlord, Holly. Last we left the gang in the summer finale, Phil and Eden (Kelly Stables) realized that they were more interested in dating than remaining "friends with benefits," while the rest of the gang was surprised to find out that anything was going on between them at all. This past summer, The Exes had its highest-rated season ever among Adults 25-54, while also seeing a +21% increase among total viewers versus the prior season (Source: Nielsen, L+7, 6/19/13 - 8/28/13). Stay with us for continued updates on when Leah's episodes will air.
