Hulu's Desperate Housewives Wisteria Lane Block Party; Whitmer Thomas HBO Comedy Special
Check out photos from Hulu's Desperate Housewives Wisteria Lane Block Party, held on the Universal Studios Hollywood back lot on Wednesday, July 22. Series creator Marc Cherry and stars Brenda Strong (Mary Alice Young), Steven Culp (Rex Van de Kamp) and Max Carver (Preston Scavo) joined influencer superfans on the iconic suburban street set for an afternoon of interactive photo opportunities and activations in honor of the Housewives that started it all. All eight seasons of the hit ABC series are available to stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
ABC's Desperate Housewives offers a deliciously juicy glimpse into the lives of everyone's favorite housewives. On the surface, the women of Wisteria Lane appear to embody the picture-perfect American suburb. But beneath that idyllic façade lie secrets, infidelity, deceit, blackmail, and even murder. With dishonest husbands, complicated relationships, family drama, and meddling neighbors fueling the chaos, it's no wonder things aren't always as they seem. Created by Marc Cherry, Desperate Housewives aired for eight seasons on ABC from October 3, 2004, through May 13, 2012, spanning a total of 180 episodes.
Whitmer Thomas returns for his second HBO Original comedy special Whitmer Thomas: Terminal Crew of Dudes, debuting Friday, August 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
In his second HBO stand-up special, comedian, musician, and actor Whitmer Thomas digs into his small-town Alabama upbringing… and his ongoing quest to be cool. Joined onstage by his bandmates and closest friends – Jeremy Ritchie, Clay Tatum, Budd Diaz, and brother Johnny McCann – Whitmer shares irreverent and heartfelt stories chronicling his chaotic adolescence, from pranks and skateboarding to ruining a Benihana birthday party. Blending original songs, photos, and home videos, Whitmer Thomas: Terminal Crew of Dudes is a funny and deeply personal tribute to the people and moments that shape us.
