NBC Announces Summer 2020 Staples; BET+ Announces Tyler Perry Single-Camera Series Premiere Date

NBC has announced two summer premieres. America's Got Talent will premiere its new season on Tuesday, May 26 from 8-10 p.m. ET/PT. The upcoming 15th season of America's Got Talent introduces new judge Sofia Vergara and welcomes back Heidi Klum in addition to returning Season 14 judges Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel. Terry Crews returns as host. The series will air weekly on Tuesdays from 8-10pm through Sept. 15 and will add the Wednesday live edition starting Wednesday, August 5 from 8-9pm. The two-hour season finale is scheduled at a special time on Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 9-11pm.
Airing after AGT on Tuesday nights will be the new season of World of Dance on Tuesday, May 26 from 10-11 p.m. ET/PT. NBC's hit dance competition series World of Dance is back for its fourth season with exciting new format changes and surprises. The judging panel is once again led by extraordinary dance superstars - Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough and NE-YO. Scott Evans returns as host. The series ill air through August 11. Encores will air on Friday nights at 8pm. More NBC summer series will be announced at a later date. Among the series supposedly on the schedule are American Ninja Warrior, Titan Game, Who Do You Think You Are? and new series That's My Jam.
BET+ and Tyler Perry Studios announced that the new original series Tyler Perry's Bruh will launch on Thursday, May 7 exclusively across all platforms. The first three episodes of the 24-episode season will be available to stream at launch, with a new episode dropping each subsequent week. Perry's second original series for BET+, the single-camera series follows four longtime friends as they navigate life and relationships through the strength of their brother-like bond. In a society where relationships between men of color are often misjudged and misrepresented, Tyler Perry's Bruh, embraces male vulnerability versus hypermasculinity. The cast of Tyler Perry's Bruh stars Barry Brewer as Jonathan "John" Watts, Mahdi Cocci as Tom Brooks, Phillip Mullings Jr as Mike Alexander and Monti Washington as Bill Frazier. Additional cast includes Chandra Currelley as Alice Watts (John's mother), Candice Renée as Regina (the ex-girlfriend that Bill wants back), and Alyssa Goss as Pamela (a casual girlfriend of Mike).
