Welcome to SitcomsOnline Digest! We are in yet another slow news week, but we're hearing of the death of a man who shaped TV in the 70s and early 80s, a reboot that won't be going forward, and a few renewals. Let's get going!

Fred Silverman, the man who effectively shaped all three broadcast television networks in the 70s and 80s and is in some way had some role in giving the green light to much of what we call the "classic TV" of this era, has died at age 82. (New York Times)
Beat Shazam has been renewed for a fourth season. (Variety)
With all of the shows that get rebooted, here is one that won't be (at least not for the network that was considering it), The Game. (Deadline)
The soap opera genre gets another year (or four) of drama, as Days of Our Lives was renewed for another season and The Young and the Restless was renewed for another four. (Deadline)

When Frank and Daisy lose $5,000 in union funds, they try to win the money back by gambling; Shred and Patel cover the late-night shift at the precinct.

Going Dutch - "The Heart Locker" (Fox, 9:32PM ET/PT)
After throwing out his back, the Colonel is ordered to bed rest; the base is sent to sweep for landmines at a local farm, where Major Shah suddenly finds himself in serious danger when he steps on one.
