SitcomsOnline Digest: Goldbergs Spinoff Happening After All; Grey's Anatomy Renewed for Fifteenth Season

- Remember that spinoff of The Goldbergs that got a lot of attention over a year ago before the entire idea being aborted? It turns out that it is going to happen after all, following a positive response to airing the pilot as an episode of the series. (CinemaBlend)
 - ABC has renewed Grey's Anatomy for a fifteenth season, which means The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet is being dethroned as ABC's longest running scripted sitcom. (Variety)
 - We're not sure if anybody even remembered that CBS was still airing Living Biblically, but now they aren't at all, as it has been pulled from the lineup due to low ratings. (Hollywood Reporter)
 - The Murphy Brown reboot has added Tyne Daly to the cast. (Deadline)
 - As we await the new fall season, CBS has went ahead and renewed several series. (SitcomsOnline)
 
HOME MEDIA RELEASES (APRIL 24)

- Shameless - The Complete Eighth Season (DVD, $29.99; Blu-ray, $39.99): The eighth season of the Showtime series arrives in this release.
 
WEEKLY PLANNER (APRIL 21 - APRIL 28)
- It hasn't really been seen on TV in decades (unless you count the half week that TV Land aired it over 15 years ago), but the 80s sitcom It's a Living is returning to air today on Logo, beginning at noon (let's hope they at least show more episodes than TV Land did, if not all of them eventually).
 - Laff is paying tribute to Harry Anderson, who died this week, with a special 12 hour Night Court marathon starting at 1:00 PM EST today.
 - You better be ready to "jump" with a 21 Jump Street binge on Decades this weekend.
 - The ninth season of Archer, or Archer: Danger Island as it will be called, debuts Wednesday on FXX.
 - The third season of Quantico will debut Thursday on ABC.
