SitcomsOnline Digest: The CW Renews Several Series; Second Season of The Good Place Coming to DVD

HIGHLIGHTS FROM SITCOMSONLINE.COM AND AROUND THE WEB
- The CW has announced a long list of renewals for next season. (Deadline)
- The sitcom Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will be ending after next year's fourth season, at least according to star Rachel Bloom. (Variety)
- When the idea of bringing back new episodes of Roseanne was first brought up, most people assumed it would be a non-controversial revival of the original series, but it has instead become one of the most polarizing sitcoms on the air that some people are even saying goes against the original series. (Vanity Fair)
- Meanwhile, on the opposite end of the political spectrum at ABC, Jimmy Kimmel (who was once about the most politically neutral late night host out there) has been feuding on Twitter with Sean Hannity of Fox News. (Deadline)
- It's never too early for a first cast photo from the new Murphy Brown (and, as an aside, given how political that series was originally, we imagine the reboot will be political and on steroids). (Deadline)
- For the Netflix series Everything Sucks, that title apparently must apply to the ratings as well, as the streaming serivce has canceled it after one season. (Hollywood Reporter)
- Jordan Peele is set to produce a Lorena Bobbitt docuseries for Amazon, which we sort of hope doesn't include too much detail of the actual incident. (Variety)
- Laff has acquired Home Improvement, and will begin airing it in September. (SitcomsOnline)
HOME MEDIA HIGHLIGHTS
- Shout! Factory is set to release The Good Place - Season Two on July 17.
- Even though the original release is still readily available, Universal is re-releasing The Office - The Complete Series on June 12.

When Ceci accuses Colette of only being kind for the credit, Colette anonymously gives Noa the perfect gift.
DMV - "Blindspot" (CBS, 9:00PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
Colette is crushed to learn that Noa is dating someone. So, Ceci encourages Colette to fight for him using magic. Meanwhile, Barb tries to find out who is defacing DMV property with childishly inappropriate drawings.
DMV - "There Is No I in DMV" (CBS, 9:30PM ET/PT) (Repeat)
Barb takes the team on a field trip to the rival North Hollywood branch to learn the secrets of their success. She begins to doubt herself after meeting their charismatic manager, Beau (Randall Park). Meanwhile, Gregg and Vic get in Colette’s head that Noa prefers risk-takers.

Ron and Matt try to convince a child to get his shot; Alex helps Joyce with wedding planning; Bruce and Serena butt heads over Matt.
