Hallmark Channel January 2016 with Last Man Standing; Remembering Wayne Rogers and Jason Wingreen

Last Man Standing

Hallmark Channel's January 2016 schedule begins today and will include their latest acquisition, Last Man Standing, which we mentioned a while back. The Tim Allen hit sitcom will air weeknights in primetime from 6pm-9pm beginning today (January 4, 2016) and will be shared with cable networks CMT and ABC Family. On Friday nights from 8-9pm, since ABC airs Last Man Standing, Hallmark Channel will air Tim Allen's 90s sitcom Home Improvement in the hour every Friday night. Last Man Standing will lead into primetime series The Middle from 9-11pm and The Golden Girls from 11pm-1am. The rest of the weekday daytime schedule for Hallmark has I Love Lucy 5-8am, The Golden Girls 8am-10am, original talk show Home & Family from 10am-2pm and Little House on the Prairie from 2-6pm. In late night, Frasier airs 1-4am and Cheers from 4-5am.

Last Man Standing, starring Tim Allen (Home Improvement) as the manly patriarch of a family dominated by women, is the latest addition to Hallmark Channel's highly-rated hit sitcom offerings, which include viewer favorites The Middle and Home Improvement, also starring Tim Allen. In Home Improvement star Tim Allen's hilarious return to comedy television, Last Man Standing, also starring Nancy Travis and Hector Elizondo, anchors the popular Friday night lineup on ABC. The series, now in its fifth season on ABC, revolves around Mike Baxter (Allen), an outdoor sporting goods exec whose conservative ideas are constantly challenged in a world ruled by women - his wife and three daughters. As Mike tries to maintain his macho manliness while surrounded by the strong-willed women he loves, he finds his traditional values and testosterone-fueled attitude will always single him out. With the perfect blend of wit, hilarious humor and warmhearted family moments, Last Man Standing gives a charmingly funny spin on the plight of an everyday American dad.
