Cozi TV Acquires Baywatch, Simon & Simon; ABC Family Orders 2nd Season of Freshman Drama Stitchers
It's time to head to the beach this summer on COZI TV, so get your swimsuits ready! Baywatch comes to COZI TV this August with a two-day weekend marathon on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2. More details on the marathon will come soon. Baywatch and Simon & Simon will join the regular COZI TV lineup in August starting August 3. To make room for these new additions, some of the current programs will shift time slots. Baywatch will air weekdays at 6pm, replacing an hour of Here's Lucy, which shifts to 5:30pm, as The Dick Van Dyke Show will now just air at 5pm. Baywatch will also air Monday nights in primetime at 10pm replacing It Takes a Thief. On Tuesdays in primetime, it's an all 'Hoff' line-up with Knight Rider at 8, followed by Baywatch at 9 and 10pm.
Simon & Simon will premiere on the network on Monday, Aug. 16 at 1pm. The series will also air Thursdays at 10pm. Other changes include Hart To Hart replacing Charlie's Angels weekdays at 2pm starting Aug. 16, The Six Million Dollar Man replacing The Bionic Woman on Wednesdays at 10pm, Magnum P.I. replacing Charlie's Angels Thursdays at 8, and Starsky & Hutch replacing The Border on Saturdays at 7pm. Charlie's Angels, The Bionic Woman and It Takes a Thief will be placed on hiatus.
Baywatch, originally aired in 1989 through 2001, is the award-winning show that brought the blue skies and beautiful beaches of Southern California to over one billion viewers worldwide. It's summer on the beach with veteran lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (David Hasselhoff) and his team of lifeguards as they protect vacationers on a crowded resort. The popular series is full of explosive action, daring rescues, courage, teamwork and passion.
ABC Family announced that the hit original drama series Stitchers will return for a second season. The first procedural program for the network, Stitchers is currently airing Tuesdays at 9:00PM - 10:00PM ET/PT. The summer finale will air August 4, 2015. Stitchers follows Kirsten (Emma Ishta), a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be 'stitched' into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. Working alongside Kirsten is Cameron, a brilliant neuroscientist whose passion for the program is evident in his work. The secret program is headed by Maggie, a skilled veteran of covert operations, and includes Linus, a socially immature bioelectrical engineer and communications technician. Kirsten's roommate, Camille, a gifted computer science grad student, is also recruited to use her skills to assist Kirsten in her new role as a 'stitcher.'
