Pop Orders Second Season of Schitt's Creek; LAFF Picks Up Films to Complement Sitcoms

Schitt's Creek

Schitt's Creek, the critically acclaimed hit comedy series starring Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Chris Elliott, Daniel Levy and Annie Murphy, has been picked up for a second season, it was announced by Pop, the entertainment network which launched earlier this year to celebrate the fun of being a fan. Season two of Schitt's Creek is set to air on the network with 13 new episodes in 2016. Created by father-son team Eugene and Daniel Levy, Schitt's Creek is Pop's first-ever scripted series. The 13-episode first season premiered on Feb. 11 and airs new episodes every Wednesday night at 10:00 PM, ET/PT. The show's first season finale will air on Wednesday, May 6 at 10:00 PM, ET/PT. The comedy stars Emmy(R) winners Eugene Levy (American Pie, Best In Show, SCTV), Catherine O'Hara (Home Alone, Best In Show, SCTV) and Chris Elliott (How I Met Your Mother, Late Night With David Letterman, There's Something About Mary), alongside Daniel Levy (Admission, MTV's The Hills After Show) and Annie Murphy (Blue Mountain State). The series centers on a formerly filthy rich video store magnate Johnny Rose (Eugene Levy), his soap star wife Moira (Catherine O'Hara), and their two kids, ber-hipster son David (Daniel Levy) and socialite daughter Alexis (Annie Murphy), who suddenly find themselves broke. They are forced to live in Schitt's Creek, a small, depressing town they once bought as a joke.
