Antenna TV Adds Six Series in November 2013; Jennie Garth Joins Tori Spelling Sitcom Pilot for ABC Family

Antenna TV, Tribune Broadcasting's digital multicast network, will add I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, Mister Ed, Green Acres, The Patty Duke Show and Flipper to the lineup beginning this November. Four of those series (Mister Ed, Green Acres, The Patty Duke Show and Flipper) will migrate over from new sister network THIStv. I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, Mister Ed, Green Acres, The Patty Duke Show and Flipper will join Antenna TV's line up of classic favorites such as: Dennis the Menace, Father Knows Best, Bachelor Father, McHale's Navy, Hazel, The Partridge Family, Sanford and Son, Maude, Diff'rent Strokes, WKRP in Cincinnati, All in the Family, Barney Miller, The Three Stooges, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show, The Jack Benny Program, The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin, Gidget, The Flying Nun, It Takes a Thief, Suspense Theatre, Circus Boy, The Monkees and Antenna TV Theater, a movie block featuring Sony movies.

Where will all these programs air on the schedule though? We can't release that just yet as they have not officially announced the line-up yet. But stay with us in the coming weeks for that. The line-up will begin Monday, November 4. Antenna TV, available on 79 affiliates, launched nationally in January of 2011. The network now reaches 66% of TV households.

Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling

ABC Family has cast Jennie Garth to join former Beverly Hills 90210 co-star Tori Spelling in the network's comedy pilot, Mystery Girls. Both Spelling and Garth will also serve as executive producers. The casting marks a reunion of the two from their days on the hit series. The Mystery Girls pilot, starring Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth, follows a former starlet who is roped into solving crimes with her former mystery TV show co-star when a witness to a crime will only speak to the infamous 'Mystery Girls,' which was the highest rated program of the '90s. Spelling will play Holly, who is desperate to regain her former fame and plans to resurrect her life by using her acting skills and crime "experience" to open a detective agency. Now she just has to get Charlie (played by Jennie Garth), her former co-star-turned suburban housewife and mother, on board with the plan. Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth and Maggie Malina (Single Ladies) will serve as executive producers. The story is by Tori Spelling and Shepard Boucher (Men at Work). The pilot was written by Shepard Boucher. Mystery Girls is scheduled to shoot in November.

This is just a pilot order, so stay with us if the pilot is picked-up to series or not. We don't know if this pilot will be a single-camera comedy or a traditional multi-camera sitcom, but it is favoring a single-camera feel.

CBS presents The Neighborhood: A Farewell Special, an Entertainment Tonight production, airing Monday, April 6 (8:30-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+. Hosted by Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier and filmed on location on The Neighborhood's stages, the special celebrates the acclaimed CBS comedy's final season, honoring eight seasons, 156 episodes, and eight unforgettable years of laughter, heart and community, leading up to the series finale on May 11.

This celebratory event features exclusive new interviews with the cast reflecting on their journey, revisiting early days on set, and looking back at the show's evolution and cultural impact.
