Hot in Cleveland Coming to Syndication Fall 2014; Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows (Week of July 23, 2012)

Hot in Cleveland

Late in December we told you CBS Television Distribution was selling TV Land's Hot in Cleveland for off-network syndication and some news would be reported in six-nine months, and now we have some deals to report! CBS Television Distribution has sold the hit TV Land Betty White sitcom to local TV stations in more than 65% of the United States. The strip is already sold in 9 of the top 10 markets and 18 of the top 20 for a Fall 2014 launch. CBS Television Stations in five of the top 10 markets bought the sitcom: WLNY, New York; KCAL, Los Angeles; WPSG, Philadelphia; KTXA, Dallas-Ft. Worth; and KBCW, San Francisco-Oakland; as well as Weigel Broadcasting's WCIU, Chicago; Sunbeam Television's WLVI, Boston; Gannett's WATL, Atlanta; and Belo's KHOU, Houston. Other sales include stations from Sinclair Broadcast Group, LIN TV, Cox Enterprises and Meredith Corp. CBS Television Distribution acquired the exclusive broadcast domestic distribution rights for Hot in Cleveland from TV Land last fall.
Debuting June 2010, Hot in Cleveland's premiere episode was the highest-rated telecast in TV Land's 14-year history. Through its past three full seasons, Hot in Cleveland averaged 3 million total viewers, according to Nielsen. The fourth season of Hot in Cleveland starts production in August 2012 and will start airing later in the year with 24 all-new episodes, which will bring the total to 80 total episodes after four seasons. By the time the series premieres in syndication during Fall 2014, it will likely surpass the 100-episode mark (likely 104 episodes will be available) after five seasons (but it still needs to be renewed for a season five).
Stay tuned for more clearance news we get closer to Fall 2014! The ensemble cast stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Betty White, and also features many special guest stars that pop-in like Regis Philbin, Doris Roberts, Carl Reiner, Amy Yasbeck, Don Rickles, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ed Asner, Kristin Chenoweth, Jimmy Kimmel, David Spade, Susan Lucci and many many more!
