More Boy Meets World on ABC Family; Sitcom Modern Family Is #1 Rated Scripted Series in 2010-11
Yes, this isn't too much of a gain but now you can wake up weekend mornings to watch Cory & Topanga. Relive your childhood and wake up on Saturday mornings, even though this isn't a cartoon, it's from the same era. Boy Meets World is replacing That '70s Show o on weekend mornings, but that show will still remain on weekday afternoons. Everything else remains the same as what we previously told you, which includes The Secret Life of the American Teenager getting the weekday 5pm hour starting July 18, replacing Gilmore Girls.
A sitcom finished #1 for the TV season among scripted series! For the complete 2010-11 broadcast season (9/20/10-5/25/11), ABC aired TV's #1 scripted series among the coveted Adults 18-49 with Modern Family based on Nielsen's final rankings for the season. Modern Family soared to a 6.2 average 18-49 rating in the seven-day playback finals, topping the #2 scripted series (Fox's Glee) by six-tenths of a rating point (+11%: 6.2 vs. 5.6).
Among regular live plus same day ratings, which is the same say until 3am, Modern Family averaged a 4.5 18-49 rating, so it went up 1.7 points in seven-day DVR playback from a 4.5 to 6.2. Modern Family was the biggest gainer in time-shifted viewing for the 2010-11 season as well. The series also gained 3.48 million in DVR playback as well, also the biggest gainer for the season.
Catch repeats of the sophomore comedy Modern Family all summer long on ABC Laugh On Wednesday at 9/8 central and I have noticed it is even funnier the second time around. So watch again or watch for the first time!
