TV Land Cancels Rest of TV Land Wedding Week, Changes to Sunday Mornings; VH1 Revisits The '70s!
In other TV Land news, the Better Living Through Television, which returns on Sundays 9a-12p starting July 2, will be changed a bit starting July 9. It will just be some time shifting and Addams Family and Andy Griffith will basically replace Happy Days and Brady Bunch, who will only be on for that one time (July 2). Details are here.
The '70s are back on VH1! VH1 is unleashing a programming heat wave with I Love The 70's Volume 2 premiering Monday to Friday, July 10 through 14 with new episodes airing each night at 8 and 9 PM ET/PT back to back and The World Series Of Pop Culture premiering Monday to Friday, July 10 through 14 at 10 PM ET/PT.
Here is VH1 in their own words on these two series:
VH1 breaks out its leisure suits and disco ball to celebrate the era that was truly "Dy-no-mite." We gave the sequel treatment to the 80s and 90s and now it's the 70s turn to feel the love. A groovy 10-hour, five-night flashback, I Love the '70s Volume 2 remembers the truth about the decade of disco, big collars and polyester. Celebrities weigh in on what was cool, bizarre, beautiful, puzzling and pretentious about the people, music, movies, TV shows, products, fashions, fads, trends and major events that defined pop culture during the decade. In this all-new VH1 special, I Love the 70s Volume 2, premieres two episodes per evening tapping our collective memories to cover the sublime, the ridiculous, and everything in between.
VH1 and Entertainment Weekly test the country's pop culture savvy with the new original series The World Series of Pop Culture. From the executive producer of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, The World Series of Pop Culture is the ultimate pop culture competition designed for teams from across the country to display their astounding range of knowledge about everything music, television and film in pursuit of a $250,000 grand prize, provided by Alltel Wireless. NY1 News anchor Pat Kiernan and Lisa Guerrero host.
