Lifetime August Sees 'Reba', 'Still Standing'; ALF Season 4 DVD; Warner Bros. TV DVD Chat TONIGHT!

Lifetime will be adding off-network reruns of Reba and Still Standing starting August 7. As I mentioned before, Desperate Housewives season one episodes will air weekly on Saturdays at 11 p.m. starting August 5. As for the two sitcoms, they will have four airings a day (not sure if they will be just 2 episodes with 2 repeats yet). Reba will air weekdays 1-2pm and 6-7pm, while Still Standing has landed the 12pm-1pm and 5-6pm slots. Designing Women will be off the line-up when these two sitcoms join, but not to worry as that sitcom will be joining Nick@Nite this October! Golden Girls fans will not be pleased as the show will only have three airings now--9-10am and 1am; a far cry from its current 7 airings a day. For more on Lifetime's August changes, click here.

Lionsgate has just let me know that they will release the fourth and final season of ALF on September 5! After long waits for previous seasons, for this season we will only have to wait three months, as season 3 just came out last week (May 29). No idea yet if they will release more animated sets (you know, ALFTales and ALF: Animated Adventures) that same day. Hopefully they release the Project: ALF movie as well. In other Lionsgate news, they will release Volume 5 of the original animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series on August 29. Cowabunga dude! That joins the fifth season of Will & Grace on DVD that same day.

Sticking with DVD news, Warner Home Video will have another chat with fans at HTF. You can ask them anything about TV related stuff regarding DVDs. The chat is TONIGHT (Tues., June 6) from 8-11pm ET. There will be about 5 Warner executives on hand, including Rosemary Markson, the VP of TV marketing. Now this is your chance to ask about some Warner TV series that you REALLY want to see on DVD, such as Perfect Strangers, Hogan Family, Our House, Sisters, My Sister Sam, Just the Ten of Us, Family Matters, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, etc. Is that enough?
