The Nanny Back On Nick at Nite; Sitcom Stars on Talk Shows (Week of August 22, 2011)
Well that was fast. The Nanny is back on Nick at Nite as of last night. In a last minute move, the sitcom is replacing Married...with Children on the schedule every weeknight at 12 midnight. Married...with Children is not going to air on weekends either, as the 12 midnight hour will have George Lopez starting this weekend. George Lopez will also get a special marathon tomorrow night (Saturday, Aug. 20) from 11pm-6am. And as for these regular schedule changes, they won't occur next week because Nick at Nite will air a week-long My Wife and Kids marathon from 11pm-6am from Monday, Aug. 22 through Sunday, Aug. 28. As of now, Married...with Children is not airing, but that could change come Sept. 5 when the fall schedule starts with the addition of Friends. We'll bring that to you very soon! TBS Edits Fall 2011 Schedule; All-New Happy Endings Episode On ABC Next Wednesday
We gave you TBS' Fall 2011 schedule already, but now they have made edits to it. Since Lopez Tonight has been canceled, the line-up will change. Effective Monday, Sept. 5, The Office will move to Mon-Thurs 12am & 12:30am replacing the talk show. The encore at 2am will be replaced by another hour of Seinfeld. As for The Office, it will leave its afternoon timeslot of 3:30pm, replaced by another Everybody Loves Raymond. Now those are the changes because of the cancelation of Lopez Tonight, but there are other changes as well that will begin a few weeks later. Eventually, once the MLB Playoffs are over with it, we'll see some daytime sitcom changes. Among the changes from the original fall schedule are, Meet the Browns airing for a full hour at 10am in between House of Payne at 9:30am and 11am. According to Jim moves to 11:30am, while Yes, Dear gets the full 12 noon hour. Everybody Loves Raymond will move out of its 5pm hour, but it will air for two-hours now from 2pm-4pm, leading into a two-hour block of Friends (this starts Sept. 6 actually). Some of these changes will not begin on Sept. 26, but after MLB Playoffs are over with.
Weekends will also change some, with more sitcom airings! The biggest note on weekends is that Saved by the Bell will air Sundays from 6am-8am! It's not leaving the schedule after all now, but it will only be on Sundays now starting Oct. 9. Screech and the gang will lead into two-hours of Friends from 8am-10am and Home Improvement in the 10am hour, before movies air the rest of the day on Sundays. On Saturdays, it's Married...With Children in the 6am hour still, but My Name Is Earl will now from 7am-9am. According to Jim airs at 9am, followed by three airings of Yes, Dear from 9:30am-11am. Movies will air starting at 11am, but sitcoms return usually at 3:30pm or 4pm. Jim would air at 3:30pm and more Friends from 4-6pm leading into The Big Bang Theory. One other note, The Steve Harvey Show isn't on the schedule anymore after Saturday, Sept. 24. It is probably just resting, as it was on the original fall schedule on Saturdays.

Yes, it is still summer but ABC has one leftover episode of the hilarious Happy Endings still to air from last season. The network aired 12 of the 13 episodes in the spring and didn't have room for this episode, but now we can watch it next Wednesday in lieu of the new season coming in September. The episode is "Why Can't You Read Me?" and has Jane thinking Alex is trying to steal her thunder with Jane's literacy group, so their old sibling rivalry heats up. Meanwhile, Dave is dating an attractive women's Lacrosse coach (guest star Bre Blair) with a strange quirk, and Penny finally gets an assistant (guest star Gina Rodriguez) and is determined to be the "cool boss," with disastrous results on an all-new episode airing Wednesday, August 24 at 9:30pm ET on ABC.
If you missed any of the previous twelve episodes, ABC has been airing them all summer, but if you even missed those, the first season DVD is out on Tuesday, Sept. 20 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment with all 13 first season episodes. And if that's not all, ABC Family will air a marathon of 12 of the 13 episodes (we assume the newest episode won't be in the marathon) on Friday, Sept. 16 from 5pm-11pm ET. The second season premieres Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 9:30pm right after Modern Family on ABC. So start, catch-up or re-watch them again, because they are even funnier the second time around.

Universal HD September 2011 Schedule; ReelzChannel TV To Air 2011 Creative Arts Emmy Awards
Universal HD will continue to air classics Charlie's Angels and T.J. Hooker this fall along with classic comedy Hogan's Heroes, and the sitcom Becker. There is not much to report, but we will highlight the month anyway. You can continue to catch T.J. Hooker weeknights at 6pm & 3am and Charlie's Angels weeknights at 7pm & 2am. These two also air every other week every Wednesday in marathons from 8am-6pm. Universal HD will air a 24-hour Charlie's Angels Labor Day marathon on Monday, Sept. 5 starting at 6am. As of now, nothing is planned for the 35th anniversary on Sept. 22 or anything to tie in with the new series premiering on ABC on the night of the 35th anniversary. Also, catch the 90-minute pilot for the classic Charlie's Angels on Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 4:30-6pm and also the watch the 90-minute pilot for T.J. Hooker the next day (Thursday, Sept. 29) from 6pm-7:30pm.
Elsewhere, movies air during the day on Mondays and Thursdays, with The Unit on Tuesdays, and as we mentioned above "classic" Wednesdays. The Friday night URTV block will feature more short-lived series. Joining the schedule next Friday (Aug. 26) will be the drama Wanted at 9pm, replacing Clubhouse. Effective Friday, Sept. 9, Love, Inc. will replace Life On A Stick at 10pm. At 10:30pm, Aliens In America continues to air in September.

Spike Jones Jr. is producing the Creative Arts Emmys for the 17th time. The Creative Art categories recognize technical and other similar achievements in television programming. They are commonly awarded to behind-the-scenes personnel such as art directors, costume designers, cinematographers, casting directors, and sound editors. Several of the awards The Kennedys is up for will be part of the telecast. The awards will be taped Sept. 10, then aired Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. ReelzChannel is on DirecTV channel 238, Dish Network channel 299, and available on your cable or satellite system.
The broadcast has aired on E! Entertainment Television the past 9 years.

Hallmark Channel September 2011; MTV Picks Up Original Comedy For 2nd Season
Today we will you give Hallmark Channel's September schedule. As of now though, there are no changes to the regular schedule for the enduring comedies and dramas. So we will not call this a fall schedule yet because we do not know what will happen in October. Anyway, September still has plenty of stunts and marathons! Labor Day weekend will have a Little House on the Prairie 24-hour marathon beginning at 6am on Saturday, Sept. 3. The weekend continues the very next day with a 24-hour marathon of The Waltons on Sunday, Sept. 4 starting at 6am.
Moving on to the following weekend, there will be a 12-hour marathon of M*A*S*H on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 8am-8pm, as the series cannot air out of those boundaries because TV Land has the primetime and late night rights. M*A*S*H still will return to the regular Hallmark Channel line-up, though. Frasier will follow from 8-10pm that night, followed by two-hours each of The Golden Girls, Cheers, and more Frasier, all from 10pm-4am. On Saturday, Sept. 24, the Hallmark Channel will present 24-hours of The Golden Girls starting at 6am.
Moving on to the Hallmark Channel Home block, as we mentioned previously, new series Emeril's Table will join the block this fall. The series will premiere on Monday, Sept. 26 at 11am. It will air for the full-hour from 11am-12pm, but on Mondays at 11:30am, Martha Bakes will air. Mad Hungry with Lucinda Scala Quinn will slide to 12 noon, as Petkeeping with Marc Marrone will now only air at 12:30pm. The Martha Stewart Show will continue to air weekdays at 10am, with repeats of various episodes airing at 2pm & 3pm.

MTV announced that it has picked up a second season of its critically acclaimed hit scripted comedy series Awkward. The show, which takes an irreverent look at the conflict, chaos and humor that defines teenage life, continues its season one run on Tuesday nights with 7 all-new remaining episodes. Season two will debut in 2012. Last week's episode delivered a series high 2.0 rating among P12-34, up 21% from the previous week, and was the top show in its time period among F12-34. Since its July 19 debut, 1.7 million viewers have tuned into Awkward. each week. In tonight's episode (Tuesday, August 16 at 11 p.m. ET/PT on MTV), the awkwardness continues for Jenna. On the heels of Matty telling her that he doesn't want to be in a relationship, she spots him with a mystery girl and fears he's already replaced her. Awkward. stars Ashley Rickards.

INSP - Inspiration Network Fall 2011 Schedule Has Brady Bunch; TeenNick Removes Everybody Hates Chris
INSP - The Inspiration Network has announced their fall 2011 schedule to us and it features many of the greatest family favorites in television history. New to the network are such treasured classics as Bonanza, The Big Valley, The Brady Bunch and Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. These programs reinforce the current schedule that includes The Waltons, Our House, Highway to Heaven, Wind at My Back, and others. Only Highway to Heaven will be resting come this fall, as everything else will remain airing even when these new shows start! The fall schedule commences on Monday, September 26, 2011. Prior to the premiere, INSP will air an all-day marathon of Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman on Monday, August 29 from 1pm-8pm, with an encore of the first three episodes following. The series will launch the following night, Tuesday, August 30 airing weekdays at 5pm & 6pm ET, in its regular time period, replacing Our House and Highway to Heaven. The latter will be off the schedule as we mentioned, but Our House will remain at 1am. Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman will also air weekdays at 11pm and Sundays at 1pm.
The rest of the schedule will start on Monday, Sept. 26. The Waltons currently starts at 1pm. but come Sept. 26 it will start at 1:30pm. At 2:30pm an episode of new acquired classic sitcom The Brady Bunch will air, so the duo will replace Wind At My Back in the 2pm hour. Airing at 3pm and 4pm will be another new series, The Big Valley, replacing Gospel programming. As mentioned, Dr. Quinn will air at 5pm and 6pm. The 7pm hour will feature back-to-back episodes of The Brady Bunch replacing Wind At My Back. In primetime, The Waltons will remain at 8pm and 9pm. After religious programming at 10pm, it's Dr. Quinn at 11pm, followed by The Big Valley replacing another Wind At My Back. And finally, as we mentioned Our House remains at 1am.
Weekends doesn't have much series programming, but it will have more than it does right now. Come Saturday, October 1, the Saturday schedule will have new acquisition Bonanza at 7pm and fellow new series The Big Valley at 8pm leading into two movies from 9pm-1am. The Big Valley closes the night out at 1am. The three series hours will replace religious programming. On Sundays, as we mentioned Dr. Quinn will be at 1pm and it will be followed by Wind At My Back at 2pm, its only airing during the week now. The new block will replace a movie, but the 3pm movie will remain. Another movie airs at 12 midnight on Sunday nights.
Besides the Dr. Quinn marathon on Aug. 29, the only other marathon scheduled will be The Waltons Fan Favorite Labor Day Marathon on Monday, Sept. 5 starting at 1pm ET. A Walton's Family Reunion special, which was an INSP exclusive special last fall, will air at 9pm. The special is hosted by Mary McDonough (Erin Walton) and features Richard Thomas (John Boy), Ralph Waite (John Walton), Michael Learned (Olivia Walton), Judy Norton (Mary Ellen Walton), Eric Scott (Ben Walton), Jon Walmsley (Jason Walton), David Harper (Jim-Bob Walton), Kami Cotler (Elizabeth Walton), and series creator Earl Hamner. The veteran cast reminisce about the series, its impact on American culture and family life, and what they've been up to since the series ended its original run in 1981.

TeenNick announced late last week that Everybody Hates Chris will be off the line-up beginning tonight. Why? As we mentioned, sister network Nick at Nite will return airing the series beginning tonight (2-3am and approx. 4:30am-6am). TeenNick was airing the series weeknights at 10-11pm and 4-5am, as its airings will be replaced Malcolm in the Middle, which was airing 5-6am. That hour will now be an encore of What I Like About You. No other changes will occur starting tonight on TeenNick.

Airing at 3pm and 4pm will be another new series, The Big Valley, replacing Gospel programming. As mentioned, Dr. Quinn will air at 5pm and 6pm. The 7pm hour will feature back-to-back episodes of The Brady Bunch replacing Wind At My Back. In primetime, The Waltons will remain at 8pm and 9pm. After religious programming at 10pm, it's Dr. Quinn at 11pm, followed by The Big Valley replacing another Wind At My Back. And finally, as we mentioned Our House remains at 1am.
Weekends doesn't have much series programming, but it will have more than it does right now. Come Saturday, October 1, the Saturday schedule will have new acquisition Bonanza at 7pm and fellow new series The Big Valley at 8pm leading into two movies from 9pm-1am. The Big Valley closes the night out at 1am. The three series hours will replace religious programming. On Sundays, as we mentioned Dr. Quinn will be at 1pm and it will be followed by Wind At My Back at 2pm, its only airing during the week now. The new block will replace a movie, but the 3pm movie will remain. Another movie airs at 12 midnight on Sunday nights.
Besides the Dr. Quinn marathon on Aug. 29, the only other marathon scheduled will be The Waltons Fan Favorite Labor Day Marathon on Monday, Sept. 5 starting at 1pm ET. A Walton's Family Reunion special, which was an INSP exclusive special last fall, will air at 9pm. The special is hosted by Mary McDonough (Erin Walton) and features Richard Thomas (John Boy), Ralph Waite (John Walton), Michael Learned (Olivia Walton), Judy Norton (Mary Ellen Walton), Eric Scott (Ben Walton), Jon Walmsley (Jason Walton), David Harper (Jim-Bob Walton), Kami Cotler (Elizabeth Walton), and series creator Earl Hamner. The veteran cast reminisce about the series, its impact on American culture and family life, and what they've been up to since the series ended its original run in 1981.

TeenNick announced late last week that Everybody Hates Chris will be off the line-up beginning tonight. Why? As we mentioned, sister network Nick at Nite will return airing the series beginning tonight (2-3am and approx. 4:30am-6am). TeenNick was airing the series weeknights at 10-11pm and 4-5am, as its airings will be replaced Malcolm in the Middle, which was airing 5-6am. That hour will now be an encore of What I Like About You. No other changes will occur starting tonight on TeenNick.

Summer Week 11 Sitcom Ratings; New Episodes of Sitcoms On Basic Cable
It's now the dog days of summer, but not to fret we will be back with our normal weekly ratings report with the first four nights numbers and analysis in the fall, but we still continue to have our regular how the sitcoms did all for the rest of this summer! Here are our summer ratings:

Summing it up. Repeats of The Big Bang Theory, Rules of Engagement, Two and a Half Men and Modern Family repeats were impressive for the week. Everything else was OK (such as repeats of How I Met Your Mother, Happy Endings) or just plain old terrible (such as Friends with Benefits, and the very low rated NBC Thursday repeats especially, Community). Feeling the repeat blues? Look for original sitcoms on cable all this summer, with the great Hot in Cleveland on Wednesday at 10pm, followed by the season finale of Happily Divorced starring Fran Drescher this Wednesday at 10:30pm only on TV Land. Also catch the new Comedy Wednesday on ABC Family this Wednesday with an all-new one-hour Melissa & Joey from 8-9pm, followed by the one-hour season finale of State of Georgia starring Raven Symone from 9-10pm. - Mike & Molly (CBS) - 4.87 million and a 1.3 18-49 rating for a repeat at 9:30pm was up some from previous week.
- Raising Hope (Fox) - preempted.
- The Middle (ABC) - A repeat at 8pm did 4.2 million and a 0.9 18-49 rating, down from previous week.
- Modern Family (ABC) 2 airings - A repeat at 9pm did 4.8 million and a 1.6 18-49 rating, up a tad from the previous week. A repeat at 8:30pm also probably helped doing 4.45 million and a 1.3 18-49 rating, down a lick from the previous week.
- Happy Endings (ABC) - A repeat at 9:30pm did 2.86 million and a 1.0 18-49 rating, on par with the previous week. If you have missed any episodes, keep watching! A new episode will air Aug. 24 to promote the new season and the upcoming season one DVD. ABC Family will air a marathon as well on Friday, Sept. 16 from 5-11pm. Get hooked!
- The Big Bang Theory (CBS) - A repeat did 6.52 million and a 1.8 18-49 rating, which was up some from the previous week despite preemptions in many markets due to NFL.
- Rules of Engagement (CBS) - A repeat of this comedy followed at 8:30pm with 5.32 million and 1.5 18-49 rating, which was on par with the previous week.
- Community (NBC) - A repeat only did 1.7 million and a 0.4 18-49 rating, down from the previous week and possibly a historic low in the half-hour for NBC.
- Parks & Recreation (NBC) - A repeat in its 8:30pm slot did only 1.51 million and a 0.5 18-49 rating, down from previous week which was already low.
- The Office (NBC) - A repeat at 9pm did 2.14 million and a 0.8 18-49 rating, best of the low rated block but still down slightly from the previous week.
- 30 Rock (NBC) - A repeat at 9:30pm did 1.7 million and a 0.6 18-49 rating, down some from previous week. Yes, NBC was preempted in some markets due to NFL pre-season, but that didn't hurt much for CBS' sitcom repeats and they also had preemptions.
Friday Sitcoms
- Family Guy (Fox) - For the third straight day, NFL pre-season preemptions has affected primetime, and prelim ratings show 3.28 million and a prelim 1.1 18-49 rating. Look for this to go down once the finals come.
- The Cleveland Show (Fox) - Same goes true for this airing, prelim 2.89 million and a prelim 1.0 18-49 rating.

Digital Digest: New Sony Releases; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Complete Season 9 and Tom and Jerry - Flying Fur Adventures, Vol. 2 DVD Reviews
Welcome back to this week's edition of Digital Digest! As we prepare for the fall TV season and tons of upcoming home media releases, we have some busy weeks coming up here... but unfortunately, it isn't all so busy for news this week. This week, we are back with more animated reviews, with reviews of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Complete Season 9 and Tom and Jerry - Fur Flying Adventures, Volume 2.
The series Moesha has not yet seen any DVD releases, but that is about to change--sort of. Although it won't be receiving a general release, Moesha - The First Season WILL make it to DVD sometime soon thanks to CBS DVD and CreateSpace, the manufacture-on-demand component of amazon.com. Although this may not be the preferred way of release for most people, it does provide an opportunity to view the series on DVD (for the first time), and hopefully more series that will otherwise never see the light of day will be coming soon as well. Like most CreateSpace products, no exact ship date is given yet--it'll be released when it is ready to go.
We told you last week about The Monkees being re-released on DVD, but didn't know who was releasing it. Well, now we know! The Monkees - Season One and The Monkees - Season Two (collectively comprising the entire series) are still set for release on September 27 from Eagle Rock Entertainment. Other previously unknown details have also been released courtesy of TVShowsOnDVD.com.
Sony is striking again with deep-value priced complete series collections! Coming September 27, at a $64.99 MSRP (although you can pre-order them for much less, as low as $39.99) are Married... With Children - The Complete Series and The King of Queens - The Complete Series! Although we certainly hope that they won't be (but almost fear they will be) packaged in those annoying cheap plastic "black spindles of death," it is still a good price no matter what! We hope to have reviews of these when they are released.
UPCOMING WEEK PREVIEW
Tuesday (August 16) is another light day for releases (but beware, the onslaught of releases begins the following week!) with only one sitcom release, Spin City - The Complete Fifth Season. We hope to have a review of this set soon.

DVD Review - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Complete Season 9

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Complete Season 9 (Lionsgate, $14.98) brings all 8 shell-busting episodes from the original series' second to last season, the ninth season, on DVD. Leonardo, Donatello, Michaelangelo, Raphael, Splinter, April are all back to battle a new nemesis--Lord Dregg and Hi-Tech. The turtles even have a new ninja ally named Carter to help them battle Lord Dregg. There is no Shredder and his gang this season, but it's time to shake things up with a new villain!
Starting with season four we started getting season releases. Season 4 set had 39 episodes and season 5 had 18 episodes. Season six had a total of 16 episodes on its set. Season seven had 27 episodes in four collectible "slices." Season eight only had 8 episodes, so we got that on a single disc. Prior to that we were getting volume releases. Here is a recap: Volume 6 had the last 11 episodes from season three, plus the first episode of season four. The third season had a total of 47 episodes, so they decided to split up that season into volumes, so volumes 3, 4, 5, and 6 covered season three. For season 2 there were just 13 episodes, so Lionsgate released that for volume two...so yes, technically the first two volumes were season sets. Season one had only 5 episodes, so that was on Volume 1, with four bonus episodes from the last season (season ten) actually. So do you have all of these? Hope you do dudes!
Here are the episodes with the runtimes on this disc:
1. "The Unknown Ninja" (23:55) - When Lord Dregg, a wanted criminal, successfully escapes his pursuers and arrives in Earth's region of space, he immediately schemes to replenish his power supply with the gold resources found on the planet. The Turtles foil his first attempts, stopping his army of Technogangsters from looting a vault. Meanwhile, the TMNT discover that they have been watched and aided secretly by a mysterious ninja biker, who seeks to learn from them.
2. "Dregg of the Earth" (23:59) - The Turtles and Carter find themselves at odds as their differences in opinion on what qualifies as teamwork threaten to sever their relationship. Lord Dregg makes his presence known on Earth, but dawns the cloak of sincerity, working in service of humanity. Can the TMNT expose him?
3. "The Wrath of Medusa" (23:59) - Lord Dregg summons the criminal bounty hunter Medusa to attack and defeat the Turtles, while his Technogangsters raid the neutrinium mines on Earth without interference. Carter runs into problems with his maverick mutation disease when he accidentally damages a dam, endangering lives.
4. "The New Mutation" (23:59) - Dregg successfully captures the Turtles' uncontrollable mutation problems on camera, and exposes them to the world. When faced with an increase in their powers and their maverick changes, the TMNT square off against Dreggs' Replicon, a being capable of replicating itself with each defeat into multiple forms...
5. "The Showdown" (23:59) - Carter faces an old enemy he helped to expel from their Martial Arts school years ago. However, their grudge takes a backseat when Lord Dregg contacts an alien promoter looking to take the TMNT to his perverse death tournaments. He transports Leonardo, Michelangelo, Carter and his foe, leaving only Donatello and Raphael behind on Earth, to counter Dregg's latest scheme to make use of a new Mutation device.
6. "Split-Second" (24:00) - The Turtles must deal with their increasingly frequent mutations as they battle The Replicon, a battle droid that can regenerate itself upon each defeat. Carter and April take on a slug-like creature known as The Slorr, which is overtaking New York.
7. "Carter the Enforcer" (24:00) - The Turtles battle two mysterious beings attempting to kill Carter. They later learn their names are Landor and Merrik, two time travelers who have come to eliminate Carter before he can betray the Turtles and the Earth to Dregg, who is developing The Star Shield, a weapon capable of enslaving the planet.
8. "Doomquest" (24:00) - The Turtles' mutations continue to cost them dearly when they lose control briefly and tear through Times Square. Dregg finally acquires the vortex crystal, with which he can summon his scattered armada directly to Earth by warping space itself. But one other individual wants the Crystal - his name is Doomquest, an old enemy of Dreggs'. The battle for the vortex crystal leads the Turtles to a startling new discovery, but it also leads to the near destruction of Earth...
The packaging has an outer box that holds a keepcase inside. It is very simple since it is a one-disc set that has just eight episodes. The outer box is a lenticular O-card. It's a hologram type. The cover art has the Turtles in battle mode with Donatello featured and Michaelangelo, Leonardo and Raphael in the background. The color scheme is orange. The show logo is on the top, with "The Complete Season 9" mention in the middle right and the "produced by Fred Wolf Films" all the way on the top. The back of the box has info on the series and set, with a yellow box listing all eight episode titles. Radical! We also have three small episodic photos, along with a nice shot of Michaelangelo. The cover and back of the case are exactly the same as the outer box, so no need to tell you what is on the case. When we open the case, we have the disc on the right panel. There is no artwork or anything on the panels itself, it is just a plain black background. The disc art has Donatello leading the attack (same as the cover art). Bodacious!
The menu screen has been similar to since about season six. First, we get auto-trailers before the main menu appears with trailers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles S8, Thor, Speed Racer: The Next Generation, Battle for Terra and Alpha & Omega. Then after that is done, we come to the main menu screen. The theme song is playing in the background, and it does loop, and the photo is similar to the box art with each turtle. We also have video clips playing in an orange background. The theme song is the new theme song that started in season eight. Weird that they didn't change the theme in season nine, since the lyrics mention Shredder. The menu options are: Play All Episodes, Episode Selection, Trailers. Episode Selection takes us to a submenu with episode #, title, and a screenshot from the episode. Gnarly!
The video is on par with the other volumes, with dust and debris here and there and on par with previous recent seasons, especially season eight. The audio is also on par with the previous releases, not bad...and listenable. It's not remastered, but this is the best we have and it beats our taped VHS versions. The episodes are around 24 minutes, so everything is unedited. The fill one-minute opening theme is on every episode. We get 5 chapter stops per episode again. Sensei Master Splinter likes!
Seasons four and five had extras, but then season six had absolutely nothing! Then for the 25th anniversary set, we had a lot of extras for season seven. We got nothing for season eight and the same goes true for season nine. Last season was the point in time when the Turtles episodes start getting a bit weird, so I guess we should not expect any more extras even if the next release is the final season. There is no Shredder even on this season, so Lord Dregg is in control!
I still urge fans to buy this set even though there are no special features and even if this season is a bit strange. There are only eight episodes, so you could finish this set in a day and if you have all eight seasons so far, then you need this to continue your collection. Only Season 10 remains to be released and we got four of those eight episodes on the first ever release. Seasons eight through ten had 8 episodes each, so expect another one-disc set for season ten, unless they go all out for the final season. Anyway, the tone of the show became darker in season eight and it continues here with new villain Lord Dregg. Yes, Shredder fans will not be happy, but he returns for a few episodes in season ten with Dregg! So that will be fun. The art style changed significantly in season eight and beyond...but it's still our Turtles and you need to get this set dudes to continue your collection! They're heroes in a half-shell and they're green!

One of the classic "cat and mouse" games of TV has been the classic cartoon Tom and Jerry. Of course, the series is older than TV, and shorts were shown in movie theaters, but through reruns on TV over the decades, we've all gotten to know them. There's Tom, the cat, and Jerry, the mouse. They're always out chasing each other with their never-ending rivalry that often ends very violently. Now, there are 14 episodes on DVD in a single disc collection. Here is our review of Tom and Jerry - Fur Flying Adventures, Volume 2.
DVD Review: Tom and Jerry - Fur Flying Adventures, Volume 2

Tom and Jerry - Fur Flying Adventures, Volume 2 (Warner, $14.98) The Tom and Jerry cartoon series has always been a favorite of kids and adults alike, as clever mouse Jerry outwits dim-witted cat Tom in constant chases. The series began in the 1940s on theater screens, created by the genius duo of William Hanna and Joseph Barbera for theatrical shorts. Their tradition was carried on by other filmmakers including Chuck Jones, and several TV adaptations were produced as well. What we have with this disc, is a sort of grab-bag from all eras. Animation collectors can pass this disc up for sure, as all of these shorts have been released on previous, better sets. The disc is mainly made up of the Chuck Jones-produced shorts of the late 1960s, which have already had a much better, complete series set released on DVD in anamorphic widescreen. Three shorts from the original Hanna-Barbera theatrical series. However, this disc also contains several cartoons from the recent, inferior Tom and Jerry Tales TV series, which don't hold a candle to the old theatrical shorts. However, if you are a parent, looking for an inexpensive disc of Tom and Jerry cartoons your kids will enjoy, this might be a good route to go.
Here is the list of shorts, followed by the year produced if theatrically released, or the TV series they came from. They seem to be unedited, but have other problems that I will get into later:

The single disc comes in a Viva Eco-case, which is purportedly more environmentally friendly because it contains less plastic and can be recycled. The front of the case has the title of the disc along with a shot of Tom and Jerry playing in a swimming pool. The back has a description of the disc, along with the duo playing a different kind of pool as Jerry tries to keep balance on a cue ball that Tom is about to shoot. The disc itself is metallic with the outlines of the characters along with the Tom and Jerry logo. The packaging is attractive and should appeal to kids and families.
The main menu is a little boring but functional. The background image maintains the pool theme as Jerry has made a hammock between an annoyed Tom's ears. Spike is in the background grilling a steak. The theme from the Hanna-Barbera years plays in the background. Your menu choices are "Play" which will play all fourteen shorts in succession, "Episodes" which will let you choose a short, "Trailers" which lets you choose to view a trailer for The Looney Tunes Show or the Peanuts disc Snoopy's Adventures. "Languages" lets you choose from a wide variety of subtitles (English, French, Spanish, or Portuguese) and spoken languages (English, Spanish, or Portuguese). There are no chapter stops within the shorts themselves, but pressing the "next" button during the Play All function skips ahead to the next short.
Audio and video quality are as much of a mixed bag as the shorts themselves. The correct aspect ratio for almost every short on this disc is anamorphic widescreen, yet only some of the shorts are presented that way. The 1957 short "Tops With Pops" is in widescreen, but you are forced to look at black bars at the top and bottom of the screen even if you own a widescreen television The Tom and Jerry Tales shorts should be in widescreen as well but they are not. Some of the Chuck Jones shorts are in their proper widescreen aspect ratio, but some are not. and the two early 1950s shorts are in their proper full-screen. As far as the actual quality, the recent shorts are unsurprisingly clear and crisp, with stereo sound. Some of the 60s-era shorts are in good quality with remastered audio and picture, but others are grainy and blurry, looking like TV prints from the past.
There are no special features and I wouldn't expect any on a budget release aimed at kids and families.
Overall, if you're looking for something cheap to entertain your kids who like the violence and action of the Tom and Jerry cartoons, then this is definitely a possibility. On the other hand, if you are a collector or just a fan of animation in general, there's already a complete set of the Chuck Jones cartoons which is in much better quality and a DVD/Blu-ray collection of the Hanna-Barbera shorts begins later this year. The Tom and Jerry Tales shorts are completely worth passing up. This disc is designed for a specific audience, and I'm sure will satisfy their needs.

Bundyology (www.bundyology.com) - The website Bundyology may just appear to be another run-of-the-mill ordinary website about Married... with Children at first glance, but before we go any further, anytime that we talk about a website about a specific TV show in Click of the Week, we like to make sure it goes above and beyond the potential that it has. And Bundyology does just that. The website is one of the oldest websites on the web, and it doesn't feature flashy graphics or the most advanced web technology. In fact, most pages are nothing more than just basic HTML coding. And furthermore, the creator of the site is not even a native English speaker--he speaks German. But none of that is important, because if you want to know any of even the most minute details about the series, this website has just about everything that you could possibly be looking for.
The site has a complete episode guide for the series, of course, but that is only the beginning of the treasure-trove of information that you can find on there. You can find out every single song that was played in each episode of the series. If you want to read a script from an episode (sometimes even pre-production versions), you can find many of them within the website. You can find family trees, precise timelines, inconsistencies throughout the series, complete details of edits made to DVD releases, articles and memorabilia from the original airing of the series, and so much more at Bundyology. It is rare to find such a treasure trove of information for a single TV series, but Bundyology definitely fills the bill.

There are many authors out there who write books about classic television, and Eddie Lucas is not new to the game. In 2007, he wrote the book Close-Ups: Conversations with Our TV Favorites (see our review), where he had conversations with classic TV stars from series from the 50s all the way into the 80s. The conversations were very thorough and detailed, and the book was the text of the actual conversation, and not just a paraphrasing. Now he has a new book, with even more conversations, with Living Room Legends: Chats with TV's Famous Faces. Here is our review of his latest book.

In this book, Lucas brings us eleven more raw interviews with TV stars including Jim Nabors, Donna Douglas, Rose Marie, Tom Lester, Janet Waldo, Phyllis Diller, and more.
Much like his previous book, this one is also divided into a chapter for each star featured in the book, with eleven chapters in this book. This book has a strong emphasis on stars from the 60s and early 70s. In this book, chapters are featured for the following:

Each chapter of the book begins with a brief introduction and biography (about two pages or so) about the star, then, like his previous book, it dives straight into conversations. We get the raw and unedited authentic conversations with the stars, and while there are no major bombshells dropped anywhere in the book, we do get a very nice lighthearted (and modern) view of each of these stars. Along the way, we get to see some photos of the stars in their heyday as well as modern photos of the stars.
In the chapter on Jim Nabors, we learn that it was decided very early in his run on The Andy Griffith Show that a spinoff was in the works. In fact, many people don't realize it, but his tenure on The Andy Griffith Show was very short, and only about a year and a half long. Donna Douglas talks about beating out over 500 other girls auditioning for the role of Elly Mae on The Beverly Hillbillies and the store of the Clampett family dog Duke--there were actually four separate Dukes! I couldn't place a face with a name for Pat Carroll prior to reading her chapter (the table of contents only lists The Danny Thomas Show), but then she became very recognizable to me when she talked about her role as Henry Rush's boss, Hope Stinson, on the final season of Too Close for Comfort (originally retitled The Ted Knight Show). She easily qualifies as one of the more unsung stars of television that you see everywhere, but just don't know her name, as her chapter demonstrates. Rose Marie, of course, is well known for her role on The Dick Van Dyke Show, and in her chapter, she talks about that series (and how she almost left the series), as well as other series that she appeared in, and even her younger days as a child actress.
Shelley Morrison was another name that didn't immediately ring a bell, but it became very obvious who she was when the introduction indicated that she played the English-mangling Sister Sixto on The Flying Nun. She is currently doing voice work for a Disney cartoon series targeted to preschoolers. Ronnie Schell, of course, was all over TV in the 60s, playing in Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. and working on That Girl (both filmed on the same lot). His experiences of working with Bea Arthur on an episode of The Golden Girls are an interesting read. Tom Lester talks about the aborted spinoff of Green Acres that would have starred him and Arnold the pig, and how he really didn't enjoy doing the Return to Green Acres movie, is it just wasn't the same. We learn from Lucie Arnaz that Here's Lucy worked on a very tight production schedule and that, even though Lucille Ball was a forceful boss, she actually hated being the boss and just wanted to be Lucy.
We all know Judy Jetson, but not all of us know Janet Waldo, the voice behind her. She talks a lot about her work with Lucille Ball and about being replaced on Jetsons: The Movie (and the hate mail that Joe Barbera's secretary had to hide from him in response). Pat Priest talks almost exclusively about The Munsters and her surprise at how young Al Lewis was at his death. The book ends with a chapter on Phyllis Diller, who never really had any major roles on any scripted TV series, but is still recognizable from so many series.
Fans of television, particularly fans of 60s television, are sure to enjoy this book. At just under 350 pages, it is a book that one can read through very quickly, or just skim through the chapters that they are interested in. Like his previous book, this is definitely worth having in your classic TV book collection.

ION Television Fall 2011 Schedule; Nick at Nite Makes Edits To Edits; Lopez Tonight Canceled, Office Reruns Fills in
We sort of gave you a sneak peek at ION's Fall 2011 schedule when we gave you the timeslots for new additions Monk and Psych starting Aug. 21, but now we have the actual fall schedule. What starts on Aug. 21 will be somewhat what you see this fall, but ION will add two more hours to the schedule every weekday starting Monday, Sept. 26! Yes, that means ION Television will start their day now at 1pm ET (instead of 3pm), like they do on weekends. Kicking off the schedule will be Ghost Whisperer airing Mon-Wed from 1pm-4pm. Movies will air from 1-3pm on Thursdays and Fridays, with Monk filling the 3pm hour on Thursdays and Fridays. But that's not all for Monk, it will air every weekday at 4pm & 5pm, replacing Ghost Whisperer. So, that means Monk will air weekdays 4pm, 5pm and 12am, with 3pm airings on Thursdays and Fridays. It will also air weekends from 6pm-10pm, as it will later this month.
The rest of the fall schedule will be the same as we announced for the Aug. 21 schedule. The only changes to fall, as of now, is the expansion of 1-3pm every weekday. The most notable change is The Nanny will be off the schedule completely, as it was set to move to 3am. Now it is off the line-up, as Nick at Nite made some edits from 11pm-5am. Everybody Hates Chris is getting a second life, as it will air weeknights in the 2am hour and three in a row every night from approx. 4:30-6am. Also not on the schedule anymore will be Home Improvement, which was only scheduled to air Sunday nights at 2am. Both The Nanny and Home Improvement will still be seen on sister network TV Land. Finally, Family Matters has been reduced to only the 6am hour. See the full schedule, because we won't go into more detail here as we did a story yesterday already.
Finally, in some sad news, TBS has canceled Lopez Tonight after nearly two years on air. Tonight will be the final episode for the late night talk show starring George Lopez and will feature guests including Eva Longoria tonight, who was his first ever guest. The series has faltered in the ratings since moving to 12 midnight back in November when Conan started and made the show move from 11pm to 12am. When we gave you TBS' Fall 2011 schedule, Lopez Tonight was of course on that schedule, but the cancelation announcement was made yesterday. Filling in for Lopez Tonight starting next week will be back-to-back episodes of The Office (it is unclear what will air in the encore time period of 2am, but likely the 3am movie will move up to 2am). TNT Fall 2011 Schedule Has Smallville; Nick at Nite Removes Summer Marathons Early
Today it's TNT's turn on the fall 2011 schedules barrage! TNT will start their fall schedule on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011. Joining the line-up will be Smallville, airing weekdays at 12 noon ET following Supernatural at 10am & 11am. Smallville will bump the Las Vegas from 12-2pm to 1-3pm. The 2pm airing of Las Vegas will replace Cold Case, which is now off the line-up. The rest of the schedule seems to be the same as it is right now, with back-to-back Angel, Charmed, and Supernatural in the mornings. Smallville at noon, then back-to-back Las Vegas, an airing of The Closer, and then a double shot of Law & Order from 4-6pm. Law & Order will air at 6pm & 7pm, too, but Wednesdays and Thursdays it is Bones. At 8pm, it's the same thing but The Mentalist is on Wednesdays in primetime. CSI: NY airs in late night from 11pm-2am.
In addition to Cold Case being off the schedule, it seems TNT recently dropped NUMB3RS and Without a Trace, too. Both series were relegated to the overnights. More Law & Order airs now from 3-6am. As for Smallville, the series just concluded its long run on The CW this past May. It hasn't been seen on cable since it aired on ABC Family from 2004-07. TNT aired Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman for years, so this might be a good fit for Smallville.

Then the 3am hour will be The Nanny, as it gets pushed to the overnight. Returning to the schedule will be Everybody Hates Chris airing from approx. 4:24am-6am. FamilyNet Fall 2011 Schedule; FEARnet Orders Original Sitcom
Last month we told you that Lou Grant is returning to FamilyNet (and that started yesterday), now we have the FamilyNet Fall 2011 schedule! They will be adding five new series to the schedule, but the most popular one by far will be I Spy. The Robert Culp-Bill Cosby '60s series will premiere Thursday, Sept. 1 and will air weekdays at 8am ET and 1am ET. The fun series will also air Saturdays at 1pm and late night on Sundays at 2am. Half-hour series The Lone Wolf from the '50s and British series The Saint from the '60s will air weekdays in the 7am ET and 2am ET hours, paired with I Spy. All three series will be replacing original program The Kevin McCullough Show, which will not be seen anymore.
FamilyNet will also add the Canadian series The Beachcombers airing weekdays in the 3pm ET hour replacing the British series series Black Beauty, as that will be leaving the schedule. One more series being added to the FamilyNet line-up will be on weekends. The series is The New Zorro, which ran from 1990-93. It will follow I Spy on weekends airing Saturdays at 4pm ET and Sunday nights at 3am ET. The new Saturday 3-5pm block will be replacing a movie while the Sunday night block of 2-4am will be replacing Black Beauty.
Every other series on FamilyNet will remain where it is, including The New Flipper weekdays at 4pm ET, Lost in Space Mon-Thurs 5pm & 6pm ET, Lou Grant Mon-Thurs 7pm & 8pm ET, and Sue Thomas F.B.Eye Sundays at 7pm & 8pm ET.

FEARnet, cable television's premier horror, thriller and suspense channel, has given a series order to Holliston, an outrageous and offbeat multi-camera, half-hour buddy comedy series starring directors Adam Green and Joe Lynch. Created by Green, the sitcom is scheduled to start production later this year and will be the network's first original production.
The show, set in the town of Holliston, MA, follows the lives of Adam and Joe, two friends chasing the dream of becoming successful horror movie filmmakers while struggling to make ends meet and dealing with life and the opposite sex in their post-college jobs at a Boston cable access station where they also host a late night movie program called The Movie Crypt.
They are joined in the ensemble cast by Laura Ortiz and Corri English. Tapping into their real-life genre entertainment relationships, Lynch and Green have promised FEARnet a string of exciting cameos that will bring added buzz and realism to the initial six-episode series order. Holliston is intended to take a slot on FEARnet's Tuesday night "Twisted Comedy" block, a horror-comedy lineup that launched earlier this month with a distinctive pair of scripted series: Todd & The Book of Pure Evil, a supernatural high-school comedy featuring Jason Mewes, and Psychoville, an award-winning, British black-comedy thriller that centers on a group of characters haunted by a mysterious blackmailer.

USA Network Fall 2011 Schedule; 2011 TCA Awards Winners
Today on the cable fall schedule barrage, we have USA Network. Like nearly all of the Universal-owned networks, USA Network doesn't have a set schedule, but they air series in blocks. Series that air in blocks for them are NCIS, Law & Order: SVU, House, and Law & Order: Criminal Intent getting most of the action. USA Network also airs CSI a few times a week in late fringe, such as Fridays at 10pm. USA will also have the exclusive off-network rights to premiere CSI Seasons 11 (and beyond) beginning this fall. And the only sitcoms on the network are Becker and Wings and they are still being used as a filler in late nights or early mornings. The only show that regularly airs at a set time is Monk, airing weekends at 6am.
We do have one change, though! USA Network will start airing reruns of NCIS: Los Angeles every Wednesday at 7pm starting Wednesday, Sept. 28 in between marathons of the original series NCIS. We previously announced this, but the series will not air five days a week until Fall 2013, so for now, it is just once a week. Among original series, all of the summer entrees will be ending in August or September. The 27th Annual TCA (Television Critics Association) Awards were held on Saturday night. The final season of DirecTV/NBC's Friday Night Lights took home the award for "Program of The Year." Winning its second consecutive TCA Award, ABC's Modern Family took home the award for "Outstanding Achievement in Comedy." AMC's Mad Men received the award for "Outstanding Achievement in Drama," its third in this category, having previously won the distinction in 2008 and 2009. The award for "Individual Achievement in Drama" went to actor Jon Hamm (Don Draper, of AMC's Mad Men) while actor (and host of the TCA Awards) Nick Offerman (Ron Swanson, of NBC's Parks and Recreation) shared the honor of "Individual Achievement in Comedy" with fellow actor Ty Burrell (Phil Dunphy, of ABC's Modern Family).
In addition to recognizing the year's finest programming, the TCA bestowed a Heritage Award on CBS's former series The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961-66) for the cultural and social impact the program has had on society. We do have one change, though! USA Network will start airing reruns of NCIS: Los Angeles every Wednesday at 7pm starting Wednesday, Sept. 28 in between marathons of the original series NCIS. We previously announced this, but the series will not air five days a week until Fall 2013, so for now, it is just once a week. Among original series, all of the summer entrees will be ending in August or September. TCA Summer 2011 Press Tour: Fox and ABC; Summer Week 10 Sitcom Ratings; New Episodes of Sitcoms On Basic Cable
Before we get into our regular Sunday ratings blog, we want to give you a recap of Fox at the TCA press tour on Friday and ABC's first day today. First up for Fox was the executive session with Kevin Reilly. New comedy Breaking In, which was kind of canceled, is still being considered for the previously announced two-hour Tuesday comedy block planned for Tuesdays in March and early April. "It still has a shot. They've agreed to extend an option so we've kept it alive. And you know what, stranger things have happened," Reilly said. So maybe Fox has their back, as the theme song goes, "we've got your back!" Stay tuned! He also noted that Bones will only have 13 episodes this season because it will share its timeslot will spin-off The Finder, which will also have 13 episodes.
Among the major announcements, Fox announced the schedule for The X Factor. Hosted by Steve Jones, the two-night series premiere of The X Factor will showcase the live auditions which took place in front of audiences of thousands, around the country Wednesday, Sept. 21 from 8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT and Thursday, Sept. 22 also from 8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT. Auditions from Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark and Seattle, as well as from YouTube and the nationwide MyStudio audition booths, will continue the following week on Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 29 for two full-hours each. Hopefuls who pass the initial auditions will travel to Los Angeles for "Boot Camp" beginning Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 8:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) and continuing Thursday, Oct. 6 from 8:00-9:30 PM ET/PT). Wednesday, Oct. 12 and Thursday, Oct. 13 will also feature 90-minute episodes. Then a special Tuesday airing will be held on Oct. 18 from 8:00-9:30 PM ET/PT. Glee and Raising Hope will be preempted on that date, but new comedy New Girl will air at a special time of 9:30pm. During a special extended Tuesday airing on Oct. 25 (8:00-10:30 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), the judges will reveal who has earned one of the coveted spots among the season's finalists (all three regular Tuesday series will be preempted). It will then be up to America, as well as the judges, to decide who moves forward in the competition starting with the first performance show featuring the finalists from each category on Wednesday, Nov. 2 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed). The season will conclude on December 21 and December 22. Reilly says the 90-minute editions of X Factor in October will be used as lead-ins for additional airings of its comedies as well as perhaps Mobbed specials.
Fox also announced that Dec. 5 will be the date for the second annual Great American Country Awards. Then it was off to panels with the casts and crew of Allen Gregory, I Hate My Teenage Daughter, MasterChef, Hell's Kitchen/Kitchen Nightmares, New Girl, Primetime Emmy Awards, Raising Hope, Terra Nova, and The X Factor.
ABC started their first day of the press tour today. There were two announcements and some other tidbits. During the executive session, Paul Lee (President of ABC Entertainment) revealed a lot. Before we get to the major announcements, we learned an episode of Castle will feature a Marvel character this season. He also revealed ABC will air three Hallmark Hall-of-Fame movies this season, with the first being in late November/early December. And Lee had nothing but good feedback so far from nearly all of its new shows, except mid-season sitcom Work It, which he joked, knew nobody would like at TCA but will have a loyal following (maybe like According to Jim?). Lee also said no replacement voice has been found yet for the voice of Charlie for the new Charlie's Angels, but an announcement will come soon and that some of the original Charlie's Angels (Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson, Chery Ladd) could guest star at some point.
On to the major announcement, ABC announced today that this season will be the final one for the landmark series Desperate Housewives. The decision was made jointly by series creator Marc Cherry and ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee. All good things eventually come to an end, and in the eighth and final season, the stakes for everyone on Wisteria Lane are at an all-time high. Season Eight of Desperate Housewives will roll out on Sunday, Sept. 25, in a way that is accessible even to viewers who may have lapsed in their viewing, and be all the richer and more rewarding to the series' loyal fans. For Season Eight, Carlos' murder of Gaby's evil stepfather and the cover up by Susan, Gaby, Bree and Lynette has far reaching effects. Feelings of guilt begin to overcome everyone in different ways. Susan starts to withdraw from her friends and family, and Gaby works to reach out to Carlos while his guilt weighs heavily upon him. As Lynette and Tom are grappling with their disintegrating marriage and impending separation, Lynette is having trouble making the right choices ever since she participated in the cover-up. And Bree must be especially careful around her new love, Detective Chuck Vance (Jonathan Cake). Meanwhile a new sexy neighbor moves to town, Ben Faulkner (Charles Mesure, V), and he's Renee's first order of business. Marc Cherry's pilot Hallelujah will be redeveloped and we could potentially see it in 2012-13 and Cherry said it is "a different animal" and would prefer something new than a spin-off of Desperate Housewives.
ABC also announced that the spectacular celebrity cast for the new season of Dancing with the Stars will be announced live on ABC, Monday, August 29 from 8-10 pm, during that evening's episode of Bachelor Pad. Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke once again host the live unveiling of the all-star cast. The stars, the drama, the glamour and the glitter are back on ABC, as Dancing with the Stars returns for Season 13 on Monday, Sept. 19 from 8:00-10:00 p.m., ET with a sensational two-hour season premiere. Then on Tuesday, Sept. 20, there will be two hours of original programming, beginning with the special Dancing with the Stars: Meet the Cast at 8:00 p.m., ET, followed by the premiere of Dancing with the Stars the Results Show at 9:00 p.m., ET.
Then it was panels with the cast and producers of Pan Am, Charlie's Angels, ABC Daytime Session and The Chew, followed by The Chew Lunch, an ABC Family Executive Session, then more show panels with Once Upon a Time, Man Up! and Revenge. Then it is off to the Disney-ABC Television Group All-Star Cocktail Reception!
Tomorrow during day two of the ABC portion, panels for Last Man Standing and Suburgatory will be held along with a set visit to sophomore drama Body of Proof. We'll recap that tomorrow along with the list of the winners from the TCA Awards from Saturday night.

Summing it up. Repeats of The Big Bang Theory, Rules of Engagement, and both Modern Family repeats were impressive for the week, along with week 9's The Simpsons, Family Guy & American Dad 9:30p. Everything else was OK (such as repeats of Two and a Half Men, The Middle) or just plain old terrible (such as Friends with Benefits, and the very low rated NBC Thursday repeats especially, Community). Feeling the repeat blues? Look for original sitcoms on cable all this summer, with the great Hot in Cleveland on Wednesday at 10pm, followed by the penultimate week of the first season of Happily Divorced starring Fran Drescher this Wednesday at 10:30pm only on TV Land. Also catch the new Comedy Wednesday on ABC Family this Wednesday with an all-new Melissa & Joey at 8pm guest starring Christine Lakin, who we just interviewed, followed by week seven of new comedy State of Georgia starring Raven Symone at 8:30pm (last week we get FOUR ALL-NEW episodes from 9-11pm). Loretta Devine is very sassy in this series and makes Mrs. Roper look tame! Also of course House of Payne and Meet the Browns are on TBS Wednesdays. New sitcom airings is the perfect way to beat the summer repeat blues! Watch them! And on premium cable, it is of course Curb Your Enthusiasm, Weeds, and Entourage among the entrees.

- The Simpsons (Fox) - A repeat at 8pm did 3.64 million and a 1.7 18-49 rating, down a lick from previous week but a decent summer showing in 18-49.
- Bob's Burgers (Fox) - A repeat at 7:30pm did 2.11 million and a 1.0 18-49 rating, on par week-to-week but still could be better since 7:30 builds heavily usually from 7pm.
- Family Guy (Fox) - A repeat at 9pm did 4.17 million and a 2.1 18-49 rating, up from previous week and the best summer showing for a comedy since early summer.
- The Cleveland Show (Fox) - A repeat at 8:30pm did 3.38 million and a 1.6 18-49 rating, which was up some week-to-week.
Monday Sitcoms
- How I Met Your Mother (CBS) - 3.72 million and a 1.1 18-49 rating for a repeat at 8pm was on par with the previous week.
- Two and a Half Men (CBS) - 5.24 million and a 1.3 18-49 rating for a repeat at 9pm is also on par week-to-week, but it was below normal.
- Mike & Molly (CBS) 2 airings - 4.78 million and a 1.1 18-49 rating for a repeat in its normal 9:30pm slot was down some from previous week again. But an 8:30pm repeat earlier did 3.98 million and a 1.1 18-49 rating, which was the same as the previous week in 18-49.
- Raising Hope (Fox) - preempted.
- The Middle (ABC) - A repeat at 8pm did 4.34 million and a 1.2 18-49 rating, up from previous week's below normal performance for a repeat.
- Modern Family (ABC) 2 airings - A repeat at 9pm did 4.34 million and a 1.5 18-49 rating, up a tad from the previous week. A repeat at 8:30pm also probably helped doing 4.36 million and a 1.4 18-49 rating, also up some from the previous week.
- Happy Endings (ABC) - A repeat at 9:30pm did 2.78 million and a 1.0 18-49 rating, up a tad from the previous week. If you have missed any episodes, keep watching! A new episode will air Aug. 24 to promote the new season and the upcoming season one DVD. ABC Family will air a marathon as well on Friday, Sept. 16 from 5-11pm. Get hooked!

- 30 Rock (NBC) - A repeat at 9:30pm did 1.97 million and a 0.8 18-49 rating, on par with the previous week. It's sad that 3 of the 4 comedies for NBC were under 2 million.
