George Lopez Coming to COZI TV; The Morning Show Season 4 Trailer

The George Lopez sitcom is joining the COZI TV lineup on Labor Day - Monday, September 1. To celebrate, they are kicking it off with a special Labor Day Launch Marathon! It all begins Monday, Sept. 1 at 8AM/7C on COZI TV! The hit family sitcom takes centerstage of the all-time great comedy lineup of COZI TV!

The beloved entertainer plays a dad who juggles work and family, with his gorgeous wife Angie, rebellious teenage daughter Carmen and irrepressible son Max. Did we mention his acerbic live-in mother Benita? No one escapes her wicked wit! Altogether it's an iconic family sitcom with a spicy dash of Latino culture – based loosely on the stand-up comic's own California childhood as a Mexican-American. Stories with heart and humor – and some yelling, too. That’s the Lopez way! Ay wey!

Starting Tuesday, September 2 it will join the regular lineup of COZI TV hit comedies (with The King of Queens, Roseanne, Frasier, The Nanny, Married... with Children, Bob Hearts Abishola and The Munsters) airing weeknights from 10PM to Midnight plus afternoons from 2PM - 4PM ET. COZI TV is now all sitcoms from 8am-5am on weekdays!

Apple TV+ unveiled the trailer for the highly anticipated fourth season of its the award-winning, acclaimed and global hit drama, The Morning Show. Starring and executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, alongside showrunner and executive producer Charlotte Stoudt and director and executive producer Mimi Leder, The Morning Show returns for season four on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 with the first episode, followed by one episode weekly until November 19, 2025.

The Morning Show season four opens in spring 2024, almost two years after the events of season three. With the UBA-NBN merger complete, the newsroom must grapple with newfound responsibility, hidden motives and the elusive nature of truth in a polarized America. In a world rife with deepfakes, conspiracy theories and corporate cover-ups — who can you trust? And how can you know what’s actually real?

Along with Aniston and Witherspoon, the star-studded ensemble cast includes two-time Emmy Award winner Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Nicole Beharie and Emmy Award-winner Jon Hamm, and welcomes Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper and Boyd Holbrook and Academy Award winners Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons.

Prime Video George Lopez Special; Netflix Renews The Lincoln Lawyer for Season 4

Prime Video announced the premiere date for George Lopez: Muy Católico. The one-hour special will premiere on February 18 on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. In an interview last year, Lopez announced that Muy Católico will be his last stand-up special. In Muy Católico, which was shot live from the Dolby Theatre last year, George Lopez brings his reflections on aging, Latino family dynamics, and cultural quirks in his final stand-up special. He hilariously embraces the challenges of getting older and touches on generational clashes and Latino superstitions. Bold and personal, Lopez delivers his comedic voice to stories that capture both the humor and heart of his journey one last time.

Lopez's illustrious and multi-faceted career encompasses television, film, stand-up comedy, and late-night television. Lopez has broken ground for Latino comics by embracing his ethnicity, confronting racial stereotypes, and fighting for his community on and off the stage. In 2024, TIME Magazine selected George as one of their 2024 Latino Leaders. He stars in and executive produces his multi-camera comedy series for NBC, Lopez vs Lopez, featuring his real-life daughter, Mayan Lopez. The family sitcom, recently renewed for its third season, stars father and daughter in a fictionalized version of their real-life relationship, exploring dysfunction, reconnection, and all the pain and joy in between.

Netflix announced it has renewed The Lincoln Lawyer for a fourth season, with production set to begin in February in Los Angeles. Season 4 will consist of 10 episodes and will be based on the sixth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly, The Law of Innocence. Fan favorite Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will return as Mickey Haller, alongside Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), and Angus Sampson (Cisco). Neve Campbell (Maggie McPherson) is also set to return for all episodes of the new season.

The Lincoln Lawyer continues to be one of Netflix's most fan-beloved series to date. Season 1 set the tone for the show's global success, spending 12 consecutive weeks in the Netflix Global Top 10, reaching the Top 10 in 90 countries. Season 2 also saw much success both on the charts and behind the camera as it quickly climbed the Netflix Global Top 10 securing 40 million views and reaching the Top 10 in 81 countries. Season 3 continued the trend, dominating the Netflix Global Top 10 with 6 consecutive weeks on the charts and also debuted with a perfect 100% score from Critics on Rotten Tomatoes. The series also made strides in moving the needle on gender-balanced hiring, earning a ReFrame Stamp for its second season.

Prime Video announced a new stand-up special from the visionary comedian George Lopez. The taping will take place at the Los Angeles dates of his ALLLRIIIIGHHTTT! Comedy Tour, September 27 and 28 at the Dolby theater. The premiere date for the one-hour special will be announced at a later date. Fox, Mani and Rittenhouse round out the cast of series regulars while Ireland joins as recurring guest star. They join previously announced cast members Jon Tessa Thompson (Anna), Jon Bernthal (Jack) and Pablo Schreiber (Richard). From visionary filmmaker William Oldroyd, the six-episode limited series is adapted from Alice Feeney's novel of the same name. The series begins production this fall. 6 episodes have been ordered.

NBC Orders Full Season of Lopez vs. Lopez; Apple TV+ Christmas Collection

NBC has picked up an additional 9 episodes of the new comedy series Lopez vs. Lopez, bringing the first season total to 22 episodes. Lopez vs Lopez is the #1 NBC comedy launch on Peacock, where reruns of George Lopez (2002-2007) sitcom also air. The series has the strongest English-dominant Hispanic index among the major four broadcast networks. George Lopez is back in primetime and this time he's bringing his real-life daughter, Mayan. This hilarious and heartwarming comedy tells the story of a working-class old-school Latino who moves in with his modern Gen Z daughter as they rebuild their dysfunctional relationship one argument at a time. It's old vs. new, father vs. daughter, Lopez vs. Lopez. The cast includes George Lopez, Mayan Lopez, Selenis Leyva, Brice Gonzalez, Matt Shively and Al Madrigal.


Apple TV+ is ready to help kids and families get in the holiday spirit with a joyous lineup of new episodes of Apple Original series, as well as the streaming debut of classic holiday Peanuts specials. "Interrupting Chicken" A Chicken Carol Holiday Special
In the holiday special, A Chicken Carol, Ebenezer Wolf decides to cancel the holidays so, Piper teams up with the Three Little Pigs and some ghostly friends to change his mind. This animated preschool series which debuts globally on Apple TV+ November 18 is based upon “Interrupting Chicken," the 2011 Caldecott Honor-winning book series written and illustrated by David Ezra Stein, introduces children to the joy of storytelling - starting with a young little chicken named Piper who has a habit of interrupting storytime! Every time Piper hears a story, she can’t help but jump in, ask questions and let her imagination run wild as she tries to fill in details, guess what happens next or insert herself in the middle of the action to help save the day. In partnership with Mercury Filmworks, Interrupting Chicken is executive produced by Ron Holsey, David Ezra Stein, Loris Kramer Lunsford, Clint Eland and Chantal Ling, and stars the voice talents of Sterling K. Brown. Dr. Lucy Calkins serves as reading and writing expert through the Apple TV+ changemaker initiative.

“Pretzel and the Puppies” Merry Muttgomery! Holiday Special
In “Merry Muttgomery!,” when a heavy snowfall jeopardizes the annual holiday festival, the pups find unique ways to celebrate with all the snowed-in dogs in the city. Based on the beloved canine from the classic book “Pretzel” by award-winning authors Margret and H.A. Rey, creators of “Curious George,” the original series follows a modern dog family led by stay-at-home dad Pretzel, his five adorable Dachshund puppies, and mom Greta, the mayor of Muttgomery. Together, the Doxies are always sniffing out ways to “make their bark” on their doggie hometown and make it a better place for their four-legged friends and neighbors. “The Snoopy Show” Happiness Is the Gift of Giving Holiday Collection
In “Happiness Is the Gift of Giving,” Snoopy adapts a Christmas poem to help Sally sleep, Charlie Brown makes gifts for his pals, and Snoopy finds waiting to open his presents a challenge. An Apple TV+ original series from Peanuts and WildBrain, “The Snoopy Show” gives the world’s most iconic dog his close-up and dives into new adventures with the happy-dancing, high-flying, big-dreaming beagle, who’s joined by best friend Woodstock and the rest of the Peanuts gang. Josh Scherba, Anne Loi, Stephanie Betts, Paige Braddock, Craig Schulz and Mark Evestaff serve as executive producers. Alex Galatis serves as story editor.

“I Want a Dog for Christmas”

George Lopez Reunion on Lopez vs. Lopez on Dec. 16; Marc Maron Gets HBO Comedy Special

We are getting a reunion for George Lopez, the hit ABC sitcom that aired for six seasons from 2002-2007. The reunion will happen on the Christmas episode of George's current sitcom Lopez vs. Lopez on Dec. 16 at 8|7c on NBC! The episode titled "Lopez vs. Christmas" will feature George with Constance Marie, Valente Rodriguez, Luis Armand Garcia and the great Belita Moreno! They will join George's current cast of Mayan Lopez, Selenis Leyva, Brice Gonzalez, Al Madrigal as Oscar and Matt Shively. The only main members missing from the George Lopez reunion are Masiela Lusha, Aimee Garcia and Emiliano Díez. Details on the episode are being kept under wraps, but Constance Marie will play a character named Connie, Belita Moreno as Bella, Valente Rodriguez as Val, Luis Armand Garcia as Louie.

HBO has announced a new stand-up comedy special featuring Marc Maron, set to debut in 2023. The special, which will feature all-new material, will be taped in front of a live audience at New York City's Town Hall on Thursday, December 8. Marc has starred in the Netflix comedy-drama series GLOW, and his scripted series Maron which aired for four seasons on IFC.

NBC Orders Lopez vs. Lopez Sitcom for 2022-23 Season; Amazon Renews Upload for Season 3

After picking up Quantum Leap last week, NBC has ordered another new series for 2022-23, this time a multi-camera sitcom: Lopez vs. Lopez. The George Lopez sitcom will join already ordered multi-camera sitcom Night Court for 2022-23. From Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, Mohawk Productions, Travieso Productions, Mi Vida Loba and 3 Arts, W/EP Debby Wolfe, Supervising W/EP Bruce Helford, NW/EP Katie Newman, NW/EP Michael Rotenberg and Talent/EP George Lopez & Mayan Lopez. The series will star George Lopez, Mayan Lopez, Selenis Leyva, Brice Gonzalez, Matt Shively, Laci Mosley (recurring) and Kiran Deol (recurring). In the series, a working-class family comedy about dysfunction, reconnection and all the pain and joy in between. The series will air on NBC and will be available next day on Peacock. Amazon Studios announced it has renewed the fan favorite sci-fi comedy series Upload from Emmy Award-winning writer Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation) for a third season. Season Three will exclusively stream on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Season Two of Upload premiered March 11, 2022, and has remained a Top 10 series on the service ever since. The series also landed on Nielsen's Top 10 Originals list.

Upload is a sci-fi comedy series set in a technologically advanced future where hologram phones, 3D food printers, and automated grocery stores are the norm. Most uniquely, humans can choose to be "uploaded" into a virtual afterlife. In Season Two, Nathan is at a crossroads in his (after) life: His ex-girlfriend Ingrid has unexpectedly arrived to Lakeview hoping to strengthen their relationship, but his heart still secretly yearns for his customer service angel, Nora. Meanwhile, Nora is off the grid and involved with the anti-tech rebel group "The Ludds." Season Two is packed with new near-future concepts, including Lakeview's newest in-app digital baby program called "prototykes" and other satirical glimpses of the technological advances and headaches to come. The series was created by Greg Daniels, who also serves as executive producer along with Howard Klein. Series stars: Robbie Amell as Nathan, Andy Allo as Nora, Kevin Bigley as Luke, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha, Owen Daniels as A.I. The 73rd Emmy® Awards were broadcast live from L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on the CBS Television Network, hosted by Cedric The Entertainer and produced by Done+Dusted and Hudlin Entertainment. Among the big winners were The Crown and The Queen's Gambit with 11 wins each, SNL with 8 wins, Ted Lasso with 7 wins along with The Mandalorian also with 7 wins. Either Ted Lasso or Hacks swept the entire major comedy categories with Lead Actor, Lead Actress, Writing, Directing, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress and Outstanding Comedy! The TNets (TBS, TNT, truTV) are honoring Latinx Heritage Month by airing an exciting array of programming across the networks that celebrate, honor, and recognize members of the Latinx community. Programming includes a Latinx Heritage movie marathon of Overboard (2018), Hot Pursuit and The Hitman's Bodyguard on TNT & TBS; a Tacoma FD marathon on truTV September 26 & October 10 both from 12pm-2pm; a George Lopez marathon on TBS October 2 from 6am-12pm; and a prime time showing of Fast & Furious and Fast Five on TNT October 15.

TBS Brings Out Halloween Sitcom Episodes on Halloween; Remembering Conchata Ferrell of Two and a Half Men

Halloween isn't cancelled this year! Get in the spooky season spirit with some fan favorite Halloween themed episodes on TBS. On Friday, October 30, catch Halloween episodes of American Dad!, Family Guy and Bob's Burgers from 3pm-8pm. Then on Halloween itself on Saturday, October 31, it's sitcom Halloween episodes beginning at 6am. First up is Family Matters from 6am-8am, which includes when Urkel's dummy "Stevil" comes to life on Halloween. Then from 8am-10am catch George Lopez Halloween episodes from 8am-10am, which includes "Leave it to Lopez" where George has nightmares that hark back to his childhood television fixation. Moving on, it's Seinfeld Halloween episodes from 10am-12pm, which includes "The Opera." And the sitcom spooky episodes conclude in daytime with Brooklyn Nine-Nine from 12pm-2:30pm, where you will see all Halloween Heists! After some movies, you can catch Halloween episodes of The Big Bang Theory in primetime from 9pm-11pm, which includes when Sheldon tries to spook his friends on Halloween.

Actress Conchata Ferrell, who was best known for her role as Berta the housekeeper in Two and a Half Men, has died. She died on October 12 from complications following cardiac arrest at the Sherman Oaks Hospital in Sherman Oaks, California. Ms. Ferrell was 77.

Ferrell's first starring role was as April Green in the short-lived 1975 ABC sitcom Hot l Baltimore, which was produced by Norman Lear. April was the love of Bill Lewis (James Cromwell), the desk clerk at the dilapidated Hotel Baltimore. The show's title came from the cheap establishment's neon marquee which had a burned-out letter "e". The series also starred Richard Masur, Al Freeman Jr., Jeannie Linero, Gloria LeRoy, Robin Wilson, Stan Gottlieb, Lee Bergere, Henry Calvert and Charlotte Rae.

Some of her early sitcom guest appearances included Maude, One Day at Time (1977), Blansky's Beauties, Good Times and The Love Boat. Her early drama guest appearances included The Rockford Files, The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo, Knot's Landing, B.J. and the Bear (five episodes as Wilhelmina "The Fox" Johnson), McClain's Law, Lou Grant, Quincy M.E., Cagney & Lacey and St. Elsewhere.

She starred as Nurse Joan Thor in the short-lived 1984-1985 CBS sitcom E/R. She was the head nurse in the emergency room (E/R) at a fictional Clark Street Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. The cast included Elliott Gould, Marcia Strassman, Mary McDonnell, Lynne Moody, Shuko Akune, Corinne Bohrer, Bruce A. Young, Luis Ávalos, Jason Alexander, George Clooney, William G. Schilling and Jeff Doucette.

Ferrell appeared as Dr. Madeline Stoessinger in the CBS sitcom Hearts Afire from 1993 to 1995. Madeline was a friend and progressive soul mate of Georgie Anne Lahti Hartman (Markie Post). Ferrell had first made guest appearances as Dr. Ruth Colquist in two episodes in 1992. The cast included John Ritter, Justin Burnette (1992-1994), J. Skylar Testa, Clark Duke, Billy Bob Thornton, Wendie Jo Sperber (1992-1993), Doren Fein and Leslie Jordan (1993-1995).

She played Marge, the raspy owner of the diner, in the short-lived 1996 ABC sitcom Townies. The series starred Molly Ringwald, Jenna Elfman, Lauren Graham, Billy Burr, Ron Livingston, Lee Garlington, Dion Anderson and Joseph Reitman.

Ferrell appeared as Aunt Pam, a disgrunted postal worker, in the 1997-1998 ABC sitcom Teen Angel. The series starred Mike Damus, Corbin Allred, Maureen McCormick, Katie Volding, Jordan Brower and Ron Glass.

Her best known role was as Berta in all twelve seasons of the 2003-2015 CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men. Berta was Charlie's (Charlie Sheen) housekeeper, a sharp-tongued woman who initially resists the change to the household, but grudgingly accepts it. Ferrell had a recurring role in the first season before becoming a regular for the remaining seasons. She received Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2005 and 2007 for the role. The cast included Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones, Holland Taylor, Marin Hinkle, Melanie Lyskey, April Bowlby (seasons 3-4), Jennifer Taylor (seasons 6-7), Amber Tamblyn (seasons 11-12) and Ashton Kutcher (seasons 9-12).

Some of her other sitcom guest appearances included Night Court, Sledge Hammer!, Hooperman, Who's the Boss?, Dinosaurs (voice), The Naked Truth, Minor Adjustments, Friends, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Becker and Grace and Frankie. She appeared as Shirley in five episodes of the Netflix sitcom The Ranch in 2017.

She had a recurring role as Attorney Susan Bloom in the sixth season of NBC's L.A. Law from 1991 to 1992. Ferrell received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 1992 for her role. She first appeared as Lorna Landsberg in a 1988 episode. She played Kate Galindo, a secretary, in the short-lived 1989 CBS drama Peaceable Kingdom. She played Martha, the owner and operator of Martha's Boarding House, in the short-lived 2002 ABC drama Push, Nevada. Some of her other drama guest appearances included Murder, She Wrote, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, JAG, ER and Judging Amy.

Some of her film roles included Deadly Hero (1976), Network (1976), Heartland (1979), Mystic Pizza (1988), Edward Scissorhands (1990), True Romance (1993), Crime and Punishment in Suburbia (2000), Erin Brockovich (2000), K-Pax (2001) and Mr. Deeds (2002).

Ms. Ferrell was a talented and funny character actress. She made everything she appeared in much better. Berta wasn't one of TV's best housekeepers as far as cleaning, but she was one of the funniest. We thank her for the many laughs and entertainment she brought us during her long career. She will be deeply missed.

2002-2007 Sitcom George Lopez Coming to TBS; Guests Announced for black-ish Election Special

Fan-favorite sitcom George Lopez is coming to TBS! Starting September 28 to November 1, catch daily episodes of the 2002-2007 sitcom George Lopez on the comedy network every morning! It is airing weekdays usually from 8-10am ET and on weekend mornings beginning at 6am ET. George Lopez joins the TBS early morning block with 2 Broke Girls, Family Matters, and Everybody Loves Raymond - all starting usually at 4am ET. George Lopez has been on Nick at Nite since 2007 but it left the network earlier this month, as the rights expired. The series originally aired on ABC and starred George Lopez, Constance Marie, Luis Armand Garcia, Masiela Lusha, Valente Rodriguez and Belita Moreno, with Emiliano Díez and Aimee Garcia joining the series in later seasons.

The Johnsons and black-ish return to ABC with a special one-hour television event on Sunday, Oct. 4 from 10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT, immediately following the NBA Finals Game 3. The two back-to-back episodes, which will air ahead of the official season seven premiere on Wednesday, Oct 21 at 9:30 p.m. EDT, will follow the Johnsons as they navigate the upcoming election, with Junior (Marcus Scribner) embarking on his journey as a first-time voter and Dre (Anthony Anderson) launching an exploration into local politics. On his campaign trail, Dre seeks advice from an animated Stacey Abrams, the former Minority Leader of the Georgia House of Representatives. Later, he joins Desus Nice and The Kid Mero on their late night talk show Desus & Mero for a sit-down interview with some hard-hitting questions for the aspiring candidate.

In "Election Special Pt. 1," (10:00-10:30 p.m. EDT), Junior is excited for his first time voting but discovers he has been purged from the voter polls so he does a deep dive into why - trying to understand the systems in place for voter registration. "Election Special Pt. 1" is directed by Matthew A. Cherry and written by Eric Horsted. Then, in a special animated episode, "Election Special Pt. 2," (10:30-11:00 p.m. EDT), Dre's colleague Stevens makes an ill-advised decision to run for Congress, so Dre enlists his family's help and campaigns against him but gets caught up with fundraising and private interest groups. "Election Special Pt. 2" is directed by Matthew A. Cherry and written by Graham Towers & Ben Deeb. Stacey Abrams, Desus Nice and The Kid Mero guest star as themselves.

Fri-Yay: Sitcoms in 2020; Peacock Streaming Services Programming Update

It's time for another edition of Fri-Yay! That means we will take a look back on some sitcom happenings in recent days or weeks or other fun sitcomy stuff. It's a sitcom lover's paradise! Happy Fri-Yay!

As we enter a new decade, it's reasonable to ask: what direction are sitcoms headed in? The last few years of the 2010s saw the end of many long-running and beloved comedy series. This year we will see more sitcoms ending, such as The Good Place, BoJack Horseman and Modern Family. It might be the end of an era in many ways, but here’s a few notable events coming up this year that I'm looking forward to.

1. The finales of BoJack Horseman and The Good Place. As sad as I am to lose two of my favorite shows on TV, if there's any shoes that I think could pull off an amazing ending, it's these two. These shows are not only extremely funny, but their plotting and character development was out of this world. I'm really interested to see where they go next.

2. One Day at a Time's debut on Pop TV. We've seen plenty of examples of TV sitcoms going to streaming services - but this will be the first time seeing the reverse happening. One Day at a Time always felt a little out of place on Netflix and more like it would be at home on old-fashioned TV anyway - let's see if it’s still the extremely funny, thoughtful and lovable series when it moves to cable this March.

3. AP Bio's move to NBC's Peacock (more news on this below). I liked but didn't love AP Bio on NBC, and felt like it never quite lived up to its potential. I'm interested to see if the series can take off to the level I know it’s capable of on its new home without as much network influence. It hasn't always worked that way when sitcoms move to streaming networks, but maybe this will work out for the show.

4. The new Ted Danson series being directed by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock on NBC. As a 30 Rock super fan I'm really excited for this, especially given how good Danson was on The Good Place.

These are just some of the most exciting sitcom events I'm pumped for this year. I'm really interested to see what else this year has in store for sitcoms!

At a Comcast investor presentation held in the iconic Studio 8H of 30 Rock, NBCUniversal unveiled Peacock, a free premium ad-supported streaming service with subscription tiers offering more than 600 movies and 400 series, as well as compelling live and on-demand content across news, sports, late night, and reality. From world-class originals and treasured hits, to blockbuster films and streaming channels, Peacock will offer consumers everything fans love to watch, all in one place. Xfinity X1 and Flex customers will have early bird access to Peacock Premium starting April 15. And beginning July 15, taking full advantage of the massive promotional opportunity of the Tokyo Olympics, Peacock Free and Peacock Premium will be available nationally on popular web, mobile and connected-TV devices. The company expects to reach 30-35 million active accounts by 2024.

Taking a different strategic approach, the company announced a tiered offering that gives consumers broad access to Peacock across web, mobile and connected-TV devices:

· Peacock Free: This free, ad-supported option will provide fans everywhere with more than 7,500 hours of programming. Peacock Free includes next day access to current seasons of freshman broadcast series, complete classic series, popular movies, curated daily news and sports programming including the Olympics, Spanish-language content, select episodes of marquee Peacock originals and tent-pole series, as well as curated Peacock streaming genre channels such as "SNL Vault," "Family Movie Night" and "Olympic Profiles."

· Peacock Premium: Bundled at no additional cost to 24 million Comcast and Cox subscribers, this ad-supported option will additionally include full season Peacock originals and tent-pole series, next day access to current seasons of returning broadcast series, early access to late night talk shows, and additional sports - such as the Premier League - totaling more than 15,000 hours of content. Also available for $4.99 per month on all popular connected mobile and web devices for non-bundled customers.

Peacock will stream the ratings juggernaut brands from Dick Wolf's Wolf Entertainment, including Law and Order, Law and Order: SVU, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med. These dramas are consistently among the top-rated shows on television and among the most-streamed shows across platforms. Peacock will also stream Paramount Network hit series Yellowstone, the record-breaking drama, licensed from ViacomCBS. Yellowstone is co-created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, and is co-produced by David Glasser's 101 Studios. Additionally, Two and a Half Men and The George Lopez Show from Warner Brothers were announced. As previously announced, Peacock will offer some of the most popular NBC and classic TV series of all time, including 30 Rock, The A-Team, Battlestar Galactica, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Cheers, Covert Affairs, Crossing Jordan, Everybody Loves Raymond, Frasier, Friday Night Lights, House, Jeff Foxworthy Show, King of Queens, Leave it to Beaver, Magnum P.I., Married... With Children, Miami Vice, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Parenthood, Psych, Roseanne, Saturday Night Live, Saved by the Bell, Superstore and Will & Grace. Peacock will feature a library of top kids shows that range from new friends to characters beloved for generations including Care Bears, Curious George library, He-Man & Masters of the Universe, Punky Brewster (Animated), Sabrina the Teenage Witch, She-Ra and Woody Woodpecker.

Additional newly announced Peacock originals include Tina Fey-produced original series Girls5Eva, about a one-hit-wonder girl group from the 90's that reunites to give their pop star dreams one more shot; international series from NBCUniversal International Studios, including drama thriller The Capture, fresh off its rating success on the BBC in the UK, and comedy Lady Parts, launching on Channel 4 in the U.K., as well as three highly anticipated new comedies from Sky Studios: Intelligence starring David Schwimmer, Code 404 and Hitmen; a racing series from Dale Earnhardt Jr.; and a behind-the-scenes documentary series that follows USA Basketball superstars on their journey to Tokyo, produced in partnership with the NBA. Previously announced Peacock scripted originals include comedies such as Rutherford Falls, Saved by the Bell, A.P. Bio, Punky Brewster and the movie spinoff Psych 2: Lassie Come Home, as well as dramas Dr. Death, Battlestar Galactica, Brave New World, Angelyne and Armas de Mujer.

Fri-Yay: 2017-18 New Sitcoms; Nick at Nite Fall 2017 Schedule with The Goldbergs

It's time for another edition of Fri-Yay! That means we will take a look back on some sitcom happenings in recent days or weeks or other fun sitcomy stuff. It's a sitcom lover's paradise! Happy Fri-Yay!

Last week, I took a look at the returning sitcoms that I'm looking forward to this fall. This week, I'll be doing something similar - only instead of returning series, I'll be taking a glance at some of the most exciting new sitcoms the networks have to offer this year. I'll be honest - it seems like a bit of a light slate this year, and not much is quite popping out to me as super promising. But there's still a handful of interesting shows that I think might be worth tuning into. I haven't seen any of these shows yet, but these are the shows I'm most looking forward to based on their trailers, promos, synopses and cast details.

The Mayor (ABC) - Of all of the network sitcoms premiering this fall, The Mayor has the most promise. The series follows a young rapper named Courtney who decides to run for mayor of his small California town as a joke and a publicity stunt, only to actually win. With a stacked cast (including Community's Yvette Nicole Brown and Glee's Lea Michele), an interesting (and uh, incredibly relevant) premise, and promos that already have some pretty good jokes, The Mayor is the comedy I'm most looking forward to this fall, and I'm hoping it delivers on its promise.

Ghosted (Fox) - Ghosted is another high-concept comedy from FOX, who has been experimenting in sci-fi-meets comedy for the past few years, sometimes to success (like with The Last Man on Earth, entering its fourth season this fall) and sometimes to...less success (such as with the quickly cancelled Making History). Ghosted is described as "an action-packed comedy about two down-on-their-luck polar opposites tasked with saving the world from aliens.") This sounds like the sort of show that will either be a delightfully weird and wild time or a total train-wreck. Either way, it should be a good time!

Will & Grace Revival (NBC) - Okay, well, technically this isn't a new series, but...it sort of is, right? It's a revival of long-running hit Will & Grace, which aired on NBC from 1998 to 2006 and is coming back for a ninth go around this fall. I'll be honest, I don't have super high hopes for Will & Grace: the original series had its moments but feels a little dated already, and I'm not sure there's much of a place for it in the current TV landscape. Still, it's always interesting when a long-dead TV show makes its way back onto the airwaves and tries to make itself relevant in a different era. I'll be watching Will & Grace and hoping it's better than I'm expecting it to be.

Me, Myself & I (CBS) - This is another high-concept comedy, but this time from CBS, who typically plays it a little more conventional (although they do have the uniquely-structured Life in Pieces which they've found some success with, so maybe they're getting a little more daring.) It revolves around follows a single character, Alex (portrayed, primarily, by Bobby Moynihan) in three distinct parts of his life: adolescence (1991) adulthood (present day) and old age (in 2042). Bobby Moynihan was a long-running staple of Saturday Night Live who had tons of hilarious characters and impressions, so I'm interested to see how he transitions into a starring role. He certainly has the talent to carry a show on his own, and the concept here is pretty fascinating, so hopefully everything settles into place and this can be the star vehicle that Moynihan deserves.

Those are the network sitcoms that have stuck out most to me this year based on their initial concepts and promotion, As usual, though, I'm always hoping to be surprised by an underdog who comes out of nowhere and surprisingly becomes excellent. Either way, I'll be checking out all of the sitcoms that the networks have to offer, as usual, hoping for the best!

Nickelodeon is bringing Walkmans, stonewashed denim and big hair to Nick at Nite with the addition of the popular family sitcom The Goldbergs, beginning Monday, Sept. 18, at 1 a.m. (ET/PT). The series follows the adventures of the Goldberg family as they share the ups and downs of life together in the '80s. Following the series launch, the four-season, 95-episode library of The Goldbergs will continue to air daily at 1 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nick at Nite. The Goldbergs is entering its fifth season this fall on ABC. The comedy will premiere on Monday, September 18, 2017 and will air every night at 1:00am & 1:30am. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air will move down to 2-3am, with George Lopez overnight getting sliced to 3am-7am. Nick at Nite's prime schedule will remain as is, with Full House and Friends from 8pm-1am. However, the week after starting Sept. 25, Fresh Prince will air in the 10pm hour as well, taking an hour from House. Back to The Goldbergs, it will also premiere on local broadcast syndication as we mentioned before, starting Sept. 11 with stations like WPIX in NY airing it weeknights at 7:00pm & 7:30pm. And also as we mentioned before, The Goldbergs will air in primetime on Pop TV starting Tuesday, Sept. 26. More info on Pop TV's schedule will be coming soon, so stay tuned.

In The Goldbergs, there was a simpler time called the '80s--before there were parenting blogs, trophies for showing up and peanut allergies. For geeky and movie obsessed youngest child Adam (Sean Giambrone), these were his wonder years, and he faced them armed with a video camera to capture all the crazy. The Goldbergs are a loving family like any other--just with a lot more yelling. Mom Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) is a classic "smother," an overbearing, overprotective matriarch who loves her delicious kids, but still rules this brood with 100% authority and zero sense of boundaries. Dad Murray (Jeff Garlin) is gruff and sometimes oblivious, parenting with half his attention span but all his heart. Sister Erica (Hayley Orrantia) is popular and terrifying, doing her best to cover up that she's the smartest of the clan. Barry (Troy Gentile) is a passionate dreamer, who maybe dreams a little too big and who always gets the short end of the stick. Adam (Sean Giambrone) is the youngest, a camera-wielding future director who's navigating first love, and growing up with his family. Rounding out the family is beloved grandfather Al "Pops" Solomon (George Segal), the wild man of the clan, a shameless Don Juan who's learning as much from his family as he teaches them.

The Goldbergs stars Wendi McLendon-Covey (Bridesmaids) as Beverly Goldberg, Sean Giambrone as Adam Goldberg, Troy Gentile (Good Luck Chuck) as Barry Goldberg, Hayley Orrantia (The X Factor) as Erica Goldberg, with George Segal (Just Shoot Me) as Pops Solomon and Jeff Garlin (Curb Your Enthusiasm) as Murray Goldberg.

Antenna TV Acquires Welcome Back, Kotter; George Lopez Goes Live on HBO

Antenna TV announced that many sitcoms were coming in 2017, but Welcome Back, Kotter wasn't on that list... but it's coming soon! In fact the classic '70s sitcom joins the line-up this September. Antenna TV still has at least 5 other sitcoms coming in 2017, including The Hogan Family, Growing Pains, Head of the Class, Alice and Murphy Brown. No word on any timetables just yet on those, or a date for Kotter in September. You'll just have to continue to keep it right here as we get that Fall 2017 schedule. Welcome Back, Kotter was on the MeTV Network, but was removed earlier this year, as looks like they have lost rights to the series. The series starred Gabe Kaplan as a wisecracking high school teacher in charge of a racially and ethnically diverse remedial class called the "Sweathogs." "Ladies and gentlemen, I'm back!" HBO has confirmed that the stand-up comedy special George Lopez: The Wall, Live from Washington D.C. will debut Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 p.m. live ET/tape-delayed PT. His fourth live solo stand-up special on the network, the exclusive presentation will feature Lopez performing all-new material before an audience at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. This special marks the first HBO special that Lopez is doing in five years. His other specials for the network were America's Mexican (2007), Tall, Dark, & Chicano (2009) and It's Not Me, It's You (2012). You can watch the trailer below for the new special:

George Lopez Show Reunion on Lopez; Bravo Orders Season 2 of Imposters

A George Lopez show reunion is happening tonight on TV Land! It is all happening on George's new single-camera comedy Lopez, now in its second season and airing Wednesdays at 10:30pm on TV Land. In the episode, "George Dates His Daughter," George is asked out on a date by a beautiful woman: the actress who played his daughter on his old TV show. Yes, Masiela Lusha (Carmen from George Lopez) guest stars. That's not all, Constance Marie (his wife Angie from George Lopez) also guest stars! It's a mini-reunion with George, Constance and Masiela. Too bad no Ernie (Valente Rodriguez), but this is great to see! You can still catch George Lopez reruns on sister network Nick at Nite every night in the overnight. It will be fun and interesting to see how this episode of Lopez plays out with Masiela and Constance guest starring. Tune in! In this new Lopez, the series revolves around George as he struggles with wanting to give back to the Latino community where he grew up, but also feeling as though he can never satisfy all the demands placed on him by both the celebrity world and his hometown.

Bravo Media and Universal Cable Productions (UCP) surprised the cast of the original, scripted series Imposters Monday night during the For Your Consideration Emmy(R) event, announcing that the series was picked up for season two. Production will commence this fall on 10 episodes. The series follows Maddie (Inbar Lavi, Gang Related), a persona shifting con-artist who is as beautiful as she is dangerous, leaving her unwitting victims tormented when they realize they have been used and robbed of everything - including their hearts. But things get complicated when her former targets, Ezra (Rob Heaps, Frankenstein and the Vampyre: A Dark and Stormy Night), Richard (Parker Young, Suburgatory) and Jules (Marianne Rendón) team up to track her down. While pursuing her newest mark, Maddie meets a potential love interest, Patrick (Stephen Bishop, Being Mary Jane), which threatens to derail her assignment, much to the chagrin of her mysterious boss, The Doctor. Lopez to Return on TV Land for 2nd Season; Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Returns June 16

TV Land announced the second season order of original comedy Lopez starring and executive produced by stand-up comedian and actor George Lopez. Lopez is currently in its first season on TV Land, airing Wednesdays at 10pm and full episodes can be viewed on the TV Land App. The first season finale airs on Wednesday, June 22. The series revolves around George as he struggles with wanting to give back to the Latino community where he grew up, but also feeling as though he can never satisfy all the demands placed on him by both the celebrity world and his hometown. TV Land is also airing reruns of George's first series, George Lopez weeknights at 8pm. Lopez is also executive produced and written by John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky (Silicon Valley, King of the Hill). Michael Rotenberg (It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia) of 3 Arts Entertainment also served as executive producer alongside Troy Miller, who also directed all episodes of season one and produced the show via Dakota Pictures.

Crackle, Sony's free streaming network, will premiere Jerry Seinfeld's original series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee with a new episode every Thursday starting on June 16. Guests set to appear in season eight of the Emmy® nominated series includes (not in air-order): comedienne Margaret Cho, SNL creator Lorne Michaels, stand-up comic Jim Gaffigan, Last Week Tonight host John Oliver, actor JB Smoove and writer/producer of some of the biggest hit films, Judd Apatow. Crackle's Original Movie, Dead Rising: Endgame, based on the hugely popular Dead Rising video game franchise by Capcom, which has sold over 9.1 million copies worldwide, will premiere on June 20. The action-packed zombie thriller produced with Legendary Digital Media, stars Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives, Dallas), Billy Zane (Zoolander 2, Titanic) Dennis Haysbert (24, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For), Marie Avgeropoulos (The 100), Jessica Harmon (iZombie) and Keegan Connor Tracy (Once Upon a Time, Bates Motel). Sports Jeopardy!, Crackle's sports-centric game show hosted by Dan Patrick, will continue to air new episodes weekly, every Wednesday.

New programming arriving to Crackle in June include: Blue Crush starring Kate Bosworth, the supernatural horror film Insidious, the 2006 biographical drama, The Pursuit of Happyness starring Will Smith, sports drama Gridiron Gang starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, additional episodes of Seinfeld and much more. George Lopez Show Joining TV Land Schedule in May; Mom Heads to the White House

After a marathon airing of George Lopez this past Saturday (April 23) on TV Land, the network will now air the series as a regular beginning next week. On Sunday, May 1, the popular 2002-2006 ABC sitcom is joining the TV Land line-up! The Sunday, May 1 debut will feature a debut block from 8-11pm. After that special stunt, it will air every night at 10pm & 10:30pm beginning Monday, May 2. Of course TV Land airs original episodes of George's new comedy Lopez every Wednesday night at 10pm. Now the 10pm hour every night is "all Lopez." It's 10pm, do you know where your Lopez's are? George Lopez will also continue to air on sister network Nick at Nite in the overnight every night from 3:18am-7am. That's a whole lotta Lopez! Sheeow!

Stand-up comedian George Lopez stars as George, a guy who has made lemonade from lemons at every turn. Since he became plant manager at an L.A. airplane parts factory, George has handled a complicated job, a strong but demanding marriage, two rebellious children, a mother who can't keep track of her own lies about his childhood and an adult niece with an enormous inheritance and absolutely no sense of boundaries -- all with his sense of humor intact. Constance Marie, Belita Moreno, Masiela Lusha, Luis Armand Garcia and Valente Rodriguez co-star.

Mom co-creator/executive producer Chuck Lorre, series star Allison Janney and recurring guest star Emily Osment will join governmental leaders at the White House Champions of Change event on Friday, April 29 to honor 10 individuals from across the country who are being recognized as "White House Champions of Change for Advancing Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery." During the event, the Mom team will participate in a panel discussion with Surgeon General Vivek Murthy about the portrayal of addiction and recovery in the media, including on the critically acclaimed CBS/Warner Bros. Television comedy (Thursdays 9/8c). Additionally, the event will feature remarks by White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett and Director of National Drug Control Policy Michael Botticelli. Since its debut in 2013, Mom has tackled subject matter rare for a broadcast series, including addiction, recovery, sobriety and, most recently, the overdose and death of Osment's character.

George Lopez Marathon to Air on TV Land on April 23; Remembering Director James Sheldon and Ken Howard from The White Shadow

TV Land will air a George Lopez marathon for the first time on Saturday, April 23 from 4-11pm ET/PT. No word yet if the series will air in a regular timeslot. It currently airs on Nick at Nite in the late night/early morning hours. We will have complete marathon details when they become available.

The new TV Land comedy Lopez will premiere next Wednesday, March 30 at 10pm ET/PT. It's the real George Lopez we rarely get to see as he struggles to find his place among the worlds of race, class and fame. In the series premiere "Slave for a Day," George gets auctioned off at his daughter's elite private school fundraiser attended by his enemies. He doesn't want to embarrass himself or his daughter, or get bought by Snoop Dogg.

Director James Sheldon, who directed episodes of over 100 series, has died. He died from complications of cancer on March 12 at his home in Manhattan, New York. Mr. Sheldon was 95.

Sheldon's early sitcom directing credits included ten episodes of Mr. Peepers in 1952. He directed a full season of The Bing Crosby show in 1964-1965. In 1967, he directed eight episodes of My Three Sons. Other credits included seven episodes of That Girl, eight episodes of Room 222, eight episodes of Love, American Style and six episodes of Sanford and Son.

Some of his other sitcom directing credits included The Donna Reed Show, Angel, Margie, The Patty Duke Show, My Mother the Car, O.K. Crackerby!, Family Affair, Petticoat Junction, Julia, To Rome with Love, My World and Welcome to It, Bridget Loves Bernie, Alice, M*A*S*H, The Love Boat and Sledge Hammer!.

He was mostly known for his work directing dramas. He directed 44 episodes of The Millionaire from 1957-1960. He worked on 6 episodes of The Twilight Zone in 1961-1962, including the classic "It's a Good Life." Other series he directed multiple episodes of included Zane Grey Theater, Perry Mason, Death Valley Days, Naked City, Route 66, The Fugitive, Walt Disney's World of Color, Owen Marshall, Counselor at Law, Petrocelli, McMillan & Wife, The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo, The Dukes of Hazzard and Lottery!.

Survivors include his sons Tony and James, Jr., and three grandsons.

The Archive of American Television conducted an extensive interview with him on April 6, 2005.

His "It's a Good Life" episode of The Twilight Zone, which starred Bill Mumy and Cloris Leachman, is considered by some fans to be one of the best of the series. We thank him for the entertainment he brought us over the years. He will be deeply missed.

Actor Ken Howard, who was best known for his role as Ken Reeves in The White Shadow, has died. He died of a heart attack on March 23 in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Howard was 71.

Howard starred in the short-lived 1973 ABC sitcom Adam's Rib. The romantic comedy was based on the Spencer Tracy-Katherine Hepburn 1949 film of the same title. The series starred Blythe Danner, Dena Dietrich, Ron Rifkin, Edward Winter and Norman Bartold.

He later starred as Jack Long in the short-lived 1983 ABC sitcom It's Not Easy. The series starred Jayne Meadows, Rachael Jacobs, Evan Cohen, Carlene Watkins, Bert Convy and Billy Jacoby.

He had a recurring role as Hank Hooper, Jack Donaghy's (Alec Baldwin) boss from Kabletown, in nine episodes of 30 Rock from 2011 to 2013. Some of his other sitcom credits included The Golden Girls, Arli$$, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office, George Lopez and The McCarthys.

Howard's best known role was as basketball coach and former Chicago Bulls player Ken Reeves in The White Shadow. The 1978-1981 CBS drama starred Ed Bernard, Joan Pringle, Thomas Carter, Kevin Hooks, Eric Kilpatrick, Nathan Cook, Timothy Van Patten, Ken Michelman, Ira Angustain and Byron Stewart.

He earlier starred in the crime drama The Manhunter, which aired on CBS in 1974-1975. He had a recurring role as Garrett Boydston in Dynasty and the spin-off series The Colbys. He appeared in five episodes of Melrose Place as George Andrews. Howard starred as Max Cavanaugh, Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh's (Jill Hennessy) father, in Crossing Jordan. In 2007, he appeared as the villain Joe Samuels in Cane.

His numerous television drama guest appearances included Bonanza, Medical Center, Hotel, Murder, She Wrote, Diagnosis Murder, The West Wing, The Practice, Family Law, Ghost Whisperer, Huff, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Brothers & Sisters, Eli Stone, Boston Legal, Cold Case, The Closer and Blue Bloods. He won an Emmy for his work in the 2009 HBO film Grey Gardens.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, stuntwoman Linda Fetters Howard, and three stepchildren.

Mr. Howard was excellent in the classic and underrated The White Shadow. He always gave a solid performance in all of his television and film appearances. He will be greatly missed.

TV Land Awards Return in April with New Title, George Lopez Hosting; Showtime Rolls the Dice with New Comedy

TV Land has reinvented the network's annual awards ceremony for 2016, dubbing it the TV Land Icon Awards in Celebration with Entertainment Weekly. The most passionate magazine about impactful, cutting edge TV will be coming together with the network to make this year's celebration bigger than ever. The TV Land Icon Awards honors the very best of all television and entertainment. Renowned comedian George Lopez, who stars in TV Land's new original comedy series Lopez, will host the event, taping Sunday, April 10 at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA, and airing on Sunday, April 17 at 9pm ET/PT on TV Land. Honoree announcements are forthcoming. TV Land comedy Lopez explores the real George Lopez we rarely get to see, pushed and pulled between the worlds of race, class and fame, yet always having a hard time fitting in. The series premieres next Wednesday, March 30 at 10pm.

For the first time in network history, Showtime will hold a special launch for a new series, releasing all six episodes of the new comedy Dice at once to its subscribers. The full season of Dice will be available on Sunday, April 10 starting at 12am, on the Showtime streaming service, Showtime Anytime and Showtime On Demand. The first episode of Dice will also premiere on linear TV later that day at 9:30pm ET/PT on Showtime, with subsequent episodes continuing to air every Sunday. The scripted, semi-autobiographical series will follow the life of renowned comedian, Andrew Dice Clay, chronicling the stops and starts of his attempts at a career resurgence in his transplanted home base of Las Vegas. The series also stars Kevin Corrigan, and guest stars Natasha Leggero, Lorraine Bracco, Adrien Brody, Michael Rapaport, Wayne Newton, Criss Angel and Rita Rudner. Dice joins the Showtime comedy slate that includes Shameless, House of Lies, Episodes and the upcoming comedies Roadies and I'm Dying Up Here.
