ABC Adds More New Wipeout on Thursday, Shark Tank Now July 29; Our Emmy Nominations Picks

The hilarious obstacle course series Wipeout (which regularly airs Tuesdays at 8pm) has gained more all-new Thursday airings! The original three week plan (June 24, July 1, and July 8) of originals of Wipeout on Thursdays has now been extended by two more weeks! ABC will add two more all-new episodes of the hilarious series on Thursdays, July 15 and 22, leading into solidly performing summer drama Rookie Blue. This means the all-new episode of Shark Tank scheduled for July 15 will now be delayed by two weeks and will air, as of now, on Thursday, July 29 at 8pm. Repeats of Shark Tank will air for a month or so starting Thursday, Aug. 5. Also, ABC has pulled the sixth and final episode of high stakes game show Downfall for Tuesday, July 27, as ABC will air a two-hour repeat of Wipeout: Blind Date from June 1. Downfall is still slated to air the next two weeks (July 13 and 20), as of now.
In other ABC scheduling news, they will air encores of Rookie Blue on Saturday, July 17 and 24 starting at 9pm. Still no word on if Eastwick's final two episodes will be rescheduled (after being pulled out of its July 10 airings) or if canceled stuff like Romantically Challenged, Hank, Better Off Ted will get a chance to burn-off their remaining episodes.
Anyway, view the changes that were made today and stay with us for continued updates!

Today we will give our preview of what we think the nominations for the Emmy's will look like. The real nominations will be announced tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 8:30am ET, so we will give you those then. But for now...here are our predictions for the main acting categories for the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards airing Aug. 29 on NBC:

OUTSTANDING COMEDY SERIES
Curb Your Enthusiasm (HBO)
Modern Family (ABC)
The Office (NBC)
30 Rock (NBC)
Entourage (HBO)
Glee (Fox)
MY THOUGHTS: 30 Rock has won it the last three years but I think its run is now over with Modern Family now in the mix. We could see Big Bang Theory nominated over Entourage, but please no Family Guy.

OUTSTANDING LEAD COMEDY ACTOR
Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock (NBC)
Tony Shalhoub, Monk (USA Network)
Matthew Morrison, Glee (Fox)
Steve Carell, The Office (NBC)
Larry David, Curb Your Enthusiasm (HBO)
Jim Parsons, The Big Bang Theory (CBS)
MY THOUGHTS: Baldwin has won it the last two years but I expect Jim Parsons to win this year. Maybe Charlie Sheen is nominated again, but hope not.

OUTSTANDING LEAD COMEDY ACTRESS
Edie Falco, Nurse Jackie (Showtime)
Lea Michelle, Glee (Fox)
Courteney Cox, Cougar Town (ABC)
Mary-Louise Parker, Weeds (Showtime)
Tina Fey, 30 Rock (NBC)
Toni Collette, United States of Tara (Showtime)
MY THOUGHTS: Toni Collette surprised and won last year. I think Edie Falco is the favorite this year and Tina Fey is always a contender. My dream list would have Eva Longoria-Parker here. She is hysterical! Way better than Mary-Louise Parker.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING COMEDY ACTOR
Eric Stonestreet, Modern Family (ABC)
Ed O'Neill, Modern Family (ABC)
Rainn Wilson, The Office (NBC)
Neil Patrick Harris, How I Met Your Mother (CBS)
Jeremy Piven, Entourage (HBO)
Ty Burrell, Modern Family (ABC)
MY THOUGHTS: This is very tough. Someone will be left off. Jon Cryer? Tracy Morgan? Jon Cryer won last year, but I think Modern Family cast members will push him out with Ty Burrell winning this category!

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING COMEDY ACTRESS
Vanessa Williams, Ugly Betty (ABC)
Julie Bowen, Modern Family (ABC)
Jane Krakowski, 30 Rock (NBC)
Sofia Vergara, Modern Family (ABC)
Kristen Wiig, SNL (NBC)
Jane Lynch, Glee (Fox)
MY THOUGHTS: Another tough cookie. Glee mania will probably get Jane Lynch the win here, even though Vergara and Bowen are way funnier. We could see Amy Poehler nominated like last year, but this time for Parks and Recreation.

OUTSTANDING DRAMA SERIES
Lost (ABC)
Breaking Bad (AMC)
The Good Wife (CBS)
Sons of Anarchy (FX)
Mad Men (AMC)
Dexter (Showtime)
House (Fox)
MY THOUGHTS: Mad Men has won it the last two years but seriously Lost needs to take it this year for its final season. Maybe 7 contenders again this year?

OUTSTANDING LEAD DRAMA ACTOR
Hugh Laurie, House (Fox)
Bill Paxton, Big Love (HBO)
Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad (AMC)
Matthew Fox, Lost (ABC)
Michael C. Hall, Dexter (Showtime)
Jon Hamm, Mad Men (AMC)
MY THOUGHTS: Cranston has won it the last two years. Michael C. Hall is probably the favorite and I went with darkhorse Matthew Fox over someone like Simon Baker. I mean Fox did way better acting this season than Baker.

OUTSTANDING LEAD DRAMA ACTRESS
Glenn Close, Damages (FX)
Sally Field, Brothers & Sisters (ABC)
Kyra Sedgwick, The Closer (TNT)
January Jones, Mad Men (AMC)
Katey Sagal, Sons of Anarchy (FX)
Julianna Margulies, The Good Wife (CBS)
MY THOUGHTS: Close has won it the last 2 years. Katey Sagal could sneak in on this list, but Margulies is probably going to win it. Please no more Hargitay.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING DRAMA ACTOR
Martin Short, Damages (FX)
Aaron Paul, Breaking Bad (AMC)
John Goodman, Treme (HBO)
John Slattery, Mad Men (AMC)
Terry O'Quinn, Lost (ABC)
Michael Emerson, Lost (ABC)
MY THOUGHTS: Michael Emerson won it last year, but Terry O'Quinn is back on the ballot and will win and should win it!

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING DRAMA ACTRESS
Calista Flockhart, Brothers & Sisters (ABC)
Sandra Oh, Grey's Anatomy (ABC)
Christina Hendricks, Mad Men (AMC)
Ross Byrne, Damages (FX)
Chandra Wilson, Grey's Anatomy (ABC)
Elisabeth Moss, Mad Men (AMC)
MY THOUGHTS: Cherry Jones of 24 won it last year and could be back here, but I don't think she will. Give Chandra Wilson her Emmy please!

Nominations are announced tomorrow morning. Come on back here and we will give you the official nominations and you can compare those to our picks!
